I live in one of these neighborhoods and all the negative reviews are well founded. My issues have all been due to the poor management out of the office. The first issue I had was with the security folks at the pool. My 8 year old lost his ID and they wouldnt let him in the pool even though I was with him. We said fine and would pay the $3 guest fee. The officer said no if hes a resident he has to have an ID. To make a long story short we had to leave with my kids crying because they couldnt go swimming. I tried contacted the office to let them know how ridiculous the system is, but no one was there at 2:00 in the afternoon. I called the property management office and again got a voice mail. They called me back and said I would need to get a new ID, duh.Just recently I needed to get a new ID for myself I was on vacation for a week and decided to go to the office and get a new ID. Well guess what at 3:30 there was no one in the office. They are quick to send you letters if your late on your dues but god forbid a resident has an issue with the common area cause no one is ever around to get in touch with. Except the security guys who only no not to let anyone on property without an ID

Extremely angry 😡 I live in this neighborhood and pay my bills. I have recently been diagnosed with ALS. I drove my motorized wheelchair with my two year old, her grandma and my dog to the park... that I pay to use. We were the only people there and only wanted to go down the slide a couple of times and swing. Maybe spend 10 minutes there. My daughter went down the slide one time and we were approached by a security guard saying we could not be there unless we had a pass. Okay sir, we are literally the only people here... not destroying property or doing drugs. Let my family play at the damn park for 10 minutes. I am not gonna wheel all the way home to prove that I live here. Terrible people. Might as well stop paying my HOA because I can’t even go to the park for 2 minutes.

I live in neighborhood a few blocks past this intersection. I pulled into the parking lot of the pool to use my phone so that I wouldnt do so while driving and was promptly approached by a security guard and asked to vacate the premises or the cops would be called. I treated the security guard with respect and informed her I needed a few more minutes and could relocate to a different parking location while I took care of what I needed to and would be on my way in a few minutes, letting her know I wasnt causing any trouble or threat to the property of Chimney Lakes. The security guard proceeded to pull out her phone and displayed that she was calling the police, I knew it wasnt worth the trouble of waiting for an officer and talking to him for 5 minutes to have the officer shake their head at the situation and ask me to politely leave to avoid any drama. I proceeded to call the HOA to ask that they would consider addressing the situation by either having the security guard treat people that obviously arent causing any mischief with more respect or by placing signage indicating that it isnt only the amenities that are for resident use only but any access to the property. The lady who contacted me back was very rude to me despite my efforts to explain respectfully the situation that happened. That current signage conveys the meaning that amenities are for private residence use rather than the property in its entirety, and that if this is the message they want to convey then a no trespassing sign should be placed in plain view (as I looked for such signage upon entering to make certain I was being respectful). Also that the security guard or company they use should treat surrounding residents who are being respectful and not causing any sort of disturbance with equal respect and understanding. I merely received rude platitudes and straw man arguments in return. I cant speak as to how they handle their own residents but seeing the other reviews it seems their are similar experiences, regardless I know I would never consider purchasing a home in this neighborhood that fails to treat fellow neighbors with respect.

The administrator was completely rude when I called to ask some general questions about architectural review. She flat out refused to advise me of the required documentation and I actually had to hang-up on her to avoid having an argument in the office. Im not asking for personal information, just whats REQUIRED by the HOA so we can move forward effectively with a re-roof. I have NEVER received such arrogant and unhelpful service from any HOA in Jacksonville EVER!

Today is June 26 2017 at 10.32 am I contacted the HOA at Chimey Lakes and was not a great experience, the lady (agent) that answers my call answered with bad attitude because she was supposed assisting a customer in front of her. I am personal belived thats was not a professional way to answer to someone on the other side of the line. I trying to explain that the voice mail was full not allows me to left a message she was rude and hang up the phone on my face. I hope someone on this company give her a Customer Service TRAINING. I read the other reviews and obviously the bad customer services coming from far away, nothing new.

Ill be the only somewhat good review here. I have lived in chimney lakes for most of my life (18 years) I saw its good times amd bad times as a kid and as a teenager. Now that I am an adult I can say while its not as good as when I first moved in it still is a place that se hoas dont have. A pool to swim in, a nice referbished playground and a good referbished basketball and tennis court. Along with a ton of land in the back to use and it even has a baseball field! I dont give this place a 5 star because I think customer service could be a little better and they could be a least more staff in the area. Other than that the 4 stars are for the memories and fun activities they have for not just your kids but for you as an adult to enjoy.

We wasn’t credit some of our his payment. They are still charging us for a payment that we paid even though we had proof to show we have. We have tried contacting several people about this issue even went us to the office however no one will return our call. These people are the worst

The pool is disgusting. Mold growing on the bottom and they havent cleaned it up yet. Been a couple weeks now. Security guard hangs out at McDonalds and drives over when she sees someone pulling up. What a waste!

Worst HOA, Do NOT move into any neighborhood that is controlled by these people. The ridiculous rules and hidden fines will cause you to want to move as far away as possible. Also this is just the clubhouse the real office is in Yule.
