Dr. Gould is the kind of guy you like, trust and feel confident in as soon as you meet him. You get his full, undivided attention during your appointment and he actually listens to you. He answers your questions and explains his diagnosis to you in a way that you understand.Equally important is that his diagnosis is correct and his treatment brings you much needed relief.Sometimes he runs behind but you understand and appreciate this when he is seeing you because he takes the time you need.I highly recommend Dr. Gould.

Dr. Gould started off wonderful or so I thought. Wait time to be seen is horrible be prepared to spend the day there. Its been a year my ankle still isnt right but Ive honestly given up on them. Its about the money not the patient.

I did the online paper work and went there at 12:44pm for the 12:50pm appointment. I was out at 1:35pm. In that time I talked to practitioner, my knees X-ray taken, talked to the Dr. Kamal about the X-ray and further actions and scheduled MRI and next visit. It was amazing how fast was the whole thing. Usually there is a min 20-30 min waiting time to be called and get in the room. They do such an amazing job!

Very a friendly; very professional; very efficient. My Dr. spent much time explaining my condition using my x-rays, educating me, answering my questions, recommending treatments. Most importantly, he was conservative on my treatment, not jumping forward to aggressive surgery.

I have had 2 different injuries where Dr. Hastings and his amazing assistant Fred and staff cared for me. I am always uncomfortable going to any doctor however every experience I’ve had with JOI has been professional and 💯 % always left me feeling cared for on every level! Saw Dr. Dale Whitaker back in 2017 for a broken wrist and with his help and physical therapy my wrist is back to 90% of what it was before the break. Now I am seeing him for problems with arthritis in my knees. He is conscientious and the staff is very cordial and helpful.

Dr. Whittaker and his staff Meagan and Raven are the very best of the best.

I accidentally went to the wrong location because It was closer to me which is the Beaches location. My ankle is broken. There were two front desk and I felt ignored I had to tell her excuse me I had an appt at 10 then the youngest girl helped me, I believe her name is Bailey. She said it was at the other location and did not try to help me by calling them. I asked if they had anything for today and she said nope. Not until next week. I told her I cant wait till next week my ankle is broken. She had no compassion at all and was so cold and rude. I ended up going home and called the San Marco location. The girl was more nice and said I can be seen at the beaches at 3:20 today. So Bailey lied to me and did not help me out at all. Very stressful

Dr. Mark Gould is a highly skilled ankle and foot surgeon. He was not afraid to level with me and tell me the truth. He handled my emotional state with aplumb. He successfully completed my surgery despite complications, and he sat down and explained everything with photos to my family member. All JOI staff were efficient, compassionate, and were working hard on my behalf to give me the best service and care. Highly recommend.

Dr. Gould is one of the most caring doctors I have ever been to. His patient care is second to none. I’ve been to him twice with injuries I felt I couldn’t explain well and he was able to figure out what I meant and easily diagnose and set me on a path to being pain free. Highly recommend!

Dr. Gould is really great, very attentive and compassionate. Scheduling is a mess- I waited 45 minutes to get seen. Rude and snippy reception desk people, who took your temperature but never once in the time I was there ever looked to see what the temp was.

Great attitudes and outstanding rapport with their patients. Dr. Graham was a breath of fresh air for surgery, with an amazing attention to detail for his patients’ needs and/or possible concerns.

Dr Graham is delightful - he carefully & intently listened as I described the issue for which I was being seen. He was thoughtful & thorough with his examination & diagnosis. I was anxious going into the appointment but Dr Graham put me completely at ease - it turned out to be a rather pleasant experience!

Got in to see Dr. Young within a day of calling for an appointment. Office visit was very well organized and I got to see Dr. young at the appointment time. Visit went well and arm is already improving from tennis elbow. Will be setting up physical therapy with the office tomorrow.

The practice is well prepared to operate in the CoVid-19 era. The facility is clean and efficiently run. There was minimal wait time as I had an appointment. They do get busy, so an appointment is always recommended, if possible. Everyone was kind and patient even though I was not in the proper framework or mood to properly reciprocate. Good people - Good care.

Had bone spurs in my left shoulder gave me a shot, it helped but still hurting going back for MRI per Dr instructions.

I went to see another doctor about my foot pain, but was not at all happy with him. Then I remembered I had seen Dr. Young years ago for my hand, (which he took great care of). The receptionist said he was booked up, but she would talk to him about me. Voila! I was fit into his schedule for the next week, went to see him, and was given treatment to alleviate my foot pain. I also want to add that when I called to change an appointment, the gal I spoke with, I believe her name was Rylee (or something similar), was so kind and caring, pleasant and professional. She deserves a gold star!

Once again I experienced first-rate care at JOI. When I have needed orthopedic care for one injury or another over the years, I turn to JOI. Its easy to schedule an appointment online, the staff is always courteous and helpful, and I have complete confidence in my doctor, who has always provided the highest level of care.

I had broken my foot. It took me to Baptist Beaches. I need to see a orthopedic. I was referred by the Hospital to Dr. Timothy Hastings. I felt so lucky. His compassionate knowledgeable and put me back on my feet

This review is for JOI Beaches. For the first time if I was rating JOI South it would not be a good rating as in the past.

The staff were very polite and professional. Dr Gould was great! He listens to what my problems are and clearly explains the treatment that is needed in a way that is easy to understand. The office is clean and has adequate space for all patients without feeling like we are sitting on top of one another, which is nice, especially during this time with COVID precautions being necessary.

Been trying to make appointment for 3 days. Phone system keeps putting me in a loop and never gets answered. My husband is in pain and needs to be seen for an injection. Cant believe no one else has experiencing this problem.

I was referred to JOI about 12 years ago by a doctor. Excellent services and I have referred friends when they moved to Jacksonville. Very confident in the diagnosis and treatments.

Courteous,efficient, and took time to explain X-rays. Also called back soon after stating I had some questions.

Dr. Gould is probably the best and smartest doctor I’ve ever had. You can tell he knows what he’s talking about but he also tries to not confuse you with medical jargon. Everyone I’ve met there is very nice, I’ve never had a long wait time, and they’re very cautious of COVID precautions. They’re very efficient and don’t waste your time. Dr. Gould also did my operation and it healed perfectly and there’s barely any scarring. He also personally reached out to me after the surgery to ask how I was healing up.

Used to be a good place. Not sure what happened but I urge anyone who is in pain and looking for a place that actually cares about making sure their patients are taken care of to go somewhere else. Thankfully I found a much better doctor after dealing with this place. I just hope this review helps save anyone fromthe stress this place will put you through.

The entire staff at JOI is welcoming and efficient. Dr. Gould and his team were compassionate and patient as they examined and treated my foot. I highly recommend JOI. I could not be in better hands.

Office and Dr seemed off to me. At least with Workers Compensation case. I remember actually being told my hand was not fractured (like I was told by the ER)I actually pointed out the Fracture to the Dr. It was obvious on the Xray. The Dr corrected himself. Just never sat right with me seemed shady. This did happen in 2017. Maybe things changed. I just wonder if this was a common practice. Workers Compensation or not. You need to put the patient first.

Want to know whats wrong with American healthcares system, deal with these people. Charge me $250 to see a doctor for less than 3 minutes and give me a printout from Amazon for a broken ankle. I wouldnt refer my worst enemy to these snake oil salesman.

Where do I start as a nurse, JOI’s marketing may be spot on with endorsement by the Jaguars but this orthopedic physician groups is terrible! Most of the physicians lack compassion the staff is left to orders which aren’t questioned much less necessary. If you want quality care these surgeons and physicians are not the place. Recommending surgery should always be the last resort. Shameful. Forget asking for assistance or a wheelchair. The only staff that was professional were the X-ray techs.

The staff were very helpful &listen 2 what i had 2 say. The Dr. Dr. Did not rush me & took time 2 explain about my hip & what was wrong. Iwill definitely b going back if i need 2 see an Orthopedic Dr . I will go back 2 Dr. Whittaker.

The team was great from the front desk Ronda who squeezed me in - toDr. Whitaker a true professional who took the time to explain things to me - no rushing !! and Brandon who fitted me for my boot. I highly recommend their practice and glad i went there !!

I had Dr. Hastings as my ortho doc twice in the past and the experience was exceptional.After a car accident on 8/20 this year, my MRI showed damage to both my left shoulder and neck.Because I dont have a personal insurance policy, I cannot be treated for my injuries. The gal I spoke w never asked if I was at fault, whether I had PIP nor whether I had legal representation. She flat out said, no insurance, no appointment w our doctors.WOW!! I will keep that in mind for the future..

Dr Dale Whitaker is the best! Two crushed wrists, a couple of years apart, pieced back together with plates and screws with no loss of mobility or function. Remarkable results! I was in and out! The doctor was very knowledgeable and was able to help me with an issue Id attempted to diagnose for years through many doctors. The desk staff were also very nice and knew what they were doing.

Dr young is absolutely terrible. My husband suffers so badly 12 years after his surgery that his life will always be debilitating and discomfort due to the lack of proper care from this doctor. His bedside manner is absolutely disgusting also to say the least. Dont waste your time, money, or lifes mobility on doctor young.

Doctors are knowledgable, patient-focused, explain problems, procedures, good follow-thru and follow-up. Dr. Whitaker at Beaches JOI went out of his way to perform an unscheduled, last minute minor surgery. Took the time to explain what he would do and how he would correct the problem albeit probably a minor one for him. He made it easy to put my trust in him. The RNs and medical staff are as patient-focused as the doctors. They stopped everything to schedule an emergency surgery with Baptist and made sure I had everything I needed to get the surgery done. If its an orthopaedics issue you have, JOI is a great choice.

My husband, Michael Swanson was referred to the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute by Dr. Gregory Smith for pain and lack of mobility from his left ankle. Dr. Gould was exceptional. We noticed the professional and friendly, personal atmosphere in his office complex. Dr. Gould took weight bearing Xrays and referred us to the First Step Shoe store in Jacksonville. The shoes and orthotics have been ordered and we are hopeful that surgery will not be necessary. Dr. Gould will followup with us in about six weeks. Thank you again for your services. Just moved to this area from New York and now establishing new relationships. This facility is great, so far. Professional and friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably on time appointment. Very thorough examination with a doctor that obviously listened and caredCheck out all the reviews of the other options you have in selecting a facility... you will be very happy that you finally chose this place.

Not only has Dr. Bohsali been a fantastic physician, hes an excellent surgeon. No uppity facade. In fact the day of my surgery, my daughter said I can see him mowing his own lawn!

The office is very efficient from appointment setting to ordering tests. MRI appt. set while i waited. Receptionist was kind, Dr. Young was very kind, caring and thorough. My previous xray was on screen during exam. I felt confident that I was in good care.

I have had knee replacement, as well as other surgeries and interactions with JOA and, I have to say, they are the best. Aside from being very pleased with the doctors who have taken care of my issues, the P.A.s and rest of the staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous.

I had a fall on vacation in Seattle, Washington. From the minute I contacted the institute when I got back with my daughter who resides in Connecticut, every single professional and staff member provided excellent care and arranged surgery the next morning. Last summer my son injured his knee and Carmen worked with him diligently so that he was able to fully recover. This trip around we are back again for a Sprained ankle. On our first visit Dr. Gould, treated us with the utmost respect. He and his team jump on the situation without hesitation. There is no other place that I would rather be. They are extremely knowledge and will not hesitate to help you have a fully recovery.
