Well I can’t say enough about Dr. Dickerson and his staff! The staff at a doctors office can sometimes be iffy. Not here everyone is so engaged and they really want to help you.Dr. Dickerson is to me one of the greatest surgeons I’ve ever met. He talks right at you not over your head so you understand everything that’s happening or is going to happen. He gives you options and tells you what they are.But the best thing about Dr. is. He did a very complicated surgery on my back put in a new desk and fused it. It was done over an old fusion. I was very worried I might never walk again.guess what two weeks later after surgery I’m walking on my own without pain medication and without pain. I will be eternally grateful to the doctor for the rest of my life for helping me.

My wife always felt listened to and taken seriously. The staff is knowledgeable and they care about my wifes comfort. Dickinson did wonderful work on her surgery and her health has changed drastically for the better thanks to him.

Dr. Dickinson was very informative and was concerned about my problems not just what is wrong and lets do surgery. We RARELY seek medical attention or consult with specialists in the Idaho Falls area.Over the past 30 plus years we have seen first hand that the doctors in Utah provide a much more educated approach to our needs. When we were made aware that we needed a neurosurgeon we planned on going to Utah.However, when a family member recommended Doctor Dickinson we agreed to give him a try. I was referred to Dr. Dickinson for surgery on a bulged disc. His office staff is very friendly and answered all my questions quickly! My initial consultation with him was very good. He explained exactly what surgery would entail and was not pushy about operating. When I decided to have the surgery, I was in extreme pain. I could barely walk. I went to his office for a pre-op appointment and he came out and sat in the car with me so I didnt have to walk in his office causing me more pain. The surgery itself was very quick.. Just a day surgery. I was up and walking that same day. Im 2 weeks post surgery and continue to get better everyday. I was very hesitant to have surgery just because its my back...I only have one! I wish I would have done it sooner... Its literally changed my life for the better.. No more fear of injury and mental exhaustion from being in pain.

Dr. John Dickinson is amazing. I went to see him because of severe pain in both arm and legs. Back and neck had a constant ache. I had hardly no grip and hands and feet were numb most times. I felt immediate relief of pain when I woke up after surgery. He is not only great at his job but he has a great bed side manner as well. He was always up front and honest with me and made sure I understood everything thatvwas going on and what he could do. I love his office staff as well they treat you so good make you feel relaxed important not just a number. I would recommend him to anyone.

My mom got referred here by another doctor because they couldnt figure out what was going on. After being shuffled around to 4 different doctors Dr. Dickinson was the one who figured out what was going on. My moms back feels so much better now that he did her surgery. She is very happy that he was the one who did her surgery. She is getting back to normal and is able to walk again with very minimal pain after 1 month.

I was in pretty bad shape when I ended up going to Dr Dickinson they were very thorough with taking care of me diagnosing the problem getting me into surgery they took very good care of me I would recommend them to anybody very caring and helpful staff it was just an overall a great experience if youre having problems with your head I recommend Dickinson neurological.

My experience with Dr Dickinson was the awesome! I had been fighting back issues for about 4 months and was referred to Dr Dickinson by another doctor. He got me in very quick and had me scheduled for surgery two weeks later. The surgery went great and I am no longer in pain. He called me the day before the surgery to make sure that I didnt have any questions, and my wife said he was very kind and compasionate when he explained what took place during the surgery. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was having serious and debilitating right leg pan. I first went to see Dr Dickinson in April 2020, at his advice, combined with the advice of my pain management doctor, I had surgery in late May.I felt better after walking, I walked a lot, then one day I tried riding my bike, for the first time in years, I am now able to ride again!Personally, I hold Dr John Dickinson in very high regard, the night of my surgery, as promised he came to my room to talk to me, and he spent 30+ minutes with me answering all my questions!I would trust Dr Dickinson, and his advice! He is great, when I had to have surgery the ER Department at EIRMC had pushed it off as nothing and when I went in to the ER the third time he was the on who reviewed everything and said that had they looked at everything I would have been in Surgery sooner. He is great he looks at everything, MRI, symptoms what has helped and what hasnt to provide you with the best options for you. He is great with follow up after the fact and truly cares for his patients. Would recommend to anyone who needs back surgery.

Dr. dickenson does a great job of treating you like a normal human being. He was more than happy to go over, in detail, x-rays and CAT scans of my sons spine. 2 and a half years ago I suffered a severe spinal chord injury in which Dr. Dickinson happened to be my doctor. Meet Dr. Dickenson almost three years ago in the emergency room at EIRMC, as my back gave out on me! I had a dropped foot on the left side, and ruptured disc on the left as well, preventing from walking. He did a double fusion LR4/LR5 and put in a cage in that same area! Very blessed and thankful that he was there to perform the surgery!

I want to start out by saying Thank You from the bottom of my heart! You gave me my life back. After living with excruciating pain after my first back surgery in Arizona, Dr Dickenson and his outstanding team came to my rescue. They took the time to diagnose the problem, then put together a plan of attack and made me whole again. One year out from surgery I am loving life again and playing golf. After surgery, Dr Dickenson personally called me twice to check on my recovery. That’s the mark of a great surgeon that cares about his patients! Ten stars in my book.

He is the best - Dr. Dickinson treated my spinal stenosis, fusing c5,6 and 7 and year later put a cage between c4-5. He also did my carpal tunnel surgery just a few weeks ago. With every surgery he has called me the night before just to review the procedure and see if I had any last minute questions. This always helped ease my pre-surgery anxiety! I would highly recommend him!
