If I could give a “0” I would. Given the Covid-19 situation, I was unable to attend with my husband for his procedure. After waiting hours, I called to check on him to be informed that he’d been taken back for the procedure, which was within minutes of being over, and no one called to update me. Of course, all I got was a “sorry”. This isn’t an oil change on a car where it’s just inconvenient to not get a phone call...this is your loved one. He had a terrible reaction to the anesthesia and was rushed out and treated without compassion. He was bleeding and vomiting and his bag of belongings were just pitched at his feet. As a caretaker kept on and on saying to him, “You need to just go home- you’re terrible with anesthesia”. He was so sick when the nurse brought him to the parking deck- it was shameful.

I have had two surgeries here in a month, and I am very impressed by the kindness, care and dedication of the staff, as well as their professionalism in anticipating my needs, making me comfortable and ensuring I would not become infected. To me, it seems clear that these folks are a happy staff and that translates into making the experience as pleasant as it can be for the patient. I hate surgery, LOL, but I felt from the moment I walked through the pre-op door like I could trust giving myself over to the care of these wonderful folks. They did not disappoint!BTW - Parking was not a big problem, we found, if the patient can be first dropped off and then the driver seeks a spot. I also highly recommend doing advance Pre-Admission at the Medical Mall to make your surgery day as carefree as possible. Then you just walk in, put your palm on the reader, and all goes smoothly from there.

My husband was in excruciating pain upon arrival for his kidney stone (6mm) extraction at the surgery center. He was vomiting the pain was so high. I immediately informed the front desk clerk. She said “she would let them know.” We waited a few minutes. By this time he’d wobbled to the bathroom 3 times to vomit. His face was bright red and he was sweating additional to the very high pain. I asked the clerk if she’d let them know. She said yes and said he couldn’t go back until it was his turn. I asked to speak to someone else. A nurse came out and said the same thing. There was no offer to let him go lay down even. There was ZERO concern expressed. He was in the lobby for about 45 minutes. Please do not insult this experience with a written comment of apology below my review.

Bad experience with this place from beginning to end. Turned in to the parking deck but there were no parking places. Luckily there were 3 of us so one person continued to drive around while two of us went in. The lady at the desk ask for written information then proceeded to ask us for everything she had ask us to write. We were there for my step son to have a kidney stone removed. The lady ask him for a $200 deposit. He is insured and gave his insurance card and picture id which is all they ask him to bring. He told her he did not have money on him. The woman went crazy telling him how in the real world people have to pay deposits and deductibles. She told him I should send you to financial but I won’t. When he went back to get ready for the surgery he told them he had been taking Aleve for pain. They ask him why? He told them he hurt from the 9 mm(?) kidney stone and he was given nothing for pain. Also, he went for his consultation and no one told him not to take aleve. I guess if they wanted a deposit that also would be the time to tell him. He did not get the surgery and was given something for pIn but this place is sorry.
