Patient for years service has been ok but lately very very poor unprofessional service. My medical records were misplaced even though I had been a patient for over 10 years. I had to call 3 times over a week for a return call to get a prescription. Also my appointment was canceled the same day for no reason with little apology. I had taken the afternoon off. The only available appointment was 3 weeks later an earlier time. I stated that I could take this appointment but I might be a little late. I was told fine. The day of the appointment I called the office to say I was running late I was advised to come anyway. I arrive 13 minutes late and I was refused service. This appointment was to replace my other appointment that the office canceled with no reason or apology. The office made no effort to reschedule my cancelled appointment for a later time. Very unprofessional and apathetic staff.

Well let me first say that I usually don’t ever write negative reviews because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but what happened to me today pushed me to absolutely write a review I’m giving this place a one star for their absolute disrespect of club customers I had an appointment that I booked over three weeks ago I’m a super busy business owner and I planned this morning appointment out three weeks ago called them in the morning to confirm it on my way and it took me almost 30 minutes to get there and I get a call at 9o’clock on the dot by the nurse practitioner who is supposed to see me and she tells me that she had a family emergency and couldn’t see me and I said OK so I get that I come to find out she lied to me and told me that when in fact she was just running late.This nurse practitioner was also very rude on the phone and told me that I had to figure out how to rebook it and that she wasn’t gonna be there till 930 and of course treat all the other clients and I said I’m a new client just took time out of my day why can’t you fit me in as somebody would normally do if you’re running late and she hung up the phone on meI’m not an unreasonable person and I understand things happen but it was the way that she treated me as a new client that was so disrespectful of my time and my intelligence I own a medical spa for over 10 years and I understand what it’s like with customer service and clients and sometimes you run late you be honest with the client you don’t let them sit there and lie like a kindergarten kid to a client so I’m actually going to send them a bill for my time which is valued about $350 an hour and I am going to send them a bill for my time and hopefully they’ll pay !!

Scheduled a consultation for dermatology- and was booked 2.5weeks out. I had my MIL come stay with us so I would have childcare for the appointment. I received 6 versions of confirmations (reiterating COVID guidelines, confirming appointment, etc) up to the evening prior. Then, 2 hours before my appointment they call to cancel. Thanks for nothing. I’ll go somewhere more focused on patient relations and professionalism.

This was my first visit. While in waiting room, I chatted briefly with another patient who had driven all the way from Maple Valley for treatment. She related that she had been given excellent care and treatment for surgeries in the past. Her loyalty was confirmed by my experience that day by both procedures and good communication.

Dr. Victor Michalak and staff were professional and courteous. They were easy going and pleasant. The surgery staff put me at ease the minute I walked they the door and Dr. Michalak was personable and easy to talk to. I didn’t feel a thing during the surgery and felt at ease.Thank you!!!!

This place is probably the worst doctors office of any kind I have ever been to. I have a skin cancer on my arm that has grown back for many years ago and Deborah Gautier did not want to do a biopsy on it and insisted that it was fine. We did the biopsy and of course it is malignant. That was bad enough, now Im waiting and waiting for the pathology report to get to my doctor so I can have the surgery but all they send are dermatological notes notes. If I were you guys I would avoid this place like the plague as they say!

Save your money. Had a consult for a small sub-surface growth. I was on time, dr wasnt. Quote provided for a $5,000 procedure using fractional laser...the quote description had no details, just $5k for laser. Went to ProClub in Bellevue, same treatment cost $180---------Update to responseWith all due respect, your quote went straight in the garbage so whether it was $5k or $3,999 is somewhat irrelevant. The point is you quoted a service that was so massively overpriced and unnecessary. The ProClub was able to achieve the necessary outcome for $180 which is only marginally ($50) more than the consultation fee ($135) you charged.

I have seen Elizabeth for a number of years. I appreciate her thoroughness and expertise.I do wish that Dr Michalak would turn up the heat a notch or two. I was wrapped in my sweater as I awaited Elizabeth in my paper medical garments.Paul Harvey

CoViD precautions were excellent, staff was professional and the Doctor was thorough and informative. Couldnt ask for more. I highly recommend.

I have been coming here for many years and recently have become very let down by the lack of follow-thru and professionalism, mainly via Debbie Guathier. Examples include weeks of un-returned calls/messages left for Debbie after getting blood testing so when I do finally get a response and am told I must schedule an appointment, my results are not at all current. Most recently, she told me she was going to get some advice from the infamous Dr. Michalak and I never heard back from her. I did get a call from my pharmacy a week later letting me know I had a prescription filled so I guess she decided to up my dose after talking with the Dr? I guess I expected Debbie to get back to me with a plan of action, like she had promised. When I called to ask to inquire about the increased dosage and explained the situation to the assistant, she told me thats not what Debbie said. Apparently Debbie needs to take better notes. I had asked her during my appointment about upping my dose based on my test results and she told me she had never had someone on that high of a dose before and she wanted to consult with Dr. Michalak. Hopefully the Dr. or office Manager can get some visibility into why long-time customers like myself wont be back. This is not the kind of service that I have experienced here in the past and your customers deserve better, especially when it comes to their physical appearance and health.

I’ve seen a few providers at Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology and all of them have been helpful. The front office and medical assistants have been pleasant as well.

Elizabeth is a personable and caring nurse.She’s the best!

Received a past due notice today. called my insurance company, the bill was never submitted to my insurance. Called the office, went to voice mail, no return call. Sent an email with the bill info, no acknowledged return email. Im appalled at this sloppy operation.

Horrible experience, worst place I have ever been.

The office staff and nurse I first dealt with were so sweet and incredible.But my experience with Debra gouthier left me crying. I actually ran out of the office sobbing mid appointment. I never leave bad reviews as it’s not my nature. But I was so embarrassed I felt I had toI came in for something I found quite embarrassing but also asked to BRIEFLY speak about my acne as I wanted ADVICE. she comes into the room and asks what brought me in. I told her what it is and she promptly said “oh I don’t have time for that”... after being 30 mins late to my appointment. She then spends the rest of my appointment talking about my acne and prescribing me meds. I politely tell her I don’t want medication and she retorted “well then why are you even here?”I didn’t know what to say anymore so I just let her continue. Once she left, after prescribing meds I didn’t want and what basically felt like a giant money grab, completely ignoring my main concern, which is causing me a great deal of pain.Bless the other staff for how sweet they are but Debra truly embarrassed me and made me feel like I was a bother. Waiting for a call back to see if they are charging me for this LOL...family have been patients for 20+ years. Very disappointed

This receptionist should be immediately fired. I called as a new patient and possibly do a Lipo/other cosmetic procedure. I called becaus it is within 4 miles from my home I requested they check with my insurance United Healthcare knowing some cosmetic surgery won’t be covered anyways.The person on the phone was so rude and told me I need to call and she cannot do 100 calls.If I call the insurance I can get bunch of provider numbers anyways. What an idiot admin that is sitting there and costing the doctor losing business and making patients unhappy!

I am pretty confident this is by far the best Doctors office and staff ever. The commitment to professional care and the ability of the staff to produce the best outcome in any skin care situation is outstanding. I can tell you from 20 years of experience as a patient, Dr. MITCHALAK and staff should be showing other Dermatologist how it’s done. Thank you to this office for the truly caring.

Attempting to close out a claim from March 2018. The invoice is still open and a bill keeps being mailed to me. They failed to submit to the appropriate insurer and now they’re seeking 100% of the bill. DO NOT GO HERE if you want your coverage billed correctly let alone receive quality of care. The bill was from removal of a “skin tag” on a 6 year old. No 6 year old has skin tags. Turned out to be molluscum, the obvious diagnosis. Please call me to resolve this bill!

Prompt attention and care of a spot that I was concerned about. The nurse practitioner biopsied it immediately, cared for the wound, and had me on my way in less than 20 minutes! One of the more efficient and effective doctor visits of recent years.

We love our dermatologist Emily. She is so patient, kind and knowledgeable. She is great with kids and adults.

They have taken excellent care of me and my recurring skin cancer for many years. Absolutely cannot imagine going elsewhere for treatment. Went to many other places first, had many lesions frozen off just to grow back. Here, they biopsied and found out why the lesions returned—squamous cell carcinoma.

Gave me acne! Made my acne worse and harder to get rid of. I don’t recommend this place, The dermatologists have little care and just prescribe whatever without really learning about your skin or your needs.

They were wonderful when I had my skin cancer. They walked me through all the difficult parts of dealing with the surgery and recovery. So when I had issues with my face swelling and breaking out, I went back to them. Excellent help and knew what to do. Im very happy with my results.

I’m NOT trying to be dramatic, but Emily and her staff have seriously changed me life! My new medicine, for a severe life long skin problem that impacted how I lived, was a game changer. I want to cry when I think of the years I spent suffering before I found Emily. I have gone to many doctors before her and had just about given up when I met her. Their entire staff is professional and they truly care for patient. Highly recommend for sure!!

I’ve been going to Dr. Michalak’s office for 10-15 years and I can’t speak highly enough him and every member of his staff.They are always professional, friendly and completely competent.

This was not my first visit to see Dr Michalak and his team of professionals but my visit was very well organized and the care I received was second to none. To say the least I am a big fan. Dr Michalak is an excellent surgeon. I will not go anywhere else. Deborah has caught multiple cancerous skin lesions that were missed elsewhere. Great job!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Michalak for 28 years (yep, 28) and have had dermatology work, minor surgeries, and some cosmetic laser stuff done. He is very thorough, especially when explaining the diagnosis and treatments. Appointments are easy to get and they generally run right on time. I couldnt be happier with them.

Had 4 LDT facial treatments by Dr. Michalak. I was extremely happy with the results. The staff were always pleasant and I will be coming back. Just wish they were open a little later so I can make appointments after work. Worth it though.

My whole experience there was not good. I felt like they pressured me to have surgery that ended up leaving a huge scar for a tiny mole removal and then the billing department was extremely aggressive with getting paid. They need updated technology to match the high prices they are charging to carve out high risk sections of your skin.

I have nothing but good things to say about Emily my PA. She is very thrall in all aspects of my treatments. I drive 84 miles to see her. Wouldn’t change Dr’s for anything.

On my annual exam for recurring skin moles, Stacey, PA-C, disovered a suspicious mole. The subsequent biopsy indicated the mole was cancerous and required a further procedure to remove the mole and surrounding tissue to eradicate the cancer. Dr. Michalak performed the surgery in his Issquah outpatient surgery suite and the resulting pathology report was negative for any remaining cancer. Thanks to Stacey and Dr. Michalak, the cancer was identified at an early stage, thereby avoiding more serious issues later. I have been a patient of Dr. Michalak for several years and have had other procedures, all of which, like this most recent one, were performed successfully and professionally. Dr. Michalak and his staff are efficient and caring and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking cosmetic surgery or dermatological care.

Friendly and professional. I had a cancerous spot taken off my leg a few years back and even with 21 stitches they’re is barely a scar. I get my annual freckle and mole check there as well.

Not a good experience at all.
