If you have brown skin beware! I went in for a consultation and left burnt. For reasons unbeknownst to me they tested on my face around my mouth. During their “ skin test” the machine smoked and I told them I was in excruciating pain. The technician claimed the pain was a product of my skin color and curly hair. Days later when my skinned turned black, scabs fell off and I was left with dark spots, I called Vein Laser Center. I basically felt dismissed given that they just kept reiterating that it was no ones fault and seemed to not care what was happening to my skin. Fast forward to 5 months later. I see another technician at a different place and they say the test spots from months prior have left pigmentation/ scar issues around my mouth. The other technicians also think there could have been an operation error at Vein Laser Center: potentially the settings were incorrect or they did not use the YAG laser for colored skin. The other techs suspect this because #1 I told them about the machine smoking and #2 I told them they gave me green goggles which are typically only worn when using a broad spectrum laser which is for fair or Caucasian skin. I didn’t want to waste time leaving a review but when it’s five months later and you walk into a dermatological appointment and they say, What happened to your face? There’s a problem.
Great office and very caring people who go WAY over and beyond for you. LIsa is a great technician and Dr. Monaghan is very friendly--always a smile.
Awesome
