Great place to restart life no excuse program theyll help you if you want to get a job and need new skills I learned how to do a resume as soon as I hit send I got a call and a job

The people there survived the streets like I did. Im from Detroit and was an Alcoholic before I got delivered thru Jesus Christ. And they bend over backwards to help you succeed. From feeding you, to sending you to school, to finding you a job, and either driving you there, or getting you a gas card, or giving you bus passes. They knock out all of your excuses to fail. And they have a credit union inside the building. I am a proud member of that credit union. Its called the Financial Health Federal Credit Union. And since the manager, Ms. Clarese spoke about it at one of the classes, I knew that they were serious about helping me. I joined because of Ms. Clarese.

I received my first Covid-19 vaccination at Indianapolis Urban League, and am scheduled for my second in April. I was very impressed. They made it super easy and were very kind. Thank you, Indianapolis Urban League.❤️

We received our vaccines here. Very organized, informative and quick. They partnered with Walmart pharmacy. The pharmacists were knowledgeable and gentle with administering the shot.

Its great that the Urban League is hosting a Covid-19 vaccination clinic

Overall, they are amazing. They really want to help people become better. There’s just always an employee or 2 that always lacks communication. They deal with dozens, if not hundreds of people a week so a delay is understandable. I’ve experienced sending several emails though, over the course of weeks and got no reply. Other than that, these people care. To get training is a long, drawn out process, but they are there for you every step of the way.

Its not like I hated it. Its just that I didnt get the chance to complete the class that I was taking due to this virus everything was closed. The building was vacant but opened. Even the receptionist was gone.

I just love these people they are such a blessing to me and my family

Here are my details. The New Beginnings, and subsequent programs, are celestial. Even with that, everyone there works hard to make it even better. Theres no better place to learn how to sell yourself in ANY job market. Go there. Learn. Commit. Be your best.

So many resources in this place. A very powerful group of people and programs here. All the resources you can need. The folks here are out going and friendly. They do all the can to help you succeed in your short term and long term goals. You can hardly do better than coming over to the Urban League.

I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to improve their interviewing skills, info about the Financial Health Credit Union, how to create a well crafted Elevator Speech and how to qualify for additional training/certification. This organization has a wealth of information, resources & strategies on marketing yourself. Learning how to Speed Interview & answer tough interview questions. I was discrimination These people are horrible I attended the program in March I was forced to take take a statistics course instead of the course I came there for after I made a complaint to ms.simmons about the professionalism of one of the staff Even after she was told that the other people wasbeing rude she also told me that they was family around there and I couldnt break that up even after I signed all of my paperwork to attend the course she said she wasnt going to sign off of on anything besides me attended the program that is for minority and that I attended the urban legue I told her no and because I am bi race and because on my last name is that why she was trying to force me to do this she told me that they needed to grant dollars coming in and she told me I dont have what it takes for the program I was going for these people are terrible and they need to be shut down for what they are doing its against the law I did not agree to be part of that course so I lefted I am pretty sure that they have done others the same way they get Grant money to help people instead that just give it to family and friends which is against the law as well it needs to be CLOSE DOWN BECAUSE WHO ARE THEY TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT.

This is an excellent opportunity to help those that are in a disadvantaged position. Those that are looking for jobs,careers; even those that may have felonies, can get back on track and reposition themselves to have Financial Security through hard work and training.
