The staff is very professional and caring. The facility is bright, clean and updated. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff communicated well regarding our family member living in this facility. Unfortunately our family member needed to move to a skilled nursing facility. Staff at Moorehead Place were extremely helpful during this transition.

As i dont have family by blood here i do have a wonderful Angel here. He seems to be happy and the staff seem nice. The place is small and appeared to organized and homely as it can be i guess. The daily activities are posted and i witnessed a volunteer that was having a prayer get together. She was very polite and the residents involved seem to really like her. I love the fact that this place is in a neighborhood. I say this because i would think while pulling in or walking out the residents would feel more like they are in an actual home setting and not a facility. I was happy to see the environment and its location. More of a feeling of ease than dispare.

When my grandmothers jewelry came up missing a few weeks after an Indiana gazette article was published detailing other thefts, they were still unwilling to investigate. They also left her In a room with the thermostat locked with the heat way above 90 degrees in her room, and when asked I was told that maintainence would handle it Monday.... and that she should wear less clothing. This was a Friday. I’ve also witnessed the director forcefully moving another woman with dementia to a seat because she was annoyed. High turnover of staff has been evident the past ten years as well. We finally had her moved because even though she had friends, she was always agitated. Now that she’s been moved she is fine. If you love your family members don’t ever even consider this place. It’s not what you think it is.
