Erin Floy provided exquisite Physical Therapy services for my first post-surgical (full knee replacement) session. Erin successfully walks that fine line between demonstrating compassion/empathy while at the same time encouraging and challenging her client to higher levels of performance/goal attainment. This is my second knee replacement and I have total confidence in Erins professional skills to efficiently carry me through a proven rehabilitation process while both challenging my potential and respecting my limits.

I had a positive experience. The docs and PT are knowledgeable and know their area of expertise. I ended up with some practical exercises to do on my own and feel they got right to the heart of the issue. I feel positive that I can make progress towards my goal after seeing them and getting their input.

Matt was great. Explanations were thorough but also easy to understand and follow. He was very professional, friendly and helpful.

So impressed with the providers and the care we received today. My daughter was just injured last night and had a trip to our local ER. When I was calling today to schedule follow up care, I was shocked to find they could see her TODAY! So thankful to get her looked at with a specialized provider so quickly. They were great with her and very knowledgeable. So happy we chose them.

Marys skill as a PT and her understanding of the underlying chronic diseases is creating a marked reduction of my constant pain and improvement in the quality of my sleep and comfort in daily living. She also provides thoughtful advice for improving my daily self help. I will be ever grateful.

My Doctor was informative regarding my condition and options for treatment. He was friendly and did not present a rushed atmosphere during my visit.

Great experience with everyone except the doctor. He reviewed my symptoms with me from an X-ray taken in April. Not my MRI from August or my CT scans from July. Referred me to pain management. When I asked what he meant by pain management he said, “pain medication and injections” I’m a recovering addict. This was on my medical history that he clearly didn’t review. I’ve heard great things about these doctors. I’m on Medicaid which probably explains my experience.

Easy to talk with and able to explain my medical problems in terms I could understand..

I very much appreciated Jakob Olson and his being so thorough. He didnt rush through my appointment, and he listened and answered my questions. I feel like Id be free to go back and see him if I have further questions or more problems. I do wish the office would be more flexible about face coverings, particularly being able to use a face shield if masks are a problem for a patient. The woman at the desk was somewhat unfriendly, perhaps from having to wear a mask all day.

Allen had a total R knee replacement today. We had top notch care. Our PT was very helpful. Nursing staff was the best. We would highly recommend Steindler Clinic for any orthopedic problems. They were great!!!!

Knowledgable and personable. She pushed me hard, but was very aware of when we needed to back off the intensity. Very good at reading body language and facial expressions.

As far as doctor appointment for my dad that went great he offered to write a note to get off work or said he could try to work and if it was too painful call and he could get a note. Well we did just that and got a call back that they could not give us a note for just anything. Really? so my dads pain is nothing to them. Customer service from the lady that called was not okay and very rude.

Helped massage the muscles in my shoulder to loosen it up for stretching. Explained further what had been done at my surgery. Highly recommend.

Erin was extremely helpful and very patient, able to translate my lay experience with my pain to professional language that helped with my treatment plan. She was patient helping me understand movements I needed to do in to language I understood because I learn movements in some different ways. I really liked working with her.

Mary is an experienced professional and a very kind person. She knew exactly how to inspire my 92-year-old mother, provided perfect exercises to continue at home, and also gave us excellent advice on how to preserve my mom’s back health. Mary has been a true partner with our family so that mom amd dad can continue to live independently in their home, and we are so grateful to her!!!

Brad made a brace to support my thumb. This was a conservative approach suggestive by Dr. Wills to reduce the pain in my thumb.

Mat is very friendly and helpful. He is patient and carefully explains what were doing and why. I greatly appreciate his help and expertise.

Erin did a great job of explaining my therapy to my wife and I today. She was thorough and did a good job of demonstrating the activity I will need to do.

I had a bad sliver. It was very deep in the finger. I tried to remove it and ended up going to 2 different doctors. One would not attempt to work on the finger. The other one tried, but said that it was too deep and near nerves, so he sent me to Steindler. Dr. Wills is very knowledgeable and skilled. He is also very pleasant. He did a surgery and removed it. I am so grateful to be, finally, healing..He also looked at my husbands fingers which were mangled from a bad fall. Because he is diabetic and has other health issues, he decided that surgery may not be a good option at this time. He sent him to see Laurie Stonewall, who is an occupational therapist at Steindler. He was happy with this because he has had her before and she is very gentle and kind. She made him a contraption to stretch out the fingers slowly. So, we will start the process of healing his fingers. We are very happy with the Steindler Orthopedic Clinic.

Walked in to Steindler today with no appointment to get my acute shoulder pain evaluated. Within minutes I was checked in, then X-rays were taken, and just a few minutes later I met with a PA (Quinn) who was quick & confident about my diagnosis & able to tell me what to expect. Outstanding experience start to finish!

Tyler was great, I came in limping and frustrated, He got me back to walking without limp without pain. I will always be grateful.

Abby Hein, who saw me for neck issues, was excellent in every respect. She explained to me exactly what she had determined, showing me the x-ray results and indicating the sources of the issues. She informed me clearly why further scans were not indicated and did some physical tests that confirmed that I did not have anything seriously wrong—just normal arthritis resulting from aging. Moreover, she was extraordinarily congenial and understanding, willing to listen and not at all in a hurry to get on to her next patient. I was thoroughly reassured and impressed, and I would recommend Steindler to anyone based on the treatment I received from her.

My wife has had both knees replaced by Dr. Mysnyk and both hips by Dr. Whited. The surgeries went well and her quality of life has improved. The Steindler facility in Iowa City is clean and the staff is very friendly. We also find their satellite office in Burlington convenient as it is closer to where we live. My only complaint is that they require a partial payment up front before surgery, which in our case caused us to pay more out-of-pocket than was necessary. Our insurance says we need to request a refund from Steindler, which so far has been unsuccessful. So those facing a request for partial payment before surgery, check closely with them and insurance so you dont overpay out-of-pocket. This situation for us made me only give 4-stars.

This was an outstanding experience start to finish. I was able to get a same day appointment, was seen immediately upon my arrival, and was out of the clinic in a little over an hour with an excellent diagnosis. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

I want to publicly thank the staff at Steindler Clinic. It is obvious from one visit that everyone in the place is committed to quality patient care. Having endured visits at similar facilities in other states, I was pleasantly surprised at the time taken and level of concern shown by staff members. I never felt like I was merely a number to them. I left with a clear understanding of the issues and a plan going forward. This is probably the best experience Ive ever had dealing with a medical issue and thats saying something!

I fractured my left femoral neck. Dr Mysnyk did the surgery same day I was admitted even though it was 5:30 PM. He patiently communicated exactly what was wrong and how he was doing the surgery. Great personality!

Brad did an awesome job putting me at ease, proving encouragement and letting me try all the fun activities (like putting socks and shorts on) using his equipment. Great job, Brad!!

I had the opportunity to meet with Matt for consultation on a speedy recovery for an upcoming hip replacement. Matt was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in explaining in fine detail my surgery procedures. He provided me with all necessary equipment needed, and how I am suppose to use them to prevent dislocation of my hip. I am so thankful for this man and I am anticipating a speedy recovery. God has many Angels and he should be considered amongst them.

Matt is a knowledgeable, caring, efficient, and effective physical therapist. I find myself trying to do better each visit because I know that one of the ways Matt feels fulfilled is to see progress in his patients.

Erin is definitely a 5 star PT. She greets me with a smile everyday no matter if she is having a bad day or not. She is very compassionate and caring. She works me in a good way and I always feel very confident in my progress when I’m done. I can’t say enough great things about her and all the friendly staff at Steindler.

Dr Rendoff suggested a cortisone shot in my knee to alleviate my pain. He made the procedure almost painless, but definitely tolerable. I’ve had them in the past from other physicians and this time it was very easy compared to previous injections. I recommend Dr Rendoff for all your ortho injection needs.

Quinn was professional and kind. He is very knowledgeable and was able to explain the injury and treatment in a way that even my child easily understood.

Ann was very helpful & informative. Wish I had had her simple, easy tip for getting in & out of my high bed 2 weeks prior when I left hospital. I would have avoided needless pain trying to use a sling on foot & trying to throw straight leg onto bed (keeping correct positions & not twisting body!) without being able to touch the floor to push off. I felt I was doing more harm than good to use sling as advised, so the trade-off was lack of sleep & not getting my foot elevated high enough in recliner.Ann is very knowledgeable & I you will be lucky to receive her assistance!

Steindler Orthopedic Clinic runs like a well-oiled machine. It reminds me of the years I took my spouse to the Mayo Clinic to be treated for brain cancer. It is wonderful to be in a medical office where everyone is knowledgeable and treats you kindly, like you are their most important client! I would, and will, refer them to everyone who needs their services.

Steindler was able to work me into an urgent care appointment quickly. Abbie Hein was the assigned PA-C and she provided thoughtful, excellent care. When I called for the appointment I was in extreme pain and within 24 hours I was feeling much better.

Mary ALWAYS does a great job! Ive been a patient of hers off and on for a long time and she always makes me better.

THR surgery has been successful, although recovery without a coach was harrowing, initially. Our system of medical treatment relies on unpaid caregivers, family and friends. Without them to assist, its more than a little Spartan.When I phoned this week with concerns about safe range of motion at my stage of recovery, the surgeons nurse referred me to Dr. Google, if I had internet. Maybe its my insurance, but a single PT session immediately post-op, seems scant. Its a safe bet Dr. Google will outpace the pros, in this case, RE: responsiveness and suggestions. :-/

Thanks for the 3 papers that I need to practice before surgery!! Somethings have changed from 3 years ago when I had this surgery, but think this was more useful, going over with Laurie. 6 weeks is a long time to be so careful, but itll be worth it.

Had bilateral knee replacement everything was going good with the recovery . Unfortunately they had me lifting to much weight with my knees . I’m not a person to question someone else in there profession, but lifting 50lbs to 70 lbs pounds starting off is way to much . Caused major IT band syndrome which months later still trying to recover. After talking to several people and other professionals in that field agreed. This should of been handled differently and also the symptoms I was trying to explain to them constantly . Should have been recognized and treated with more concern.

After many missteps by a local orthopedic, I received a second opinion from Dr. Austin Remme. Dr. Remme was very thorough , explained what my exact injury was, what my course of action should be, and if surgery was needed what all would be done to repair. During appointments, I felt like my opinion was valued and taken into consideration. I ended up having to have surgery. The day of surgery Dr. Remme spoke to me before going into the operating room, during recovery, and came back to my room before he left for the day to check to see how everything was. This is what going above and beyond looks like. If you are looking for one of the best knee surgeons, look no further!

Dr. Ramme was so kind and professional with a great bedside manner. He explained wha was going on with my daughters shoulder to her and myself. He demonstrated with his hands the shoulder joint/ball socket and how it can be damaged for her to understand. He also drew a picture of the joint and what surgery would do to correct the issue and what recovery would look like if we chose to do that over PT. He explained all options to us both for assist us in making decisions on what to do with her shoulder.

Steindler clinic is a breath of fresh air. All of the employees made you feel welcome as well as very relaxed and caring. Dr. Overton was a pleasure to meet. He took the time to explain very thoroughly how the procedure would be carried out and what to expect after the surgery. Jessica explained everything to me and gave me tips for getting in and out of the shower with temporary bars. Also, was very helpful explaining how to get around with a walker and a cane. Very pleasant, helpful and took the time to find out my concerns as well. It was a wonderful experience for my first knee replacement.

It was a very efficient visit , hardly any wait time, and my doctor was very thorough with explaining my issues to me, and what needed to be done.

The Steindler Orthopedic Clinic is very good at managing the intake and output of patients without them feeling rushed or imposed upon. The staff includes a large number of courteous people who are well trained in executing themission of the clinic.

My second Visit to Mark, he is direct, thorough, went over all pros and cons for potential knee replacement, i have a good understanding of what i need to do prior and after.i did get a cortisone shot in my knee and it feels much better.

Busy day of appointments but mostly well coordinated. Each person I met was caring, professional, and communicated well with me about their part of correcting my physical need.

Frisbie definitely is knowledgeable in his specialty. I decided to go to Steindler Clinic for a 3rd opinion, regarding a fibula fracture/injury I had sustained. During the course of 10 weeks, he answered specific questions on how I could stabilize/mobilize/recover and offered appropriate expectations and suggestions for returning to functions at both my work and the gym. He routinely was evaluating my healing radiologically and upon examination. I felt comfortable and confident in my care.

She was very friendly, knowledgeable, listened well and answered all my questions. Great experience. Would highly recommend to others.

Phenomenal! Erin was awesome in regards to my PT for my complicated left shoulder rotator cuff tear surgery-I was no weight bearing status for 12 weeks, not allowed by my surgeon on my bike for 16 weeks-yeah hes specific in this, which is why I went to him. Erin is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and I made great progress with her graduated instruction/direction and my full compliance/effort. I have had 4 left knee surgeries and my therapist then (at a different city/facility) was just as awesome. I searched out Steindler, as I am new to the IC area-based on recommendations and knowledge of the field (Im a doc my self, 23 years in the field). Highly recommend Steindler, and if you can get in with Erin, Erin specifically.

I requested this therapist because her work was so effective with my lower back. She is through, considers all angles of the injury or concern, and offers exercises that bring relief and strengthen muscles. I know I can ask her questions, and she will have an answer!!!

I appreciated how Laurie explained the whys of what we were doing. It was also helpful to see pictures of hands with tendons and ligaments to understand better what was needing the work.
