I initially started going to Alpine Acupuncture during my fertility journey (which was successful!). Along the way I found that Carleton was able to help me better manage my sleep issues and occasional anxiety. I would and do recommend this practice to anyone looking for Acupuncture or looking to manage a variety of ailments or concerns. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results and the trust I’ve found in this practice!

I went to see Carleton for acupuncture to help with regular migraines I was having. He was really great at taking the time to explain everything thoroughly to me and the treatment really seemed to make a difference despite only going a few times. Unfortunately we moved too far away to keep coming here, however I would absolutely recommend Alpine Acupuncture to anyone thinking about going.

Dr. M is amazing. Acupuncture is practitioner-dependent and he delivers. He treated me for a Serious soft tissue injury and I had a speedy recovery. He has a true gift for understanding what one’s body needs. Nothing short of an incredible healing journey. He is quite personable and takes the time and energy to get to know each patient. His office runs like a Swiss train— very punctual, no waiting around or delays. And his appointments are 60 minutes— true healing can take place. I recommend Alpine Acupuncture without hesitation.

Carleton is Great. I found that he really listened to my concerns and explained in detail his recommendations. I had a real fear of Accupuncture and he calmed my fears. I had both Accupunture and dry needle which his procedure woke up the muscle and really made a difference.

I suggest dont even bother coming to this place. I simply politely called, and asked if they do dry needling. The acupuncturist was very polite and sent me a VM back advising he does a combination of both dry needling and acupuncture because based on his expertise he found it more effective. I called the front desk asking if i may talk to him asking him some questions, she said he had a full schedule so he cant call me back at all (which is okay, but im sure he could find the time some other day to call me back and inform me). I then asked maybe you can answer my question instead. She rudely replied (im unclear, hes been working for 13 years and laughed). I didnt even bother to continue the conversation.I work in healthcare, heads up front desk. Its normal for people to ask questions about the care and its your job to answer them. As a new patient potentially seeking an appt to tell me the only way to answer the question is to come in for an appt baffles me. Before someone pays to get a treatment, they have questions. Its the offices job to inform the patient. Dont even bother coming to a place like this. Youre definitely not a priority as a new patient coming in.

I had been suffering from lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow, from snowmobiling) for nearly a year when I started seeing Carlton. It was somewhat improved from work with a physical therapist and at home exercises/treatment but it was not getting any better and still very painful and limiting. I saw Carlton 10 times after which there was SIGNIFICANT improvement in the condition. Since then it has continued to heal and become less and less painful. Four months since my first appointment with Carlton I am nearly pain free and have full use of the arm again.I definitely attribute this to Carltons experience and skill as I witnessed first hand his ability to place needles in such a way as to block the pain entirely during treatment. Overall I found treatments to be very relaxing and comfortable. Their exam rooms have heated tables, music playing and ambient lighting. Carlton and Katja are wonderful people and run a great business. I had zero.zero issues during my time there and always had an easy time with scheduling and payments.

Alpine Acupuncture is amazing! I first went to see Carleton a couple of years ago because I was dealing with tendinitis in my elbow. After seeing a doctor and was told that the only thing that would help was a cortisone shot! I decided to seek another way to help my aching elbow. I decided to give acupuncture a try. Carleton was super knowledgable and explained the process and how it was going to work. After a couple of visits I was brand new, and my elbow has never felt better. I was back to my old bad golf swing again!! Unfortunately Carleton couldnt fix that part, but a good golf swing has been a work in progress for years! I still see Carleton for my autoimmune condition and hes a miracle worker, besides Ive never slept so good in a place thats not my own bed! I would reccomend Alpine Acupuncture to anyone in need of relief from pain and discomfort of many different things. I also think Acupuncture is great even if you use need to get centered!

I was at my wits end trying to heal my hands, wrists and shoulders. Id been tested for everything under the sun and started a journey of treating Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I also have mild but seriously annoying Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Ive always been athletic but this neuromuscular problem had kept me from many physical activities and my desk work for approaching 2 years. I practice yoga, and I couldnt do simple poses on my hands. Ive been going for 6 weeks and am now gaining strength and experiencing less tingling in my hands when I work. I even did my first arm balance in yoga for the first time in 2 years in the last week! I also use my time in acupuncture to meditate which is so good for the mind~body. So thankful for Carleton and Katja Magus - they are a compassionate husband and wife team. If you wonder if acupuncture will help you, give them a call. I highly recommend them.

I went to Alpine acupuncture with hip pain and Carleton Magus was able to significantly reduce the pain during the time frame when I had treatments. The problem that I had was with billing. At my first appointment I asked Mr. Magus what the non-insured rate was and told him that my insurance company said that they would not cover his services. I told him that without insurance coverage that I would only do treatments once a week or twice a month, depending on the cost. He looked at my insurance card and because he is in the network that my insurance company uses to locate doctors, he insisted that he would be covered. I told him that I didnt think that was right and he insisted that due to slow system updates or the name that his business was listed under that my insurance company mistakenly informed me that he was not covered. 13 appointments later I received a denial of the claims from my insurance company. I contacted Dr. Magus and he offered no apologies, and took no responsibility for misinforming me. He told me that he would do me a favor and bill at the at the cash rate. I was very disappointed and I hope that no one else gets stuck with a huge bill that they werent expecting. Chris Knight

Ive been going to Carlton for the past two years. He is magic! He didnt promise he could help my back but sure enough, the shooting pains have disappeared. When I have a stuck back muscle, I run in and all symptoms disappear immediately. Ive used him pre- and post-surgeries to keep the energy flowing. Hes always super flexible and tries to squeeze his patients in if the day is full.

Over the past 5 years I have suffered thru almost completely debilitating allergies. To the point that I have almost needed to check myself into an ER.Last season I went thru a series of acupuncture treatments. (which by the way totally do NOT hurt) And now I am nearly allergy free. Only on super high pollen days do I get some sniffles.Like Carleton says; hes good for pain, allergies ,and hormones. If you need help in one of these areas call my this guy, you will be surprised at what a little eastern medicine can do for you.
