Dr. Rao was great! He was very professional and helped me with an internal bleed. He diagnosed me immediately and gained my trust quickly. I can tell he’s been practicing for over 20 years.

Very unprofessional! During the consultation he kelp interrupting me asking me why are you here numerous of times. I told him my Dr. office sent me that’s why I am here. cell phone rung and he took the call ( how rude )! I paid $65 just to be rudely interrupted and disrespected. When I left I told him sorry we bother you. I would never recommend anyone to see him.

My son and I are not pleased with the treatment weve received from Dr. Rao nor his office staff. The first time we met him he wouldnt listen to our questions. He just kept holding up his hand and telling me to let him finish everything he had to say, and then we could ask whatever we wanted. When I did get my chance to ask my questions, he interrupted me every time I spoke. A few days later I had to call the office to schedule a colonoscopy and his nurse was quite rude to me on the phone. Right after the colonoscopy, Dr. Rao just walked up to me, handed me the pictures, said, Hes got Crohns, and walked away. No explanation. I had to ask him to come back and tell me what we do from there. He gave me a quick answer and walked away, again. I had to ask the surgical nurse what he said and for clarification. This week we had a consultation with Dr. Rao for him to give us his recommendation of treatment. Thankfully, he was more pleasant than the last time. But my son wants to get a second opinion, so he called the office and spoke to the nurse, asking for a referral. She told him they dont give out referrals. He checked with the doctors office that he wanted to go to next and they said that Dr. Raos office should give a referral with no problem. So, he called them, again, and was told by the nurse, again, that they dont give referrals, then hung up on him. That is no way to treat a young man who has just found out he has a disease. I believe it is not difficult to just be kind. Its a simple thing to ask. And to be treated with dignity and respect. I dont even know if Dr. Rao is a good GI, but to pay to be treated this way is not something Im willing to do. We are going to find another doctor as soon as possible.

Very unprofessional I have active gi bleeding since before March 2017 he did upper and lower GI told me he could NOT find anywhere that I was bleeding. Bleeding still present ended up in hospital in June he was consulted he came without exam said I had hemorrhoids I showed nurses and hospitalitist the blood in toilet ended up getting 2 units of blood the hospitalist called Dr Rao he then did colonoscopy did not tell me anything told hospitalist I had mild diverticulitis no hemorrhoids no active bleeding. That night I was still bleeding hospitalist consulted Dr Rao again he was told to discharge me tell me to call his office schedule a endoscope that he will do it outpatient. The hospitalist was not satisfied neither was I they did complete labs 1 hour before I was discharged my blood count was half what it supposed to be but I was discharged anyway and told to go to my primary first thing.
