I have never experienced a doctor like Sistrunk!! He takes his time going over your medical records with you. He spent over an hour in the exam room with me explaining everything. He’s by far the best endocrinologist I’ve met. He do have nurses but I noticed he like to do hands on with his patients so he’ll know exactly what is going on. I have already started recommending him to family and friends. 😊

Going to see an Endocrinologist can be a little uneasy because you don’t know what to expect. Dr. Sistrunk was so thorough in explaining every detail of my procedure, which made the process feel less intimidating. The staff at the front desk along with all the other nurses and technicians were friendly. They asked me repeatedly was I okay during my biopsy. If you need to go to an Endocrine Clinic, it’s one of the best!Carla Carey

Received excellent care. Dr. Sistrunk spent over an hour with me explaining things and answering my questions. He was also extremely thorough and went all the way back to the records from my initial diagnosis of thyroid disease. The staff is friendly and efficient as well. The wait was not long either.

I returned today for my second visit. I saw Amanda K. Boyanton for the first time. Didnt know of her or what to expect. She was very thorough. A compassionate, caring, patient God sent. I really appreciate her kindness, but most of all her professional manner and a woman of God. She is someone who listens and hears what I was saying. She gave me good news and consolation. Every member of the staff was exceptionally nice as well. I thank God for each if them.

Absolutely loved dr. Sistrunk. He was very kind, very thorough, and explained everything that he was going to do before doing it! He asked several times if I had any questions, and documented everything as we discussed it. The biopsy was almost painless as was the lab work before the appointment. I feel very confident that I made the right choice in seeing him!

A potential problem with my thyroid gland was identified on a routine medical visit. My sister and brother-in-law had both been to this clinic for treatment in the past and recommended Dr. Sistrunk. It was a great experience. The staff is professional, competent, and knowledgeable. Dr. Sistrunk’s expertise and calm, soothing demeanor was just what I needed to go through the process of having a biopsy.

Dr. Woody SISTRUNK is my endocrinologist!!! I have been going to him for several years for under active thyroid and nodules. He is one of the most brilliant doctors that I have ever known!!! Not only is he highly intelligent, he is a very caring, compassionate,and soft/spoken gentle doctor!! Each time I go, he reviews my records from my first visit until the last visit to be sure he doesn’t miss a thing!!! When he does a sonogram each year, he does it himself. You follow him back to your first room and he brings his new film in and lays it across the table, circling, sketching, and showing any changes or details he sees!!! You will love Dr. SISTRUNK!! He has plenty of time for his patience and my wait is always very, very short before I see him!!! If you want the best, an expert, and a caring, precise endocrinologist, call him immediately!!! I rate him 5 stars - THE TOP!!!!

Dr. Sistrunk spent time to go over the history, explain ultrasound results and biopsy procedure. He was very patient and listened to my concerns. The staff were also very nice and helpful. When I checked in, the front desk lady checked my insurance for me and answered my questions. The nurse checked on me all the time during procedure. Theres only one small problem. When I was checking out, l had a question about the insurance coverage about the pathology Lab. I wanted to know if the pathology Lab that the samples were sending to in the network and couldnt get help. I understood that this may not be her responsibility to find out for me.l called the insurance and found out it is in the network. Just one suggesion, if they could tell us where they are going to send the samples for pathology before the clinic visit, it may be helpful. Overall, it was a good experience.

Dr. Sistrunk is an excellent doctor and he has wonderful nurses. To bad I cant say the same about the business office their is this lady name Val who has awful customer service. It really saddens me how she treat patients. She treat you as if you have no insurance and is very rude when it comes to assisting those who want to set up payment arrangements. When people are sick compassion is what they are in need of and she lacks that. She is a poor example of customer service. We have to do better for the patients they are the reason your facility is running.

Love, love, love Dr. Sistrunk! He treats three members of my family, two of which have had thyroid cancer, all have hypothyroidism and I have hyperparathyroidism. He handles the most complicated of conditions with clear and concise explanations. I love his thoroughness and attention to detail. I have never left his office wondering what is going on with my health! And his office staff is the best!

A great group of dedicated persons. They are very professional and care about the patient. They do not rush in, say all is fine, and rush out. They take time to find out how you have been feeling and address any concerns.

Great experience! First time seeing this physician. Updated 7-6-2021 I still think its a good clinic just not a good fit for me. I was put in with the NP and the experience was not as expected. She is nice and likeable but I would have liked to see the doctor at my follow-ups. Basically, I was put on meds and then taken off. I have Hashimotos Disease and my TSH and T4 always come back normal. Since my labs were in range I was taken off meds and told that feeling this way is normal. I have not felt normal in a long time. I am currently searching for a functional medicine doctor. Great experience. Dr. Sistrunk is a great doctor. He took time to go over my history and my diagnosis. He showed me my images and labs and explained what they meant. He explained to my diagnosis to me and how he came up with the diagnosis. The staff was very professional, nice and helpful. I would highly recommend Jackson Thyroid and Endocrine to anyone with thyroid issues.

Dr. Sistrunk saw me as a favor for another doctor during the summer when I didn’t have medical insurance. I’m an instructor at a Univeristy and I wasn’t going to have another contract until Sept. my issues were urgent! He saw me immediately (while he wasn’t accepting new patient) and he saw me for FREE! Because I was sick and needed care ASAP! I eventually had insurance again but he could have pushed me off until then. I know doctors must be paid and that it’s a business but it’s VERY RARE to meet a doctor that will go out of his was to help someone and do it knowing he’s doing it for free! He’s the embodiment of the hippocratic oath! The staff was nice and they worked with me setting up a payment plan after my insurance began. He was thorough and very professional. He explained everything beautifully! I recommend Dr. Sistrunk to anyone needing medical care!
