Receptionist and nurse were very friendly which is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. Equipment and testing tools appeared to be very outdated and limited in comparison to other eye clinics. Dr. Phan spoke over me often and frequently tried to finish my sentences (all incorrectly). I was only given an exam with my glasses on and Dr. Phan used such a bright light it was painful and I couldnt keep my eyes open. I was then told I was probably not a candidate for removal of my congenital cataracts even after telling me people only go blind from cataracts if they are not removed! She did not listen to my reason for wanting cataracts removed or my family history of relatives going blind, and assumed I wanted perfect vision which I am fully aware is not possible. I had told her I just didnt want to wear glasses all the time. She also only recommended the basic lens replacement because she advised toric lenses are only if you have astigmatism (which I do) and it can have a glare at night. Had she done proper tests she would have known I have almost complete night blindness due to my cataracts so a possible glare is better than almost blind. Dr. Phan used lots of fancy terms that any normal person would have no idea what they were which only added to my frustration as I had to continually ask her what she was talking about. I ended up walking out of my appointment because I was not being listened to as to what my intent and desired outcomes were and because I was never given an exam without glasses to determine my true vision issues uncorrected.

I had a great experience here. The receptionist was very careful with COVID precautions while also being compassionate and responsive. I did not have to wait at all before being called back. The tech/associate who got my background was professional and kind, and Dr. Phan was awesome: efficient and thorough but also explained things well and double-checked everything. I felt confident about the care I got and the plan going forward. They dont have the latest and greatest equipment, but as long as they know how to use the equipment they have (and they do!), the fancy stuff isnt necessary.
