Got in a fist fight on the floor of the Alabama legislatureBy DANA BEYERLEMONTGOMERY -- The talk in the State House since Wednesday has been the fight between two legislators over one of their wives. Rep. Steve Hurst, D-Munford, said he punched Rep. Patrick Jones, D-Huntsville, because Jones allegedly put his hand on his wifes leg at a popular legislative hangout in Montgomery last Tuesday night after being warned to leave her alone. Hurst said Jones had been making inappropriate comments to his wife since last year. Hurst said Jones allegedly gave Linda Hurst a hug and made an inappropriate remark during karoake night at the Ramada Statehouse Inn near the State House where the Legislature meets. He said Jones followed them to their table and allegedly grabbed her leg. Thats when Hurst said he backhanded him with an ashtray and then hit him again. Jones, who is married with a child, told the Huntsville Times, Anniston Star and Birmingham News that he did nothing inappropriate and had only pointed to Mrs. Hursts leg and said that her slip was showing. Jones demanded an apology from Hurst and threatened legal action. Jones had a chipped tooth and a cut on his face. House members have been approaching Hurst offering their congratulations and saying thank you for his action. Both men are middle-aged.

I have never been asked to fire an Attorney for someone else before. Reason? Incompetence with no excuses or apologies. Period.

Do not rent from Patrick Jones aka Dependable Leasing. He doesnt fix or repair anything and then will try to sue you to pay for repairs on a house after you move that were there before you moved in. Worst tenant experience of my life.

Do not do business with Dependable Leasing. Hes a crook and will not do what he says he will do.

Poor follow through. Tenant dodged garnishment then their work was complete..... Took money, didnt deliver.

He cares about his clients!
