I found this wonderful medical group through Google. Little did I know what a treat I was in for! They are a very well-oiled business with smooth operations and easy flow for the patient to follow their lead. I gained so many bits of valuable health information. The staff is very professional and caring. They are well-educated and highly intuitive. I cannot recommend them any more than a 5-star review. Excellent!! Highly recommended 👌

Dr. Green and his whole staff ane very professional, they know their work, and they show that they really care for you. I highly recomment them if you think that you are having any hearing concerns.

First visit went ok, even though they insisted I see the PA not the Dr.Second visit I waited over an hour with no one letting me know how long I was going to have to wait for.When I said I would need to leave, I was taken back and the PA was extremely rude.I canceled all future visits.

Make no mistake about it, Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute primary function is to extract money. They do hearing treatment as a means to create a steady flow of cash. I was not experienced in hearing loss treatment. When I finally decided to get an evaluation I chose Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute. Primarily because they had a medical doctor on the web page and took my insurance. What learned was that this in hearing loss field is full of practices designed to exploit a vulnerable geriatric population. Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute is staffed by lab coat draped Audiologists. Note, an Audiologist is called labeled Dr., but is a 4 year BS degree. On the second appointment you are placed in a closing room like a car dealership. You are presented (4) choices of price which is separated by technology and follow-up service. Then steered to the most expensive level you can afford. My advice, go to Costco for a FREE hearing evaluation...the same one this practice charges you $500. Stay strong! Good luck!

I knew Dr Green was excellent doctor for vertigo, tinnitus initially. Recently Dr Green helped my husband who had some hearing deficiency. I was at the appointment with him. He was kind, honest, thorough with all explanation. My husband got fitted for his hearing aids and he is super happy. They are adjusted by his iPhone. And he wishes he had gotten them years ago. Thank you Jacksonville Hearing and Balance.

Dr Green is the best. Ive had serious issues with my ears for quite a long time. Chronic ear infections that 2 other Oto docs couldnt clear up. I went to Dr Green and in 2 visits my ears were no longer bothering me. Hes been very good about listening to what is happening and fixing it quickly. Couldnt be happier.

This office and staff changed my life virtually curing a chronic vertigo condition. I am forever grateful for Judy, Dr.Green and the staff for 12 years of good health.There is a problem getting prescriptions refilled but hopefully that can be resolved.

Doctor Green seems like a very competent nice guy. Not easy to get an appointment with him.Some members of his staff are unfriendly, they don’t return calls and I will never go back to that office. The two stars are for his staff.

My wife had an appointment for 2:00 pm for a battery of tests. She called the office at 2:00, letting them know she was trying to locate the office. The staff gave her directions, but when she arrived, she was told it was too late and she would have to reschedule and pay an additional $200.00 to secure her appointment. She had already paid $200.00 for the first appointment. Part of the delay was due to recent hip replacement surgery and the resulting need for a walker. We had been told that Dr. Green was a very good Doctor. Well never know because his office policies suck.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Was told I needed to leave a $200 deposit for balance testing in case my insurance didn’t cover the tests. That should have set alarm bells off. My insurance did cover the tests and then suddenly the “deposit” was non-refundable?!?!? Also, I was told that the follow up visit to learn the results of the test were covered in the testing... nope, another $50 co-pay.

I want to say thank you to the amazing staff. I had the best experience. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Dr. Green was awesome! The bed side manner is the best I have ever had anywhere

Dr. Green and the Clinical Audiologist, Ryan are both great! They are always nice and accommodating. They both went out of their way to help me get my broken BAHA replaced!!

Very happy with the care I got from Dr Green. The staff was very helpfulalso. Very professional, high marks to all.

I never saw Dr. Green. I had a PA. I had hearing testing, I had an MRI scheduled and done at another facility which I scheduled. I received results on 2nd visit follow up which I could have been told over the phone in 24 hours instead of waiting 6 weeks to know the results of my MRI. When I once again detailed the symptoms I was dealing with I was told this was not their Specialty. I left exactly as I had came with no help, and even more confused. All was treated as a big joke. I would never recommend this office to anyone.

So blessed by the caring staff at Jacksonville Hearing and Balance. The bedside manner of Judy Nelson is off the chart! Thank you! 1 Peter 4:9-10

Best ear doctor in Jacksonville. Dr Greene is fantastic. His Staff is top notch as well - especially Alison the surgery coordinator.

Dr. Green has completely saved my ear and hearing abilities. I had a botched surgery at University of Alabama Birmingham and he completely restored everything almost back to normal. If you have a ruptured ear drum, do not see anyone but Dr. Green!

I want to thank Mallory in the flma dept. She went way above and beyond getting my paper work for me. Thanks Mallory!!!!!!!!! I also would like to add that dr. Green is the best menieres doctor ever. I refer him to the menieres support group!!!!!!@!!!

Dr Green and his staff are exceptional. Im dealing with a serious issue and they have been nothing but compassionate and helpful. I couldnt be happier with my decision to go here.

Dr.J. Douglas Green and his amazing staff took very good care of my husband and myself, durning his surgery. Very nice and professional people.

I was very disappointed in the treatment by this staff. I had a 3pm appt but they wanted me there at 230. I got lost and didnt get there till 3. They refused to let me do the paperwork then.stating it was too late. I asked if the doctor was waiting for me or was he running late. I was informed that i was not seeing Dr Green but was seeing a PA. when this appt was made none of this was explained to me and i assumed i was seeing Dr Green for my vertigo not a PA. They still refused to let me do the paperwork. As i was leaving 2 different patients stated they were seeing PA and she was very good but they were already 25 minutes past the appointment so the PA was running late I could have done the paperwork and saw her but they refused. She stated she had to get it in computer. I could have input it for her in 5 minutes. I guess they dont need new patients and could not be bothered explaining to me when the made the appointment I would not see the Doctor. Very poor communications with the staff.

I’m so glad I only have to see this ENT once because I will never come back. Ashley from the doctors office called me to set up an appointment because they had received a referral from my primary care. I needed to be seen only to have a small wax trap removed that had gotten lodged in my ear canal from my hearing aid. She told me I was getting a hearing test which I didn’t request or need as I wear hearing aids and have an audiologist I see regularly.I was lectured that my appt was at 9 but I HAD to get there at 8:30 with 14 pages of paperwork completed ahead of time or I might not be able to be seen. I was in stand still traffic that morning due to an accident so I called them to tell them I might be 10 minutes late. The girl on the phone told me because I was late I might be moved to a later appt.I arrived at 8:40 with completed paperwork for a 9 appointment. They then tell me they didn’t have a referral and it was my responsibility to get it to them, so my appointment was being moved from 9 to 10. I told the rude front desk lady that they had to have had my referral because they were the ones that called me because they received the referral and Ashley already knew my address and who my insurance was with.The lady then told me my appointment was being moved anyway because the doctor called out that day. Well, when I called in a panic to let them know I was running 10 minutes behind , they didn’t say anything about the doctor not being in and moving my appt. They made it sound like because I arrived 10 minutes past the time I was supposed to be there, that was the reason they moved my appointment time.Terrible customer service!!!

Great doctor who truly cares. The best doctor in JAX for anything related to ear problems. Excellent staff.
