Very happy with my visit and the Doctor. She was very professional, personal, and thorough.However, I found the office to be not competitive with their pricing. Everything pertaining to purchase was fairly high...in my opinion. I will be buying frames and progressive lenses elsewhere.Yes, I even had insurance.Yes, I would recommend this business. I would happily come back for an exam.

The staff here was very professional. They take customer service extremely seriously. I didnt have to wait long for my appointment and the optician was very knowledgeable. Wendy and the team went above and beyond administering my insurance needs. I will be coming back in the future!

I want to say that the Optometrists and staff were 99% amazing.. My major issue here is the 1% of staff that didnt inform me in Oct. 2018 that my frames came with absolutely NO WARRANTY whatsoever apparently... Claimed that it was because of my insurance and that I needed to pay an additional fee for insurance at the time of the initial appointment etc... Now this does not make sense to me for a couple reasons, 1) My vision insurance is through work and is , and is top notch, 2) Im the type of person that if told this...would have bought the additional insurance, PERIOD.. My glasses, aka..being able to see is EVERYTHING to me for driving, work, etc... Now, the frames... So, my insurance covered I believe $150 for frames.. I liked a pair that were a bit more and paid the difference, no biggie, expected. However here I am 10 months later with a pair of glasses that snapped dead center while I was cleaning them and was told there is basically nothing they can do. AWESOME!! I came here as I heard amazing things, and as I mentioned I experienced that 99%, but this is really unacceptable. I have an appointment already with my old optometrist and thats where I will stay.

I Understand Many Business going Through rough time due to Covid-19, but doesn’t give you the right not follow with their Patient or client, I was schedule an Appointment on June 5th for Eye Exam, The Doctor (Becky) is very nice and amazing Doctor after we done with Exam she sat with one her Team to help me with New Pairs of Glasses and Contact as well I sat down and I choose the pair of glasses and she told they don’t have them on stock the individual is she order was very nice, I order them and I paid $ 300 on top of my insurance as of the contact she give me a trail to use and to see how comfortable they would be, On June 15th I got text stated part of my order is here want there and picked up the two pairs of glasses I told them I want change the contact from monthly to weekly and she a different individual told she would place the order then now and it will be in two weeks, On June 25th I got text my order is here and ready for pick, on my way to pick the contact I get another text 15 minutes after the first stating disregard the previous the message, I immediately called and ask what happen to my eye contact she ask for my DOB I give to front individual she stated they don’t have to order in they mixed my order with someone else and she told me to wait till Monday, I waited till Wednesday and I still haven’t heard from the doctor office so I called and I ask what’s going the individual stated they didn’t have pair of contact on warehouse or the company they order from I immediately ask when are you going let me know she skipped the questions and told me I would get them by July 10th waited till then No Call and No Update from Doctor, I called in today went through the same precodure as before and even worse I was put in hold for 15 minutes till someone pick up the phone said how can I help you, there communication is one of the worse, with straight attitude an individual by the name ( Stew) going tell me I don’t have your order I don’t know when they going have it also telling me have trail if you want come pick up you can if you don’t it’s up to me, OVERALL I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THIS CLINIC NOT ONLY WORTH BUT THEIR STAFF ARE ONE OF THE WORK, THEIR DOCTORS ARE BETTER THEN STAFFING THERES NO COMMUNICATION NO FOLLOW UP! IF I HAVE CHOICE NOT TO GIVE STAR I WOULD’VE DONE IT!

Great first visit to this place! Appointment scheduling was simple, the hours were convenient, and Dr. Jensen really made me feel at ease. I also purchased my frames here. The salesperson talked me down to purchasing a lower index and lens than what I had in my old glasses, and though I was skeptical at first, she was right... they dont look any thicker with the prescription I have. And it saved me quite a bit of money. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Dr Jensen for many years. Dr Jensen and his staff are always friendly and explain things in terms that you can understand.The only negative is the glasses are pricey but they help you find something to fit your budget.I love the free baby eye testing that they do. It put me at ease knowing that my baby had healthy eyes.

Jensen’s eyecare has been amazing with my 2 sons. Dr Becky Borkovec is one the most compassionate and genuine doctors we have encountered. Both of our boys have had something somewhat more serious then just imperfect vision and Dr Becky has gotten us into the University of Iowa for further assessment providing us with reassurance that things will be OK! Love Dr. Jensen and his staff. When I was on vacation recently, I had a torn retina. I called the office and they told me exactly what to do. The retina was fixed and we went on with our trip. When I got back, Dr. Jensen saw me to make sure all was still well. He takes as much time as you need. When I have gotten glasses, he makes sure they are exactly right and has even re-ordered a lens that just wasnt perfect. I highly recommend Jensen Eyecare Center. You wont regret it.

I have been seeing Dr. Jensen since was a kid. I refuse to see anyone else when it comes to my eyes. The staff knows me and my quirks. They treat me and my family incredibly well. Any issues I have ever had have been dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction! I will never go anywhere else. I pay out of pocket to see them because they dont take my insurance and it is totally worth it to me.

We have been patients of Dr Jensen for more than 20 years. We wouldnt think of going anywhere else for our eye care. We always receive very personalized care from everyone in the office when we visit or call. Dr Jensen takes our eye care very personally and always answers our questions directly and clearly. Seriously. I must say this is truly the best eyecare center I have ever been to. I say this because each time I have had an emergency, the staff got me in on the same day (and both times within an hour of my call). All of the staff are amazingly friendly and seem genuinely concerned about making sure patients have a pleasant experience. This is the only place I will go for eye care!

My opinion has gone down from recent interactions. Dr. Jensen is still an awesome Doctor who really knows his stuff and the front desk ladies who check you in are wonderful, but their frames are over priced and some are faulty. They have told us you have to buy warranty coverage to cover faulty frames. This doesnt seem right... it seems like if youve sold a faulty product you should replace it at zero cost. My daughters glass frames have broken three times. The first time we had to pay to replace them. When the replacements came, the tech broke the second pair in the same exact spot trying to get the frames in. It took them about a month to get a replacement pair after the tech broke them. We were not compensated for waiting. I was told by the store manager that 20 of their patients have these glasses frames with zero problems so they would not pull them from their shelves. Seems to me if one of your own techs busts the frames in the same place that might be your first and only reason to feel a need to pull that frame. They went on to blame my daughter for careless handling of her glasses. I did not appreciate that much. I give three stars because Dr. Jensen is great as I say, and they did replace them the second time the tech broke the frames (with an excessive wait time) and the third time my daughter broke them again. But I feel like I should have never had to pay to replace them that first time, knowing now that they are faulty in that same place on the frame. We will go to Costco for our glasses from now on. We may or may not stay with Dr. Jensen for actual eye care. Not sure.

My appointments have always been good. The staff has answered all my questions and taken good care of both my wife and I.Dr Becky is great and takes the time to explain everything that I want to know or should know. Have been visiting Jensen Eyecare for over 30 years and still keep Dr. Jensen as my eye doctor even though I have moved to the upper peninsula of Michigan. He is so knowledgeable and his staff so friendly and helpful. I wouldnt go to any other and arrange my visits to Iowa City around my yearly appointment.

I LOVE Jill! She is an artist when looking at a face and instantly gets which glasses would be the most flattering, plus she LISTENS! She learns what bling or no-bling, colors and avant-garde or no....and gives perfect advice, always. ALL of the staff is quick to correct the most minor detail, whether a lens could be improved or a nose-piece changed or the entire frame replaced, factory error or UNDER WARRANTY-No Charge!I looked for frames online and in New York City and came back to Jensens, because I can get exactly the same new-on-the-market eyewear as in NY. The lenses are digitally cut and also state of the art-dont let another place talk you into higher-priced glasses with the sales pitch, we are the only ones that have ---, bcz I checked, and then went back to Jensens and had it all explained and put in writing! Yes, thats me. Frugal, but I desire perfection. Know I am getting quality and fashion that turn heads in Manhattan or Boca Raton. They provide. :)These doctors have state-of-the-art equipment and are more knowledgeable about eyes than most optometrists. They can help with eye tracking for children or adults with reading issues and dyslexia. They watch for autoimmune issues that affect eyes, amongst other diseases.They are also ALL kind and compassionate, on my grumpy and cranky days as well as on my happy days. After a car wreck with smashed glasses and a concussion, with my eyes affected, they took care of me like angels. No, I do not hang out with these wonderful folks, although I have known them professionally a long time, just so you know there is no vested interest here. :) Quality above and beyond deserves a review!
