We recently switched to Dr. Garland from another Neurologist in Idaho Falls. The reason for the switch was the other Neurologist does not see his see high acuity patients until they have been a patient of his clinic for over 3 years. (That was what his staff told me). Dr. Garland did our H & P and exam. He does not use midlevels for this, which was ALL we able to see at the other Neurologist. Dr. Garlands office has been prompt and attentive when request are made and follow-up questions responded to quickly. It is a night and day difference in a positive way.

Just unfortunate. Shows a lack of interest in you by not preparing before the follow up appointments, walks in and ask you what your name is.

Dr. Garlands staff went above and beyond to help our daughter with a serious medical need. Dr. Garland was insightful and helpful

If I could give this a 0 star I would. Dr Garland is a pretty good Doctor but his staff and I mean ALL his staff are rude and not caring or helpful in any way. They will eventually be the reason this office closes down. Also I dont think Dr Garland has a clue the way his office staff treats his patients or is just too nice to stop it by not wanting to cause waves. My son goes there for his seizures but not anymore. I refuse to be treated like that. They cancel appointments the day of or dont call at all. Dr Garland wrote a emotional support letter to my landlord so my son could have his dog there. My sons dog tells us by barking and by turning in circles that a seizure is coming. The office staff took it upon themselves to take that letter back because they were too lazy to fill out a form for my landlord. Dr. Garland.... get rid of your office staff or your business will fail!

Rude staff and I refuse to ever go back. Didnt answer any of my questions about my headaches. They all looked at me like I was crazy. Avoid this business!

Dr. Garland is a wonderful doctor. He was able to diagnose me with my problem almost immediately. He is very knowledgeable and patient. His staff, however, are very distant and slow with the patients. They are not very good at returning phone calls at all. Their emergency number doesnt get back to you either. Dont expect things to get done quickly with the staff at this office.

Staff couldn’t be sweeter, they were able to get me in quickly, and Dr. Garland was great. He took the time to talk to me, review my concerns and ultimately give me a diagnosis! Love this office and all that work there!

I just returned from Dr. Garland’s office and my hubby and I are more than pleased. The office staff was very professional and sensitive to my needs. Dr. Garland is seeing me for a concussion that happened over a month ago and I was worried that with my condition, he may brush me off and it would be a waste of time for everyone. Well, it was the complete opposite. He was very sensitive, thorough, kind and more than helpful today. He took time with me, wrote down lots of notes and I feel very hopeful that he will help me feel better soon. Thank you, Dr. Garland and staff.

Dr. Garland is fantastic...... HOWEVER, Trina, Dr. Garland’s assistant is very hard to deal with. She is very abrasive and sometimes impossible to talk to. I have NEVER felt so judged and violated by the way she has spoken to me. Also, the front desk receptionist is unbelievably snobby. I was sitting in the small waiting area and I could hear her saying horrible things about the patient that just walked out the front door. I was appalled and I can’t possibly imagine what she would say about me, but she is usually nice to your face. I’ve been a patient sine I was 12 years old... I am now 30.... I wrote Dr Garland a formal letter that stated my concerns and all I got way an insincere apology from Trina. I can’t imagine switching my doc at this point but I might not have any other choice if changes aren’t made.Written by: an anonymous patient who is worried how this review could effect HIM/HER.

Dr Garland is an amazing dr and was very patient and kind and understood my problems and helped me in a very knowledgeable way. BUT... his FRONT DESK LADYS are beyond rude and very unfriendly. I made an appointment gave them my ins card number and a few days later they called and said we canceled your appointment because you dont have ins..I explained to them yes I do I just spoke to my ins company. So I called my ins and they called their office and not even like 6 min after I get a phone call from the office saying that i do have ins but that I gave them a total different number and I DID NOT. I only have one number...andways after my appointment with Dr Garland when I told them I didnt owe a copay for my visit they explained I did and will pay it that day. I said no I wont and one of them stood up and said yes you will it says you owe it so we will collect it. I said excuse me while I call my ins... sure enough I handed the Bi!@% my phone and guess what??? I DIDNT HAVE A COPAY. I told them I met my deductible and my out of pocket max and no longer had copays. But they were very rude and I put them in their place by calling my ins and handing them the phone. DR GARLAND is amazing and I would see him if I needed to but only if he gets rid of his front desk ladys. They are heartless and rude and have no sympathy for anyone who walks in and out those doors. Hope Dr Garlad will see this and find people who will care and become a better front desk teamBecause he is losing patients because of them. TRUST ME

Dr. Garland is one of the best Neurologists in Idaho Falls. Trina, Mandy, and the rest of the office are top notch and do their jobs very well. You are in excellent hands in their clinic.

Doctor was good however caution with accounts receivable. I was unaware of a $27 bill and without contacting me they sent it right to a collection agency. I was not contacted by a collection agency. 2 years later I go to refinance our home and discover they have dropped my credit rating 100 points for a $27 bill I was completely unaware of. He may be a good doctor but his office support needs to do a better job. Unimpressed.

The Doctor is great and thorough, however, the office policies could benefit from an overhaul. Be prepared to pay not only your copay at the time of the visit but also your coinsurance amount (or deductible amount) for any procedure you might have at the office, before they bill your insurance. Sure, well see you, but be prepared to pay up front. should be part of their advertising.

Always had what I needed, doctors and staff very personable and helped me through a very tough pregnancy.

Dr. Garland has been my neurologist for over ten years. I started seeing him when I was 11 and he has been a great doctor and help with my epilepsy.

Office staff was not the kindest. short with my. idk if its that i am young and scared or what, but im not a fan of how i was treated. in addition to this I was given med after med because DR G wasnt sure what was going on... i ended up having really bad reactions to the meds. once off of them I left and havent gone back. Im sure DR G is a great guy but i wish his office was more welcoming with his staff and how the whole experience is going in. PS pricey too....

Do not go here if you have a very limited schedule because they definitely arent understanding when it comes to scheduling conflicts. They also wont accept their own faults when there is an issue. My husband has seen Dr garland for years due to seizures, well he has a seasonal construction job that makes it so he can only make doctor appointments december-ish through april-ish but Dr garlands office thinks its okay to deprive him of his seizure meds due to a scheduling problem that to begin with was their fault.

Great doctor, very thorough and helpful.
