I had a great experience and feel that the staff was very professional. I came in for concerns and pain, and the doctors went right to work without guessing. I would highly recommend Dr. Chapa and his staff of other doctors. This family practice is ran by a group of people who know what they are doing and are no different from any other major medical practice but without the cost.

If there was lower rating than 1, I would have given that.I had to cancel my appointment because of covid exposure and they charge me with late cancellation fee. I had been a patient with them since a year and had to cancel my appointments before as well. But this charge was never implemented. Suddenly this late fee for cancellation for genuine reason is unacceptable.Over here the doctors are good but staff is unprofessional and rude. This is not the first time that faced some rudeness from the current staff.I would not go to them because of such attitude

I have been going here for a little over 2 months. They are super friendly. I went for back and knee issues. Dr. Miranda and Dr. Carlos are very knowledgeable in their field. My knee and back feel stronger. I have referred my wife to AIMC for some medical issues of hers. Great place to go!

I went to the irving clinic as a new patient, overall the doctors and the office building itself is nice. However I did have an issue with the administrative portion that prompted me to write this review.As a new patient, I tried to schedule two appointments with the same doctor as recommended but they arent really available at any time after 5 pm weekday so I decide to at least try to get one session. I discuss with the office person and thought I had an appointment scheduled for Saturday.Turns out I did not have any appointment and they are booked for the week (which I had to find out via me reaching out to them).They did not offer any kind of apology for the mix up and I felt it was a waste of time to bother going to this place if I cant even follow the acupuncturists recommendation because they are not even available to do so.

Out of nowhere I began experiencing intense nerve pain in my foot. My GP couldnt really figure out what was wrong. After little to no progress made with my GP, I reached out to Dr Chapa and his team. I just started week 3 of my treatment, and the pain has already lessened significantly. In fact, today I havent experienced any pain at all which is a miracle. After feeling quite hopeless in the beginning, AIMC truly helped me and I am forever grateful for their amazing team and treatment. I am excited to continue my treatment and am honestly just so relieved that I am beginning to feel better. No matter how weird or impossible your situation may seem, give this clinic a chance! They know what they are doing and they excel at it.

Horrible experience and even worse customer service! Was told by 2 different front desk people that the consult was $40 but if I decided to do treatment that fee would go towards treatment cost. During my consult with Dr. Chapa he was more interested in selling me an expensive treatment package than really listening to me. He basically said I would need to come 3-4 times per week initially which is absurd. Even at my worst in 2015 my acupuncturist who is an MD only treated me twice a week. My paperwork and my conversation with him detailed mold and heavy metal toxicity as well as multiple other conditions that I am being treated for. Knowing this, he put entirely way too many cups on me and left them on for a long time then proceeded to do acupuncture in those areas. Ive been doing acupuncture and cupping for 16 years and this was the most aggressive treatment I have ever had. Within a few hours of leaving I started experiencing severe detox symptoms including fever, headache, nausea and general flu like symptoms. Ive had mild detox symptom in the past and it goes away after a day. I had these symptoms for 3 days!!! The best part is I could not get ahold of him or anyone at the clinic to help me out or ask what the heck was happening to me. When I finally did I had to go through the most unorganized unprofessional twisted path to ask for a refund. Multiple phone calls and messages were left, emails were sent, spoke to office manager then director. They required me to sign a letter stating that they are releasing me as a patient and have no idea why. Then, they only refunded me the cost of the treatment not the consult fee as they said the consult fee is separate and does not go towards treatment. Even after I told them what the 2 office admins communicated to me and admitting they were wrong and were new employees they still refused after everything. It took 7 weeks to get a refund!!! Do yourself a favor and find one of the many and better acupuncturists in DFW that are more concerned about their patients well being than making a sale, have better admins and procedures and will make things right when they screw up!!!Response to owner: #1I never said your fees were not listed on your website nor the paperwork. I did say that your 2 front office admins said the consult fee would go towards treatment if I chose to do it! Also, the reason the consult lasted almost an hour is because YOU wanted to go through my entire jacked up medical history even though I said I have a team of doctors and therapists that are taking care of me. I only came to see you for acupuncture nothing else! #2 I’ve had acupuncture done previously by 3 medical doctors…MDs…..which you are not and none of them have or will ever recommend treatment 3-4x/week for me. It takes the body time after each session to continue processing the treatment. But you know everything b/c you are one of the busiest clinics in Texas! Not sure how one even quantifies that. #3 If you research potential side effects from cupping and even acupuncture you will finds loads of data and research on possibility of flu-like symptoms caused by the detoxing effects. But evidently not at your glorious clinic. I’ve had them before and every licensed acupuncturist and doctor told me that is normal. I never said it caused me to “catch” symptoms. Finally, #4 please read other reviews about his clinic where people called in and emailed and did not receive a call back the same day or even the same week!!!

This is my first time ever doing acupuncture. I had inflammation through out my body. I was hurting badly for few weeks being immovable and stiff. Getting up from bed or even holding a phone used to be very painful. Dr Chapa and his wonderful team did couple of acupuncture sessions and I am free from severe bone pain and stiffness. Thank you so much, Dr. Chapa and Dr. Elisha and all wonderful staffs🙏🙏.

First visit with Dr. Chapa and I am really impressed with how knowledgeable and eager he is to help me with natural remedies. I have been seeing Dr. Elisha for my acne and skin issues. She has cured my acne and my skin is very clear and bright. I enjoy visiting her office and I always feel very comfortable. I am a teenager who has had physical issues, and have had relief from my symptoms. For my treatment I have had acupuncture and cupping; also, I have taken pills and have had changes in my diet. The company has all-natural pills; they do not have processed drugs. The pills are made in-house. While I have no complaints about the company it is against my principles to give a five star rating.

I can not recommend this office enough. The energy alone of the environment and the people that work there is very magnetic. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. I could tell that I wasnt just a dollar sign to them...they really wanted to help and that I appreciate! I will return!

Awesome doctor and staff! I was really scared on my first visit as I am a needle-phobe. I was happy that the doctor was very reassuring, patient and eased my fears of needles. What really mattered was that it works!! Even though I am Asian (and the doctor is not), I had doubts as acupuncture was considered a holistic approach but hey, if it works, its the best approach! I am happy to say that even though I have been to several different doctors including an orthopedic surgeon and a chiropractor I had no relief. I also tried dry needling which is a simplified version of acupuncture and I think I actually felt worse. I am very very happy and highly recommend this wonderful clinic.

Last summer there was some kind of superbugs going around in my sons high school. And Wholistic remedies I had remembered and learned from my Grandmother & Great Great Grandmother and research was not enough. This place is God send!! I have been dealing with severe and continuous menstrual bleeding issues for a very long time. After having so many doctors visits, tests, and thousands of dollars spent, all the doctor could tell me was it was abnormal bleeding. They even suggested a hysterectomy without anything being wrong with my female organs and that was terrible. After a couple of days of herbs from Dr. Chapa my bleeding stopped! Amazing! This holistic medicine has become a part of my daily life now. They get to the root of issues and dont just treat symptoms.

I have not seen a medical doctor since being introduced to holistic healing through Chinese medicine 1.5 years ago. While under the care of medical doctors, I was constantly prescribed medications and was up to 5 prescriptions with continued declining health. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Chapa. I have suffered from daily chronic neck and back pain for close to 2 years now. I had a 3 level neck disc replacement in June 2017. 5 months post op, I was still have severe pain.I went from working out 5-6 days a week to down in the dirt. Couldnt do any kind of exercise at all. Ive done Physical Therapy, gone to the Chiropractor, done Medical Massage and amped up my core strength training. Ive also been back to my back doctor twice because even after the grueling surgery, I felt no relief whatsoever. Nothing relieved the pain. I am 5 visits into acupuncture treatment with Dr. Chapa and the results are unbelievable. That is why I am writing this review. Minimal neck pain and major improvement on my lower back pain. Not being an advocate of pain medicine, I had to resort to it just to get some relief. Its been close to a week now without any pain relief even over the counter. Acupuncture was my last resort. In hindsight, I wish it would have been my 1st. Dr. Chapa is nice, friendly and down to earth. He truly cares about the practice of this lifesaving integrative medicine and his passion carries over to his patients well being.

I had a bad muscle tear in my shoulder and my doctor prescribed me muscle relaxers and pain killers and wished me well for a recovery time of 4-6 months. I then went to Dr Carlos a week after due to the pain and with 2 week treatment I was back in the gym with No meds. Its incredible and have been recommending him to everyone I know ever since!

Cant recommend Dr. Chapa & Dr. Alicia Koe enough. I have suffered from chronic lower back pain for years. By the time I discovered this place, my mobility was so limited that I couldnt even wash my hands in a sink because leaning forward that tiny bit resulted in sharp, shooting pain in my lower back. Within minutes of Dr. Alicia inserting the needles, I was able to reach as far forward as I physically could without falling over - totally pain free.And I stayed that way for nine months before I had to come back again.Now Im leaving again, feeling great!In addition, theyre just amazingly personable and thorough.THANK YOU AIMC!! Ill be returning for other treatments ASAP including dry eyes and weight loss.

Dr. Chapa is an unprofessional provider. I was a potential new patient. I arrived 5 minutes early on 12/23/2014, to ensure all paperwork was signed for a 9 am appointment. At 9:20 I walked out, frustrated this practitioner had yet to even make an appearance at his own clinic. Who knows what time he finally decided to make it into work? The hypocrisy of a practitioner, who can’t make his own appointments. Yet, requires patients agree to be charged for their missed appointments. Patients have jobs and responsibilities. Their time is every bit as valuable as the inconsiderate Dr. Chapa. Taking patients for granted, is a poor business model, drives away customers, and reflects negatively on this practice.

I had the privilege of shadowing Dr. Chapa at AIMC for 2 days. As an AOM practitioner myself I am intimately familiar with quality traditional acupuncture treatment and the standards properly trained practitioners should meet. I am pleased to report that Dr Chapa meets and exceeds expectations in all aspects. The facility is clean, staff are friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner. I had a large kidney stone(8.5X4.6mm) lodged in my ureter and wound up in the ER of my local hospital.The Urologist recommended that I have invasive surgery, as the stone was too large to pass on its own. I scheduled the surgery, and, after I found out how much it would cost me, decided to investigate treatment alternatives. I sent a note to Dr. Chapa regarding my condition and he explained that they had a protocol for treating kidney stones that included a variety of herbs and minerals. I was skeptical, but went ahead and scheduled an office visit. After meeting with him and discussing the alternatives, I decided to move forward with the protocol he prescribed, and Im happy to report that 9 days later I passed this very large stone with very little pain. I highly recommend Dr. Chapa.

Dr Chapa had treated both myself and my 11 year old daughter. I was in constant knee pain for over 2 years. Going to visit after visit with little to no relief , I finally tried acupuncture and have been living pain free for the last year. A TRUE HEALER! I went to dr Chapa for digestive problems that I have had on more or less levels for 15 plus years. Originally I was there for cupping. Dr Chapa told me that honestly cupping is good and everything but it would not fix my problems directly like I also thought. He recommended however that I get on some herbs (ayurvedic i think but definitely Korean and Japanese stuff I have never tried) immediately. I was immediately filled with respect and trust with this quality of him, his integrity, and his work. I felt even more so when the herbs started to help me. I was surprised and shocked when I started feeling a little better from them especially since I have tried almost everything under the sun to get help from this... But dont get me wrong sometimes you must make big changes on your end as well (which I did diet, emotional, deep healing etc etc.). I recommend to stop throwing your money and health away on regular doctors and pills and put it towards fixing the root cause. I also highly recommend to try eating high alkaline foods and living that lifestyle. As well as juicing. Thank you Doctor Chapa for showing me hope!! Empower yourself! Go to Dr. Chapa!! p.s. He did iridology on my eyes which was mindblowing! NEVER GIVE UP!

I came to AIMC as a visiting extern practitioner about 2 weeks ago.This is what I have to say about AIMC:Dr. Chapa is very knowledgeable and well-read. He incorporates different detox modalities for patients that need it. For instance, I witnessed a man that had a limp and needed a cane, become virtually limp-free. Gua sha therapy for neck and shoulder pain, cupping for back and hip pain. Electro-acupuncture for muscle injury, and herbal therapy for everything else.Dr. Chapa also utilizes iridology to help gleen into a patients health to prevent any impending illness from manifesting.At the end of my externship, Dr. Chapa gave me an iridology reading. It is really fun to see my iris. My iris revealed that I had kidney issues. I can agree to this since I had chronic kidney infections when I was a child. My brother also has lupus, which generally affects the kidneys, and it was helpful to see that perhaps my kidneys needed strengthening.Dr. Chapa is very passionate about what he does. Elisha is a hard-worker and is also very knowledgeable in Western and Eastern Medicine. Irving is so lucky to have 2 caring capable practitioners that help people heal naturally.I am very grateful that I decided to visit AIMC for my doctoral externship. Four years ago I was taking multiple prescription meds daily for allergies. Since my treatments with Dr. Chapa, I no longer need any prescription meds. I now see him as part of my recovery therapy from rotator cuff surgery. Hes an amazing doctor with a great bedside manner. He pays attention and listens. Dr. Chapa is one of a kind; truly amazing. He takes the time to answer your questions and explains the diagnosis and treatment thoroughly.Dr. Chapa has been treating me for a month and so far the changes have been remarkable. The chronic stomach pain I endured for years along with gastritis have completely gone away. Also my allergies are now nonexistent!!!
