My daughter and I waited on a hallway bed for more than 8 hours with barely any staff to speak of (or TO)... Told wed be seen by midnight.....didnt get seen until after 2am.......only good people we seen were Jeffery (with black hair & glasses) and Travin.

I am not usually one to make complaints. But I felt this to be crossing a line. In the ER, they had me wait 3+ hours in the waiting room before even being taken back. Others around me also had similar wait times and were in significant amounts of pain. It is not safe for people to have to wait this long in the conditions they are in.Most of the staff was kind. But overall, a disappointing experience.

The wait is always long. It does not seem as though COVID is a great worry here (as of late June 2020). The waiting room had someone with obvious symptoms sitting 12ft from a few of us, actively getting ill. There was someone asking the preliminary questions when you arrive & making sure you have a proper mask, I’ll give them that.My experience once entering the ER this time was of great staff that had an idea of how to treat my issue, but it did not work. Other visits here have warranted a major brush off of my visible issues as if I was a complete waste of time. There was no covid test offered and no one asked me to quarantine afterwards. I did this on my own. Overall, I’ve been extremely hesitant to enter the ER, even if needed, due to the spotty care & expertise. It’s disappointing.

I took my daughter here at 4 in the morning. The moment we walked in they took my daughters name and we saw a nurse right away who got some information from us about what was going on. She was very nice and then brought us back to a room. Another nurse came in who was AMAZING. My daughter isn’t very good with doctors (she’s a year and a half) so when this nurse came in she did everything in her power to try to make my daughter smile. She was extremely friendly and really made our first urgent care visit a good one. Thank you Kathleen for taking such good care of my daughter!

I enjoyed the birth center rather than hospital feel of the Cayuga birthplace. I had some favorite nurses and some that I wouldve liked to slap. For the most part, they left me alone and were helpful. They werent very giving with anything though...i requested some extra products when I ran out and received an attitude. The part that really rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that we were not allowed to take a receiving blanket home with our newborn daughter. What hospital doesnt let you take a receiving blanket?!?! I have a friend who delivered here and requested a couple extra blankets and they were gladly given to her but I got yelled at for wanting just one. I think next time we will go with Guthrie...

Horrible experience. I watched them yell at a man who couldn’t stand or talk, because he was in so much pain, and the security did nothing. I have been waiting for hours with my issue and they have done nothing. Don’t come to Cayuga medical center.

Incompetent medical professionals to say the least, you have better luck watching a youtube video on how to perform your own treatment. Ive been there multiple times for friends, family and myself. Each time I left woefully disappointed in the care and concern the patients are given (in this case -not- given). If you have anything more than a paper-cut, seek treatment elsewhere.

My mom came to ER room with strong heaps pain,could hardly walk,,after a few hours they took her to do x-rays of her heaps,shes got a pain shot and pain medicine and 4 hours later left home .She need to see the orthopedics doctor they ve told here. WEEK LATER she call to get her disk x-rays for orthopedics and lady on the phone has told her that they didnt do her x-rays just a pelvis x -rays!...what about heaps???

I am happy to be cured and dismissed on the same day, but when I was dying I thought I might die in the hallway or on the scanner machine.

Awful. Very slow, rude staff.
