I was referred to Dr. Howard for a second opinion. My appointment was at 11:00 AM. I arrived early and checked in rapidly. Shortly there after a nurse got me to get vitals.After that the appointment was horrible. I was in severe pain and could not sit and had to try and get comfort. I waited for 40 minutes. No one asked if I needed anything or there would be a wait.He was clearly behind schedule.Once in the room I was met by a doctor whose name I cant recall. He was not aware of what my issues were and asked me why I was seeing Dr. Howard. I found his role in the appoint a waste of time and added to my pain.Dr. Howard was briefed by the said doctor.Dr,. Howard did not give me his insight for as to what a surgical procedure from his team would In-tail. He gave me the stock reasons for possible issues after surgery.I drove two hours to get a referral to the pain clinic.His parting, I am sorry you waited so long. feel on deaf ears.Two stars was generous,

Dr Howard is the worst Dr Ive ever seen. Doesnt care about his patients or their pain. I have never met a doctor as rude as him ever. He had me crying when I left his office, he kept referring to a patient approximately my age and her results. I did not go there to talk about another patient. I also had a friend that saw him recently and he was same way with her. If I would have known he was who she was going to I would have warned her. I called office and complained but never heard back from them.

Dr Howard found a problem that 7 surgeons in 15 years missed. Everyone looked at my back and it was actually my neck causing problems clear to my legs and feet. Surgery is scheduled for next week!

Ive had Dr. Matthew Howard III for several years now. Cervical stenosis, brain tumor removal and spinal double fusion plus stenosis. He is awesome and very polite. Saved me twice! Im 62 and no problems to report. Except a few of the team are rude and uncaring. Just tell em theyre asses and the leave. Teaching hospital and it used to be more personal. Dr. Howard is short on time the one day a week he sees spots. Surgery the balance. Rude or busy and most people like to hear results typical of same details, good or bad. He tells us once how it is. No dancing or fooling. My friend just had surgery as I had referred him - great thank you so much for telling me about him. And all my other surgeons were butchers and eventually barred.
