I really like Dr. Grossman. I feel like he truly cares about my health and me as a person. We discuss a care plan that we both agree on, which I appreciate because I like to be involved in my care, and not just have someone tell me what to do. His office staff is top notch. I have never seen medical office staff as awesome as his and it is one of the reasons I enjoy going there. They are extremely responsive and kind.

Dr. Gross an, as usual, was excellent. He never rushes through the visit. He takes all the time needed to address all questions and testing results. He is engaging and friendly, on top of his years of experience to make me feel valued and properly treated. His office staff also is friendly and helpful with all things required and requested.

Dr. Grossman is an excellent physician. His knowledge of Endocrinology and the drivers which affect various diseases is excellent. I have a scientific background by education and in the field of Clinical Trials for biotech companies and pharma companies. The information Dr. Grossman provides to his patients is in direct line with the research happening today.

Its difficult to express just how dissatisfied I am with this office. I was a patient 15 years ago, during which time I had a mediocre/passable experience as a patient, namely that I got the diagnosis and surgery that I needed. 15 years later, the problem has returned (which shouldnt have been medically possible) and I have reached out to the office on more than a dozen occasions over 2 months with either no reponse or inadequate response. I havent been able to secure my records (they say Im not in their system or database) for my new doctor and surgeon, now that I will need surgery a second time, for something that should have been fully resolved. The doctors bedside manner at the time of treatment was dismissive and minimizing at best and the offices response and lack of communication today is unacceptable.

Dr grossman has been a wonderful man to work with dealing with my diabetes 2. He is firm yet encouraging, I truly believe he wants me to succeed at managing my illness without insulin which is what I want. Sometimes I do well sometimes not but I am willing to be a cash pay client since my new insurance isnt in network with him. Thats saying a lot!!

Triple book appointment times per the receptionist, and take their patients based on booking order. The three times we have been there, we waited over an hour, and one time we had to cancel because of other time commitment. They even slid in a medical salesman in before taking us in an hour late. Look elsewere if possible

I have 25 years in the Bio Tech/Pharmaceutical industry, and I’ve been privileged to meet hundreds of Physicians & medical Investigators. To date I’ve never met a more intelligent & dedicated physician than Dr. Grossman, he is an original traditional physician. Not the kind of doctor you find in today’s clinical settings. Twenty three years ago my husband & I were introduced to Dr. Grossman in the Irvine Hospital ER. He was assigned to my husband’s 90 yr. old mother. During that emergency, I observed Dr. Grossman, I realized that he possesses the ability to make a correct diagnose by observing & focusing on symptoms, even before test results are available. From that day forward Dr. Grossman has been treating myself & my family members.Due to the fact that Dr. Grossman is able to remember & recall (patient) medical history he doesn’t have to spend a lot of time with needless chatter & “hand holding”. However don’t be disillusioned by his manner, he is direct & to the point. In matters of family deaths, emergencies, surgeries, cancer, including dementia Dr. Grossman’s level of compassion & dedication exceeds any physician I’ve encountered. No matter the time of day or night, Dr. Grossman has spent endless compassionate hours at the hospital bedside with every member of our family. He takes immediate action & NEVER refuses to take a medical call! More than ever, he’s the kind of doctor you’re lucky to have.

A total joke. Two years later Im billed for $6,989.27 in services for a food and environmental sensitivity test that this office confirmed with my insurance directly was COVERED but did not submit a pre-authorization. When the results came back, the Dr. did not even review them with me ~ when I showed up for my follow-up it was a surprise I was there and he was not prepared. Imagine the surprise after already paying a significant out of pocket fee for not using approved labs, the shock to learn that the tests performed were actually NOT approved by insurance. Scam artist, at best, with an incompetent front desk clerk who apparently validated the authorization of the tests without submitting the required paperwork. I could have gone to quest diagnostics and had the same tests completed for a $20 co-pay. This entire operation is what gives medical claims / insurance a terrible name. Two years later, imagine my surprise to get billed for what I always deemed sub-par service. Yes, I got a nice, fancy report but a Dr. who did nothing to actually action plan or review the results. Would I have paid this absurd dollar amount for these services in retrospect? Not a chance in the world.

Jules who is an RN for Dr Grossman was great, she called me today about an issue with my prescription, she researched it, had the Dr update it and made a return call to me several days before I expected or wondered if I would ever get a call. The doctor was good about authorizing or renewing a prescription from another doctor since I moved cross country recently. I think many Doctors would have required a second or third visit to drive their revenue. So, I am very happy at this point and decided to comment.

The doc is great. But his office staff is horrible. Over-booking, not ready for patients, do not have lab results ready for the doc... and now you cant pay the bill, because the they dont answer the phone, and you cant leave a message because the message box is full. Time for a new experience.

First, Dr Grossman is very knowledgeable and uses his experience wisely. However, his staff is not very supportive. You will get 5 calls to inform of you pending payments and upcoming appointment but you might need to call 30 times to keep reminding staff to send prescription to your pharmacy for a prespription which is urgent!!!! Staff needs help on basics!

Just horrible experience. When you find out you can possibly have thyroid cancer and have to go to a endocrinologist you at least want to ask one question so you understand whats going on. I went in waited 1.5 hours because his office is a disaster and he walked in and said ok lets have it removed.I was like wait am I positive on my biopsy? He said No! I was like wow thats amazing why do I need it out? He said because there is still a chance call me when your ready to have surgery and out he went. i was appauled at how he wouldnt even speak to me because he was to busy. I have so many questions so this felt so bad. I am going to another dr now who actually explains everything to me and NO surgery is not the only option. That was Dr grossmans option to make the most money. So Sad they allow people like this to practice.

I have been a patient of Dr Grossmans for over 10 years, ever since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Because diabetes is the most severe of my medical issues, Ive even made him my primary care physician. In my opinion, and based on my own research, Dr Grossman is one of the best diabetes specialists in Orange County. I agree that he can be a bit brisk in his delivery, but I can live with that as long as he is accurate in his diagnosis, which he has always been, and it reduces the wait time. Ive never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I have always found his office staff to be efficient and professional. When it comes to my health, Id take a knowledgeable and efficient physician any day over a windy and social one.

I had an awful experience at Dr Grossman’s office today!! Two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Grossman after giving the scheduler my insurance information. I waited two weeks for the appointment, took off work early, and drove 30 minutes to his office. After waiting for 15 minutes his office assistant came out and told me they were sorry but they made a mistake and they don’t take my insurance. I explained that I gave the scheduler my insurance information when she booked my appointment. Again they said they were sorry. I explained that if I had missed my appointment I would’ve been billed $25. And asked what were they willing to compensate me for taking off work two hours early, driving 30 minutes to the appointment and waiting 15 minutes in the office. They said they weren’t willing to compensate me anything and again they said they were sorry. One of the worst things about this experience is that I needed to see the doctor ASAP. I waited two weeks to see Dr. Grossman while not making an appointment with anybody else. Now I’m back to square one. Frustrating!

I thought I would post this again since some how my post from a year ago seem to mysteriously disappear! Possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Dr. Grossman is great. His staff HORRIBLE! My first experience was walking in for my appointment and finding out that they had lost all my previous medical history records that I had to pay $25 dollars for to have my prior doctor send over. Then I had to wait an HOUR past my appointment before seeing the doctor!Second, Dr had ordered lab work. They called to tell me that they were going to start me on a different medication. I had to ask what my levels were to cause the need for change. I got a snooty answer back as if she didnt want to tell me or have the time to. She hastily gave me my levels and said she would call the prescription to my pharmacy. I went to pick up my meds....and they werent there. Pharmacy said they had never been called. So I called Dr Grossmans office again the next day and ask that they call it in. They said they would and I confirmed the phone number. Went back to the pharmacy to pick up my meds for the second time....yet again, not there and again they didnt call it in. I then called the after hours number where I was directly patched through to the Dr himself. He, on his personal cell phone had to speak with the pharmacists to fill my medication! I could not believe the incompetency of the staff! Then they had the nerve, after all that, to send me a bill for over $200 and that was just for the office call! But get this, their bill had no information as to how to pay, who to make the check out to or place to pay with credit card....nothing. I called twice to try to pay...and discuss charges. Always got transferred to their billing department but never got through to them and left two messages. Never got a phone call back. Called the front desk girl, told her I was VERY upset with my experience with them, all she said was sorry with a slight laugh in her voice. Wow! So unprofessional. I had enough! So my husband tried calling. He finally got through to the billing department. He had what seemed like a good conversation. They were to call me back to have me pay over the phone for a portion of the bill and schedule a follow up appt.....surprise surprise....Never heard from them.Sorry, Dr. Grossman, youre great! Your STAFF however has caused me to NEVER go to that office again!
