Dr.Ghate takes the time to explain things, answer questions. He is very caring to his patients!! He provides great care! He and his staff are thorough and attentive!! I would definitely recommend him!!

I would like to thank Dr Ghate for the absolute best care that I received from Him and His office staff. Dr was very passionate,caring and knowledgeable and always explained things. My foot surgery and aftercare were exceptional. His bedside manner was above and beyond and I have already recommended Him to others and will continue to do so because my experience and care was none short of EXCELLENT. Dr Ghate has been helping me through my foot pain ever since Ive been neglected by the upmc after my motorcycle accident. I always have a positive experience coming to this office. The staff is all friendly and prompt. I especially enjoy all the communication Ive had with Laura, who is always very helpful assisting me through arising issues and answering all the emails and phone calls. All the rooms are clean and well maintained.

Dr. Ghate is absolutely amazing and I can not recommend him enough! Dr. Ghate did 3 surgeries on my ankle. He made sure I knew what was going on and was always available to answer questions when I had them. Surgery is not fun but he truly made it a good experience. The staff is also fantastic and friendly! They were always willing to work with me with appointment scheduling and like Dr. Ghate, were very helpful with any questions I had. I can’t thank them all enough!!

Went almost a year wearing larger shoes due to a lump growing on the joint of my big toe. One visit with Dr. Ghate for diagnosis and solutions, and a surgery later, (removal of arthritic joint and replacement) I no longer have pain and regained motion of the toe. Excellent bedside manner, clear communication skills, a joy to engage with.

This is the second time I have used his services and I’m really glad I came back again. First was ingrown nail removal and second was surgical repair of a broken ankle.He is really good at what he does. He also has a fantastic bedside manner. He gave me his cell number to contact him if I need anything. I did have a question and he got back to me quickly. Seriously, who does that? This just shows how good of a doctor he is and how much he cares about his patients.His staff is also great. They are friendly and knowledgeable.He even did surgery on my mother and it went very well. She has no problems and she’s glad she had him as her surgeon.Both of my procedures went very well. Dr fixed a torn tendon in my ankle. Before surgery it was swollen and I could hardly walk. After surgery I work my full 8 hour shift on my feet all day. And I can enjoy my walks on the trail. He did a great job and I am very pleased with the care and attention he gave me.

Dr. Ghate is a wonderful podiatrist and an amazing surgeon. I have had issues with my left foot for most of my life. After nonsurgical interventions were unsuccessful, he performed a series of operations on my foot, and I am currently on the road to a successful outcome! His medical knowledge and surgical skills are second to none. As a nurse myself, I am also quite impressed with with his bedside manner. He takes time with his patients, explaining everything thoroughly, and making himself available to his patients, both prior to and after surgical procedures, in case his patients have any questions or issues. On top of all of this, his office staff is fantastic! I highly recommend Dr. Nihar Ghate for any and all podiatry/surgical care.

We could not have asked for a more caring physician. He takes time out of his personal life to answer any questions and truly cares about his patients. The care and wisdom that he offers is impeccable. Second to none. I wish all Drs were just like him. Very thorough and made sure that we knew exactly what was happening along the way. I am beyond thankful for all that he has done for my father and will recommend him to anyone.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Detailed review below.I called Dr. Nihar Ghate’s office the Monday following the weekend of my injury (broken foot) and they were able to fit me in the very same day. From that point forward, I have been nothing short of impressed by the professionalism, efficiency, and absolute care by Dr. Ghate and his staff.Dr. Ghate is so friendly and personable, and doesn’t rush appointments when you have any questions. He is thorough in explaining everything from your injury, options, casting, procedures, and rehabilitation. Hands down, he is the most genuine doctor I have ever been a patient of.Dr. Ghate also performed surgery on my foot. He was personally available post-op via cellphone if I had any questions or concerns. (Who else does that!?) And I am happy to say that 3 months to the date of my fracture, including surgery, I was able to walk again without any assistance! And, the incisions were so expertly done that you can’t even see them anymore.This is the MOST efficient doctor’s office I have ever been to. For example, they have prepared, printed directions for showering with a cast, pre- and post-surgery—which is SO helpful to have once home instead of trying to remember the details. What is also super helpful is that on the print-out of your appointment, there is a listed time frame for your appointment, so if you are someone like me who couldn’t drive for 3 mos. due to my injury, it was easy to schedule those rides, knowing the times and duration of those appointments ahead of time.Last but certainly not least, this all happened in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to go to all appointments and surgery by myself, Dr. Ghate and his staff could not have made it easier or more comfortable during a time when nothing was/is certain. I recently had tendon repair surgery performed by a surgeon from another medical facility which did not go very well. My wife was a patient of Dr. Ghate at this same time to whom she told the horror story of my botched surgery and post surgery care.Dr. Ghate showed more concern about me, without even being a patient yet, than the prior doctor and PA did the entire time I was under their care.I did make the switch and am so thankful that I did!!!Dr. Ghate placed me on the right track of healing and therapy which saved me from terrible treatment and what was starting to be an infection, and I cannot thank him enough.I wish that all doctors had the same passion, empathy and intelligence that this man has. My experience with Dr. Ghate was nothing short of outstanding.

Dr. Ghate is the best wound and foot/ ankle doctor ever. You are lucky if you have him. He is always there to take care of you he cares about all of his patients. If you do not like him that is your problem not his fault. If you do not heal right that is because you do not do what he tells you to do. I have gone to Dr. Ghate for many years and my family even seen him longer than I have, we all love him. He treats his patients with care and respect. He does what is best needed for you. ❤️🥰🤩 People need to stop judging and saying terrible things about doctors they work very hard to heal people.

I have been seeing Dr. Ghate since 2016 and feel you could not ask for a better surgeon. I had bilateral ankle fusions where one of them failed and the surgeon that did the fusion in the first place wouldnt even return my phone calls. When i finally did get him to do a CT he never called me with the results. The pain got to be so bad I went to the ER, and all they did was call the 1st surgeon who had them tell me to stay off it. Supposedly according to the 1st surgeon I was just doing too much, but how could I be on it too much when I was using a knee walker for mobility. After being disappointed with the ER I subsequently went straight over to my PCP who asked me if anyone had told me what was wrong and I said no. My PCP then informed me that my entire fusion of my left ankle had failed and immediately referred me to Dr. Ghate. I then went straight to Dr. Ghates office and he had me in surgery the next day. My failed fusion ended up with me in an external fixater for 6 months and then another 6 months in bed. If it hadnt been for Dr. Ghate I wouldnt be able to walk today. Anybody that negatively criticizes Dr. Ghate needs to take a second look at him, because maybe he was just having a bad day. Nobody is perfect all the time, but Ive been seeing him long enough to know that he is one of the best physicians I have ever seen. Thanks to him for all his wonderful work so I could have a better quality of life.

Dr Ghate did two different surgeries on my foot and they both fixed the problems right up. He is competent and kind and i just feel so at ease with him. He is always available for questions and even gave me his cell phone if I had any problems. I highly recommend him for any foot care or problem.

I went to Dr, Ghate when I found out I tore a ligament in my left ankle. He truly is an amazing Guy, definitely respectful , funny, fun to joke with, and all out compassionate individual to talk to when going in for the appointments he listens. I dont care what anyone says bad about him, theyre either jealous or mad of his success whoever talks down on him is Truly heartless. Truly he is the greatest surgeon Ive had thus far in town thats corrected my feet. I appreciate the work he had done on my foot and his staff is awesome!. Thank you all.

Nihar may be okay on a toenail, but dont go there for medical work unless you are uneducated on welfare and in no hurry to recover. Obviously not successful, because he is too broke even to put a door opener on a clinic where all his patients are on crutches. And seems to have never heard of advanced imaging.Two months on a broken foot that would not heal, I finally got out of town to a competent doctor that ordered the surgery that should have been done immediately. No athlete could tolerate this low quality of treatment. I guess it does not matter that I am trying to work all year so far in my PJs on crutches. At least I did not risk surgery with such a talent.

Went in for a permanent ingrown toenail removal was told I could go to work the next day and would just be a little sore from the procedure. For some reason I experience more pain than most and was not able to go to work. I was given a work excuse and managed the pain with pain meds I already had. Once the pain cycle broke I was fine and went to work the following day with little discomfort. Cant put my toe in a sock yet but hopefully in a few days.

My grandma was in terrible shape due to her foot. She was in severe pain day and night, as her quality of life severely decreased due to the pain. I am so grateful that Dr. Ghate took extremely good care of her and has enabled her to continue her every day activities as she once did. I highly recommend him to anyone suffering from foot pain. Dr Ghate is an absolutely amazing Dr. He did my reconstructive surgery on my tendent back in April and I have had absolutely no problems with my ankle since then. I would recommend him to anyone. My mother has had feet problems for years and went to another Dr who did absolutely nothing for her. She has been seeing dr ghate For about 2 months and he has already done surgery on her angle and cleared up whatever was in her ankle that made it hurt. Very satisfied!!

My better half was referred to Dr Ghate first. From our first visit he was knowledgeable and honest concerning his ankle injury. He spoke at length with us before he gave us time to decide the best thing for our situation. The staff was just as thorough with setting up a pcp for him and explaining the details before the day of the procedure. Thursday February 14th came the ligament was replaced and Dr Ghate sat with me 15 minutes explaining the surgery and filling out the HR package for his place of work. He made sure that we had his cellphone # if we had any issues or questions. That Friday night of 15th I tripped and broke my left fibula and I was told at the ER to contact Dr Ghate for an appointment Monday sometime. Saturday mid morning I texted him to let him know how his patient was doing and said Ill be calling the office for an appointment. Dr Ghate called immediately and said he got me an appointment Monday morning at 8:15am. Monday came he gave me two options we went with surgery and he and his staff got my blood work, preoperative appointment with my pcp scheduled and all cleared for thursdays surgery. The staff kept our appointments for the same times and are always helpful and happy to see us. Personally I have had many types of procedures and health issues and hands down Dr Ghate is by far the best down to earth great physician and person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Ghate is an awesome podiatrist and an amazing down to earth guy, as he took me on as a patient the day before Christmas. He did everything he could to get me back on my feet as fast as he could. When my incident happened I found out I had no insurance. Dr. Ghate did not turn me away his number one priority is to help the people. Ghate didnt worry about insurance or money. We can figure that out later he told me. Luckily within days I had my health insurance back up to par. He has kept in touch personally with my family and I throughout everything to keep us updated and informed or to help us with any questions or problems I had by surgury involving a bunch of ruptured ligaments and my fibula being shattered into peices, he was able to reconstruct and rebuild my ankle and I couldnt be happier with the results. Its been 3 months and Im back to work and everyday activities. I love the staff they are all great

Dr. Ghate is a amazing doctor. Ghate takes the time to listen to the patient, and makes sure that he does both xray and MRI to see what is going on. Ghate makes sure that his patient is comfortable and makes sure he does everything possible to make everything go as smoothly as possible. He gives you his number incase something was to happen and his office isnt opened yet. He makes sure that he replys with in seconds and checks up on his patients constantly. Ghate fixed someone elses mistakes in my ankle, and Im so thankful he did because he fixed me up good & did it properly. & I highly recommend coming to see Nihar Ghate for any kind of ankle/foot surgery!
