THEY DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!!! I showed 2 stylist the exact hair style I wanted (simple box braids in a ponytail), and the stylist totally disregarded my request and started doing what they wanted, while talking on their phones the majority of the time. Since they botched of the first hair style, I gave them another style to do; which was easier than the first style (medium cornrows); the stylist messed that up too, and to make matters worst, they ridiculed & stared at me the whole time in there language, which made me uncomfortable. I stopped the stylist midway through the “MESS” she was making, & walked out without paying them a dime! Following instructions and GOOD customer service goes a long way in any type of business; unfortunately, these people lack both! If you are looking for quality work & good customer service, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO!!!!!👎

My braids always looks and flawless when these girls do my hair. But man, some of them make me cry with how tight it is, even when you ask they to make it loose (eg small box braids). Larger cornrows, knotless braid I give then 10/10 for style and tension.

I was looking for a last minute shop before my vacation and received a recommendation from a family member. Call late in the afternoon and was able to come in at 5pm. Although I had a wait on my hands, I walked out very pleased. I’m also getting lots of compliments. Thanks

She did a great job on my hair. I ended up getting sew-in extensions with tribal braids in the front. I was given so many compliments! And yes my hair was braided very tight.

I wouldve gave a 5 star if the lady wouldnt have braided my hair tight like I requested multiple times. She did a great job but the braids are extremely too tight as to where I cant even turn my head, i am in pain. I repeatedly told her not too tight. They need to work on better customer service as well.

Never again in my life !!! I wish I didnt even have to give it one star. I wasnt going to comment at all until one of my braids came out along with my hair! This place is the definition of a hair salon that doesnt take care of your hair, or care for their customers just the money. This was my first time going here and my last time going here, I made an appointment for 11am, they didnt start my hair until 12pm, I didnt leave the shop til 730pm. The lady that was doing my hair kept pulling my scalp, it hurt so bad I had to take 4 Tylenol that day. I went home and cried, I had to put my head under cold water and put ice in my head just to help the pain, the next day I started getting bumps in my head. I could feel my skin pulled, it hurt so bad when I touched my head and hair, that I just left it, I didnt want to move my head or any movement involving my head, I couldnt sleep for three days. And then finally, 5 days is when the pain become tolerable , I put my head down to put my hair in a ponytail just to tie it back and finally that braid that was holding on to my edges just come out along with my hair, and I have a bold spot in my head! Never again!!! I was trying to help my hair with braids and make it grow, instead these braids are literally pulling my hair out! I paid $140 and I took them out in 5 days because of pain and my hair breaking off! Dont not go here, go anywhere else, but here !! I was so mad I thought about suing, and getting a refund!! Never again!!!! Do not go here !! Terrible !!!

I been going to them for years & they always do my hair how I want it . Every where you go is not gone be on your time or how fast you want it done . Beauty take patience , I’ll recommend them but make sure yah day is cleared and you don’t have a appointment . Cause once again BEAUTY TAKE PATIENCE !

Went there on Wednesday September 12, 2018. Great customer service and she did a great job on my hair. Everyone has been complimenting me on my hair. I have given the 2 business cards that were given to me out already. Keep up the great work. I will be back.

I’ve been going to this shop for a while because I usually walk out satisfied. However, the last time I went the girl braided my hair so tight I couldn’t go anywhere for 4 days. It physically made me sick. I decided to go back but just wouldn’t let her touch my head. The complaint I have about this ship is their lack of professionalism. They talk more than they braid and you wait 2-3 hours before they even touch your hair. Their prices are also never consistent so you have no clue how much you are paying for the same style you got previously. Unfortunately, I will definitely be looking for another shop to give my business to.

THE BEST!! The first time I went there they finessed my lemonade braids, second time I went I left out of there speechless because I was shocked @ how perfect my hair came out!! Everyone I walked pasted complimented me. They take their time and Focus. I’d recommend this shop to anyone & EVERYONE. I love them.

I just wanna put this out there my experience at this braid shop Was horrible the last visit they took over 8 hours to braid my hair in Box braids Lyed said the hair she was using was 100%human but its not this hair is plastic!!! is not even synthetic I took a piece of the Hair and put a lighter to it and it melted now from my experience human hair dont melt.... And they also like to talk about you in the language my daughter compliment my hair by saying it looks like beyonce braids and they was laughing and making ugly jokes about me my feelings was hurt nobody should have to experience that and I was over changed I paid $520 for me and my 2 daughters Although they do great braid styles the service sucks my last time going🤬 need a new shop

After searching for a good hair braiding shop, I found one! Ive been going to Mimi in east orange for over 15years they services went for 5 stars to 0. I just got my twist done and I love them Ill be back soon. Thats Mamie for the great experience!

Their customer service is HORRIBLE. They will have you sitting there for hours if you aren’t a regular. I walked into the shop after callin on the phone and arranging a price for what I wanted. When I got there I was told to sit down and wait. My son and I waited for 2 hours so I changed my mind on what I wanted. When I finally sat in the chair and told her what I wanted she got an attitude which made me ask am I not allowed to do that? She then told me the other hairstyle was 160 I asked her to give me my original hairstyle and she told me it would be 160. I then told her that’s not what was said on the phone she told me I didn’t speak to her so I got angry and stormed out then a lady came out to talk to me but at this point I am fed up and would never go there again.. if you are new to the shop DO NOT GO because u will be pushed to the back of the line and u will see people come in after u and leave before you even start

I specifically told then to start the cornrows with my own hair. The front was perfect. However, when I got home and took a mirror to the back of my hair it was not started with my own hair. I had to get on a flight in 3 hours and had no time to return to them. By day number 3 of having these cornrows in I was mortified at how much of my hair edge had pulled out. if I wasnt out of the country for work I would have taken them out and requested a refund.

I have the cornrows into a Mohawk with single twist. It didnt take that long and there small just how I wanted them. I will be back soon for this hair style again or some box braids. Go on a week day early and theres no wait. SOMETIMES

They were quick but my style started falling out as soon as I got home... not cool, especially for the price. Ended up taking it out after a couple weeks because pieces werent put in correctly for straight hair crochet style.

Because their understanding of the English language is poor they didnt do exactly as I wished for example I said dont cut massage. I want to change the beads just tie a knot what did she do she burnt them which technically is cutting them she cut off at least 2 inches when I told them I wanted the first pre braids in the middle to be a triangle the two ends curved braids I get straight braids I also think the price was a little steep $80 20 corn rolls also told him I wanted what size braids and he still gave me all the same size also the constant talking in their language over my head conversation but constantly just like they have client etiquette they have braider etiquette

Ask for the hair stylist they are very talented and do great work. As for the owner of the shop she has a very nasty and rude attitude.

Ive been coming to this braiding shop since i was 10 years old and im n college now. This place is the only shop i come to get my hair braided. Prices are fair. My braids always look neat. Braids r tight but will eventually loosen up and my braids last.

I got my hair braided there about a month ago, these are by at the best braids I have ever had! I get so many compliments on my hair!!!!!! Granted they were super tight, but they lossesned up. And not one briad came out!

I put a ton of oil and glycerin in my hair .. Every one knows glycerin and heat does not mix my hair could of fail out.. For the sake of peace i walked out..Would i come back again ..Yes i would.

VERY DISSATISFIED,I called first, came in and waited for 4 hrs,I was next but a little girl went before me,been that shes little I allowed and her mom was hesitant.I stated that I dont want a full head,it was so full upon leaving,my daughter was there 5 year old so I didnt want to stay extra,I ask for the beeds ,they were not placed,when I got home I realized how much i cant do this,summer,pregnant,school and this full head.I called to see if I can get my front cornrowed and leave the back,she said call back tomorrow she had to pray,think she got agrevated,imagine how I feel,I cryed,Ill go do the front somewhere else but I feel like my money was priority to them,paid $130,NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!
