This dental office is the absolute worst. They called me last minute to reschedule my last two appointments saying there was an emergency with the dentist, but there are no available appointments for the next 3 months! When I finally got in the door, I get there and their system is down and they tell me I need to reschedule AGAIN! Appearantly the dentists hands no longer work when the computers go down. The only reason I planned on going back is because a crown they put in for me broke 3 days after it was put on and they need to fix it. When I called to tell them this, they said they would call me back, but noone ever did.The waiting area is always packed with a super long wait time and they have become extremely unreliable. This is honestly like no other medical office, dentist or other, that I have been to. Im very disappointed with the service at Dental Health Associates in Irvington accross from the bis terminal and am looking for a new dentist.

Where do I start? Ortho? Dr. Sieger is the WORSE ! filed a grievance with the insurance company and working on a suit!He is the worse!!! Very bad job with braces, yells at patients, and rude! The dental hygienist, shaves your teeth and creates cavities.Dr. Brown needs to hang up his coat ! The man is like 90 and can barely see !!!They love to create cavities, and put you in more pain.STAY AWAY AND REPORT EVERYTHING TO BBB AND INSURANCE!Edit: took my daughter to my orthodontist in West Orange instead, the job done by Dr Sieger was so bad that they offered to remove her braces for free! Shes now had a painless experience with her braces since May. No broken brackets, no broken wires, no cut cheeks or gums.If your child needs braces take them to my orthodontist in West Orange. Please do not go here !!!!

Dental Health Associates where should I start lord have mercy. My daughter went in on Friday May 7,2021 to have a tooth put in. She called me to say her mouth is hurting so bad clearly the job was not done properly. Monday May10th 2021 I immediately call because it’s an emergency only to be told her Dentist was not today, but she’ll be back on Thursday so I have to wait until then are you kidding me. At this point I am waiting to speak to a supervisor which never came to the phone. The receptions who answers the phone is very much unprofessional had no clue barley speak or could understand English I will never take my Daughter back there. This place has gone down to the dogs I wouldn’t advice anyone to continue taking there kids to Dental Health Associates. I made sure to tell them if anything happens to my daughter I will file a lawsuit for malpractice. My daughter is on her way to the hospital right now you all are disgusting and very unprofessional. I underwent a root canal procedure at my local dentist office. It was successful, but things went south once I went for my follow up appointment. I was supposed to be there for a crown, but the dentist was extremely dismissive and got frustrated because she couldnt fit a device in my mouth due to upper wisdom teeth. She quickly suggested that I get my wisdom teeth pulled (which I believe was a money-grab. Why would I undergo such a painful, invasive, major surgery for something that doesnt directly impact the position of my other teeth???) After the wait, x rays, and numbing, I was sent home. Recently Ive been feeling an uncomfortable tingling sensation in this tooth and I think it has to do with not having a crown. I have had another RC years ago and was crowned and had no issue.

Dr Brown is the worst dentist. Whenever I saw him in the past he would just clean my teeth. I have a tooth that never really came through fully and remains in my gums. Never has he tried to remove it. Also due to me brushing my gums too hard they started to recede. He never once said to stop brushing them. It takes years for your gums to recede. Now I have receding gums and he has never said anything about treating it. Save yourself and go to another dentist if you want to keep your teeth well maintained. I was seen and wasnt told I had anything wrong with my teeth. I came back a week later and another dentist came rushing in saying he was told I had periodontal disease and asked if I was brushing everyday... I mean Ive never experienced this in my life. And takes you out for one error in your application and have you go out of room to correct that one item (on male and female). Am glad to see the real character of this doctor talking down to his staff when he pointed the error. Very impersonal approach of this doctor, horrible professionalism and character. Prior to today 05/30/17, I was tolerant of the service because the office was in walking distance of my home and Dr. Johnson was pretty nice and was always smiling. After he did a cap for a tooth about a year ago, there was a space between the gum and the cap. Food got embedded there and the floss sometimes got stuck there. I told Dr. Johnson at least 3 times that there was a space between the crown and my gum. He tried to convince me that there was no space (I guess because he didnt want to furnish a new crown). Finally, 3 weeks ago, I was flossing and the crown came off. I called Dental Health Associates and asked for an appointment after 3.00 pm or on a Saturday because of my work commitment, but I was told, that particular service had to be done by 2.30 pm on a weekday. I asked the receptionist to ask Dr. Johnson to give me a call (I felt if he knew why I was asking for a later appointment he would try to accommodate me,) however, I never got a call from him. I had no choice and took a day off from work 5/30/17 after I was given a 2.30 pm appointment. I arrived 2.28 pm and after about 15 mins I was called to do a X-Ray. I refused since I had one done in February and didnt see the need for the additional expense. This office is always looking for a way to pad their fees and this was especially so in this case because they had to replace the crown at their cost. I waited for 45 mins without being seen by the dentist. I spoke with the Office Manager who apparently spoke with D. Johnson who said my appointment was at 4.30 pm and I wouldnt be seen until then. I nearly lost it and told her I wasnt an imbecile and that I had been told 2.30 pm. She looked through the notes and verified that I was indeed asked to come in at 2.30 pm. I guess to shut me up avoid a scene, they did a PR move and put me in a room and left me therefor another half hour. I got up to walk out and met the Office Manager on my way out who said something to the Assistant. The Assistant said she was just cleaning the chair in another office for me. So, like a fool, I returned to that office, where I waited for another 25 minutes. I was told the dentist was still working on another patient and it would be another 30 mins or so. I left at that time. I spent almost 2 hours at their office without being treated. I believe I was treated with utter disrespect because they had gotten paid already for the crown and their was nothing to be gained from fixing my crown. This is why Dr.Johnson refused to acknowledge that their was a problem when I told him right after he made that crown.

Quote from the X-ray technicians while waiting on a decision from the doctor “You’re holding up the line, we have to fill this seat we have a business to run.”Quote from the doctor, while wondering why the front desk misled me “The front desk doesn’t know anything about clinical work which is why they told you we could do that.”This is an awful establishment with absolutely no accountability. They’re as rude as they were to me to each other. How can you trust someone to work on your teeth when you can’t even trust them to tell you the truth or when they’re shuffling you around after having you wait for 1 hour to even be called in for an x-Ray.The manners of the doctor were even worse. I heard Dr. Martin tell another patient “I’m the doctor right”. Very disrespectful. Doesn’t deserve to treat people if he doesn’t care.I wish I could give zero stars.

I am shockingly appalled at the treatment Ive received by Dr. Brown at 2 Washington Avenue in Irvington. Ive been going to this location since I was a teenager (approximately 30 years ago) and began bringing my children once I started a family of my own. My dentist WAS Dr. Brown whom was the best dentist ever, hands down, but over time he has changed drastically in mannerism and professionalism. Everytime I get work done I have to come back within days because either the filling fell out, crown came off, or repair has broken. Not only do I have to suffer through the embarrassment of his mistakes (because the problems are very noticeable) but then they recharge my insurance to redo the repairs for the poor work done which is supposed to be under warranty. I am now left with 2 astronomical bills that are not only false because the insurance paid for them already but they have also been submitting my copay fee to my insurance although Ive paid my copay before I was ever seen which is fraud. Anyone who knows Dental Health Associates, 2 Washington Avenue in Irvington, know you will not be seen unless your insurance is previously verified and any copayment due is paid before service!.. Especially if you already have a balance due. On September 19th 2017 I had a root canal and crown done on my front tooth but had to come right back 2 times in September, mere days after the work was originally done, 1 time in October 2017, and now on November 7th 2017 because the crown kept coming off initially and eventually broke after eating an egg salad sandwich on plain white bread ( the food cant get any softer than that). When I came in for the emergency appointment the billing manager was at the front desk and stated Dont tell me it came out again! I shook my head in dismay and said, NOI this time it broke. The sad thing about it was she wasnt even surprised because Dr. Brown has been getting so many complaints about his work lately. After she went in the back to inform him that I was here to see him he first agreed to see me but then called her in the back and told her that he will not see me until my total balance is paid off. How dare him! First of all my work is still under warranty. Mind you I just had it done the latter part of September and it is now only the beginning of November, my 4th trip for problems with the same tooth in less than 2 months. Secondly my insurance paid for this job already so what does my entire bill have to do with me having this shoddy work repaired yet again. They supposedly are investigating the charges so why would I pay for charges that are under investigation at this time? Dr. Brown has become rude, unaccomplished, slacking in his workmanship, fraudulent, and unprofessional but this location knows it yet instead of doing the right thing by addressing the issues they protect him, remain quiet and do nothing for us patients regarding matters such as this. After unsuccessfully speaking with the rude office manager, Sonia Rosario, I contacted their corporate office in Phillipsburg, NJ this evening and am awaiting a call back. Please steer clear of this location and Dr. Brown for your sake and/or your childs.

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didnt feel welcomed there. My 4 year old son was extremely fearful with getting x-rays and he kept crying, the tech treated him so mean. She kept telling me this has never happened with a child. . . insinuating that something was wrong with my baby. Yeah right!! . . .So, unable to take the x-rays, she handed my son off to another male tech, and he was a little better, but my sons gag reflex kept him gagging with the x-rays. They were so impatient and gave up but the doctor still had to perform work and ended up using the dental papoose as standard procedure and it worked. I was later advised to never let a doctor papoose your child. Its not a good practice and creates unnecessary anxiety and stress. He was very good and patient but there are easier way to take full x-rays and performing procedures without papoosing a child. FYI - beware . . . two children also died while under local anesthesia by Dr. Patrick Bamgboye. (google it) Dr. Lisman is rarely there to oversee his offices. I wasnt happy. BUT!!!!!! Theyre billing is on point. They itemize and break down everything. As my sister was trying to reschedule another appointment with another receptionist and the receptionist couldnt barely hear her because her co-workers were so loud and to top it off there were children in the waitng room!!! I guess the reason they call it Childrens Dental Health Associates is because thats exactly how some of the thier staff behaves. They all definitely need a class in professionalism.
