Great doctor, truly cares about patients. Office staff is always friendly and helpful. *Update as of July 2021 Dr. Patel is no longer with their practice. They went from a 5 to a 1. Office staff changed some as well. Until they get a doctor in, they transferred me to another doc temporarily and after waiting two weeks for them to call me back, they told me they didn’t take my insurance. So I was like ok, why would my doc office transfer me somewhere that doesn’t take my insurance? They apologized and said they were working with a diff place and sent me there. Took me 3 weeks to get in with the doc there, and he tells me he doesn’t treat adult patients for my needs. So River City Primary Care transferred me to two doctors that can’t treat me, so I call them up and the woman rudely tells me to call insurance and find my own doc! Wow, this place DOES not care about their patients one bit! After two years with this practice, I will gladly be leaving. I called a nearby primary care provider and was able to easily get in with them.

I can not thank Dr. Patel enough for helping me when I needed it most. My old doctor basically gave up on me in a way, and mislead me to believing I would be on a certain medication forever. With Dr. Patels guidance, and advise I have been flourishing. My physical, and mental health have never been better. Thank you Dr. Patel, and staff! You are all amazing, and so helpful!

Be careful with this place if you are seeking allergy treatment. I recently moved to the area and came to visit for chronic nose congestion. After an allergy test, it was found that I am allergic to almost everything. Dr. Patel said we could treat me with allergy shots at his office which was strange because you usually get referred to an Allergist.....Almost immediately after getting the first round of shots, I felt a reaction. I asked the nurse VERY simple questions like These are my symptoms, what is happening to me?, Do you have an epipen?, What do you do to other patients that have a reaction?. She could not answer anything and was completely useless. She then left me in the room and told me I could go home whenever I wanted....She had no idea how to treat someone who was having an allergic reaction. There was no prescription or talk about antihistamines or home treatment.12 hours after that dose, I had what my current Allergist called a delayed anaphylactic reaction... at home.. in the middle of the night. I was lucky to make it out through the night alive.. I reached out to Dr. Patels office first thing in the morning in pure panic, there was no sense of urgency or accountability at all.Fortunately, Dr. Patel did call me back and gave me my options for treatment... which were to go to ER or drive all the way across the city to his secondary office and he could see me immediately. I chose the latter since ER is very expensive.Once I got there, I was appalled that his staff had NO idea that I had called that morning and no sense of urgency to get me treatment. All they did was ask for my insurance and copay and told me to wait in the waiting room like a normal patient and went back to cutting up and chatting. Once I was seen, I got a steroid shot and then was told that I shouldve been told to do all this stuff around my treatment....How about telling your staff this instead of the patient??? I even was told by the nurse that no one has ever had a reaction like I had and there was something else going on. Are you kidding me?? Its called anaphylaxis and you can die from it....smhVery unprofessional service and will not be back. I can not believe they are allowed to give this treatment when the staff does not understand how to handle a disaster scenario, nor can I understand how they are called an urgent care when there is no sense of urgency whatsoever.

Dr Patel prescribed unnecessary allergy tests during a routine office visit. Last year he suggested that I had had a heart attack and I spent several hundred dollars seeing a cardiologist for nothing. This past May he offered to test me for allergies in his office, on a routine visit. He told me my insurance would pay for this. I had no complaints of allergies or any other problems. Two days ago the bill came for that and is nearly $2100 which I cannot pay as I am on social security disability.

Dr just took me off pain medicine knowing no one else would write it under the insurance he had me change to so he could keep seeing me . I am so sick now and in terrible pain . This is not how you treat patients, he took an oath to help patients and has broken that oath .
