A very strange place. Came here to find the Howard Hannah listing, couldnt find it. The houses are all stacked right on top of one another, no privacy at all. I was accosted by a 5 year old who told me I couldnt be there without someone from the village. Very unfriendly neighborhood, definitely wouldnt want to live there.
People who want to live in a community fully committed to the meaning of that word have been gathering. Probably many such places exist, but my direct experience of White Hawk shows it to be a wonderful example. Real human scale, with good will and thoughtfulness in the planning. Now about half complete, this is a place to seek out if you hope for plain and simple shared and cooperative living.
An amazing, friendly place full of people that you want to call neighbors!
Very friendly welcoming community with great social events once in a while.
