Dr Pukis has been a great, hes the only doctor that has got to the bottom of whats going on with me and has helped tremendously. Highly recommended, and the nurses are great as well.

I am a new patient of Dr. Pukis. I needed to find a great internal medicine doctor, and I absolutely did with Dr. Pukis. He listened, noticed things I had not thought about and did not shove drugs down my throat. He took his time with me, and his staff are super sweet and helpful!!! I am so glad I was referred to this office!!! 👍

Dr. Pukis is one of the worst Drs Ive come across in a long time. With all due respect I am convinced he got his license out of a cereal box. If you can see him for more than 6 mins hell only listen enough to shut you. With me it was always well what do you want or what do you think?? If I knew I wouldnt come to a Dr with a license. He also loves to send you to others & never heal you his self. Now for his staff they were always so amazing & caring but other than that I dont at all recommend Dr. Pukis as a PCP.

They prove that they care for your health and willing to assist in anyway they can to help you.....There is so much to truly say about Dr V. Pukis. He has helped me so much with my health. He listens tentatively to the concerns of his patients. He is in fact, insightful and knowledgeable in his field.I am on the right path to healing and Dr Pukis plays a significant role in it being so. My husband tried to make an appointment for an ear infection and they couldn’t see him for four days so I told them that he could have my appointment the next day and I would take the later appointment. Because some of his ear infection symptoms were similar to COVID they would not see him until he got a negative test result. I understand that everyone needs to be careful but when you have a patient with fluids leaking out of their ear and are in extreme pain I would think that you could offer some alternatives to get your patient treatment. To top that off my appointment got canceled as well.

When my family doctor retired, I had a very hard time finding another doctor as good as he was. Then I discovered Dr. Pukis and his amazing staff. The staff is super courteous and friendly, the office is clean, never long wait times, and Dr. Pukis is thorough. I never have a problem getting an appointment in a timely manner. At one point I was laid off from my job and lost my insurance. The fee to see him was very affordable and he seemed to genuinely care that I was uninsured and offered cheaper suggestions to meds as well. My boyfriend is now a patient of his as well. I highly recommend Blossomwood Medical!

5 stars for the doctor but a negative one for the nurse.She is very rude and condescending.I have anxiety and trouble swallowing.She wouldnt allow my sealed water bottle back in the room with me when I told the doctor he had no idea of this new policy

Dr. Pukis , his nurse, and the office staff, are terrific. Very professionally and efficiently run office. They ask all the appropriate questions and take very good care of the patients’ needs. I highly recommend Dr. Pukis to anyone looking for a doctor. He has an Internal Medicine specialty but I see him as my regular physician!

I was able to download, print and fill out paperwork before arriving, and they got me in in only two days. Short wait in the reception area. Doctor Pukis listened carefully and addressed my issues.

I wanted to share my appreciation for Dr Vito Pukis and Stacey, his office manager, for a recent visit where they showed a great deal of care for a patient, myself.My issue was mainly due to family issues of my parents health and my acute situation of rebuilding my past 2 years from a misdiagnosed internal abscess at Harvard Medical and Beth Israel in Boston during my Masters thesis year there. On side of that, my bone spurs have returned and just ... well tired of the health issues preventing all I worked for.This month and next are critical in my overcoming.Regarding my visit, I was simply feeling overwhelmed due to some specific financial details regarding my move home / getting prepared to Boston. The office staff was extremely understanding.I wanted to write this as Stacey and Dr Pukis were kind to go above board to be the upmost and talk tome as a person and work with me. I hated that I showed up stressed due to work and family.They were so nice and deserved a write/ post.Thanks Stacey and Dr Pukis, David.

When I first started going I thought Blossom wood and Dr. Pukis is was great and would have given them and him a five star. I loved the staff and still do like and respect many of them and he has had a couple really great practitioners. However when you like one all of a sudden they are gone and but would have to give those three great credit and five stars themselves except Claudia I would have given 10 stars for her compassion care and understanding and especially her knowledge and also being so thorough. However is all of sudden no longer able to seeing patience. However when called to see her was told over and over again she is there. Whats up with that? I point this out because Claudia understood me and believed me and I would have rated her higher then many doctors that I have seen including Dr Pukis. Mind you he is a good man and I am sure a good doctor in many ways but I agree with others he does not have time for you and I do not find that he is thorough nor has the knowledge for deeper issues and treats some as if they are drug addicts or a hypochondriac. Good at first but over time you come to see how things really are. One last thing there is a practitioner that think that has a God complex and if you even been diagnosed with something by someone else you couldnt possibly have it unless she says so or vise versa. She is not the only reason I will not go back after a year maybe but the most reason.

Dr. Pukis is a God-sent. He is the best doctor I have ever had. He is friendly, down-to-earth, and actually listens to my concerns. I have always received excellent care at his Huntsville office!

Friendly clinic, but not able to deal with rare or long term issues. They were unable to find a diagnosis for my wife after six months of trying. Pukis spends 5 minutes with you, max, and if he cant figure it out in that time he doesnt have the ability to go deep into the issue and so you will be left hanging. Hes still talented, he just has a lot of people to take care of and if you dont fit into an easy box then youre left misdiagnosed or not treated.In the end their staff refused to see my wife anymore, claiming (essentially) that she is a hypochondriac. A hypochondriac is someone who self-diagnoses without enough evidence to back up their claims, and a hypocrite is someone who diagnoses that condition without evidence or a referral to a psychologist (we would have gone). Very insulting last visit. Imagine being told to leave while being looked at like youre crazy, despite having labs and video evidence of symptoms. We wont be going back.Still, for most people this clinic should be fine. The prices are very fair, and the nurse staff is effective (their office staff leaves much to be desired though). If you have a complicated problem which requires in depth concentration to figure out a solution, this is not the place for you.UPDATE: Over a year later my wifes gynecologist found a softball sized cyst in her uterus and removed it. Afterwards, her dizziness and abdominal pain resolved to levels where she was able to return to work. So much for the problem being all in your head.

Dr Pukis has been a God sent to my husband and I. We had been looking for a good Dr that would accept our insurance and was not really quick to push the pills and send you on your way! When Dr Pukis was assigned to us in the ER a few years back, we switched to his office immediately! We had a few concerns about the OLD staff of PA’s and nurses but his NEW staff of professionals gives you the feeling that you and your health is their most importance concern. We no longer feel rushed or like they don’t care. Dr Pukis and his current nursing staff are always professional and looking out for what is best for the patent (overall). If that means a referral to another clinic or Dr, then they work with you to get you the best professional care that your insurance provider will approve. The Office staff is always quick to help get you checked in or out and to address any concerns. We have recommended Blossomwood Medical to several friends and family! As we grow older it become more important to have Dr and staff that you can trust and believe in. Thank you for coming to Huntsville!

Great medical clinic. They have the friendliest medical staff who treat you as if you are family. Dr. Pukis is by far one of the best physicians I have been to. He is extremely caring and always makes sure your medical issues are dealt with. If it wasnt for him, I would have never known about the problem with my knee. Thanks to him I am now 2 weeks out of knee surgery and feeling better than ever!!

Dr. Pukis at my time of visiting was a pill pushing and just dismissive doctor. My stepfather is DEAD from lung cancer who was told repeatedly it was COPD. He may have been cash pay but my God. I have a good friend DEAD they Im sure figured he was a hypocondriac until pneumonia of all things killed him which is typically a secondary problem. He had insurance so its not money thats the problem. My stepdad was 54 and my friend was give or take 30 THIRTYSmh

My mom was admitted from ER to Dr. Pukis care at Huntsville Hospital... with pain levels of 8 and continued vomiting for at least 48 hours -- my elderly father and I waited by her side for 68 hours before we even saw Dr Pukis for the first time (when he released her) to give us her diagnosis-- at that first and only check-in my him -- he let us know that we should not expect VIP treatment and that he had his own patients at the hospital to attend to that weekend... Dr Pukis has both an arrogant and condescending bedside manner and provide NO communication or compassion with his patient or the patients family... So if you are looking for a doctor with medical communication skills, patient respect and compassion -- Keep Looking... Dr Pukis was the absolute WORSE doctor interaction I have ever experienced -- Just horrific.

Medicare dropped Dr. Pukis we found out on our day of an appointment, they called the day before to confirm the appointment but no mention of the insurance being dropped. The receptionist was rude and had a screw you attitude, they sell trinkets and stuff in the lobby just like you would see in a third world country, my recommendation, dont go here.

Ive been struggling with the 1 star review I gave Blossomwood last week. The people there are incredible. The issue is that they take walkins, and they put the walkins before people with appointments. This results in waits that exceed an hour, even if your appointment is at 8:15. Last week the wait was 2 hours. I want to come back and give them a 5 star rating. I hope to do so.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Pukis for about two years and he is a fair to midline doctor...if you ever get to see him. Even directly asking to see your physician is ignored but he is the only one that will listen, for the two minutes he sees you. However, he must be squeamish or somewhat of a germophobe who does not like to touch people even when necessary for examinations. Over the past four months, the level of care Ive received has gone completely downhill due to his staff. There is a head nurse that has no problem yelling at patients in the waiting room, in front of everyone there, fully revealing a patients medical condition and diagnoses simply for asking questions about their care and requested tests. In my opinion: their new receptionist is about as warm and friendly as a hemorrhoid breakout and her job is to tell you no. NO you cant talk to YOUR doctor, NO you cannot leave a message for YOUR doctor, NO you cant talk to the nurse, and even, NO you cant have the requested record or paperwork. If you complain about the level or lack of care, the current office manager, who must have come from a prison clinic because she treats patients like theyre criminals, throws you out. I thought patient abandonment was grounds for malpractice. I absolutely recommend no one go here and Im not alone. Just read the other real reviews. Youll get better quality, hands on care in the ER.

I refuse to tolerate the lack of care and attention towards a patient, and Dr. Pukis is guilty of that. His failing management skills when it comes to his ever changing staff are unbelievable. It looks more and more like a patient mill than a Dr. office.

The new medical staff is great, I love them but their is 1 nurse I miss terribly, she was 1 of the sweestest nurses ive ever had a a doctors office & i think as patients we should atleast be told something because i mean everything has changed, i only gave a 4 instead of a 5 because there is still who i would guess is the main nurse & she sometimes thinks shes a dr...im there to see Dr Pukis, a nurse is supposed to make me feel comfortable & ask whats going on & not rush me like that. Another thing that bothered me is my last visit I had been in the hospital & they had changed my meds & I was so confused & been having horrible headaches with a few migraines but Dr pukis ask me basically why I was there & how he could make me feel better. Im not a Dr, hes my Dr.. I honestly was ready to pass out with my headache, why didnt he have his nurse lay me in my room ,give me a shot for my headache cause believe me Id tried everything but not he also forgot to explain my new meds cause you kno they dnt tell u anything in the hospital & 1 is for a serious disease so Im alil upset because I also have to be diagnosed with this disease & another Dr said he is to help control my fibro, I need to kno wat were doin?

I recently added Dr. Pukis as my family physician to my insurance because he was recommended to me by a friend, and my insurance was able to add him as such. I went in to talk to him about anxiety issues that I have been experiencing for quite some time now. When Dr. Pukis came in the room he rudely asked me why I had come to see him, and when I tried to expain my issue he immediately cut me off and said You are not going to get Xanax from me!. I never once mentioned anything about Xanax I just said I was looking for help. He continued to talk over, undermind my concerns, and eventually had me in tears. It was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Since he is my Family Physician according to my insurance I am not allowed to seek help from someone who actually cares unless I have a referance from Dr. Pukis. I asked him for a referal, and almost three weeks later I am still waiting on one. Dr. Pukis is the worst doctor in Huntsville. I am amazed that such an awful man would be allowed to practice medicine. Hopefully I will get the referal I need from his office soon so I can see a doctor that actually cares about their patients, and get the help I need.

Terrible experience!!! Staff is RUDE!! My mom recently went to Dr. Dewberry looking for a new doc. The front desk staff mistreated her from the start, the Dr. Seemed ok. Her 2nd visit was better and staff was friendly so she thought she would give them a try still hoping they were just having a bad day on the 1st experience. She went in last week on Monday w a UTI, Dr. Dewberry said if she wasnt feeling better by Friday she would call her in something else when the culture was in. Mom called Friday and the said the culture wasnt in yet and to continue w her currents meds til Monday. So mom called Monday and the lady upfront was rude again and said her culture was still not in and neither was the doc, to continue w the meds that were not working. I called and the lady would not even hear what I wanted, over talked me, yelled at me, and hung up on me. I called back she did not answer. I called again and she put the doc in the phone, who was supposedly not in the office, she said that she personally viewed the culture traits, that were supposedly not in 1 minute ago, and said that she was treated w appropriate meds, and that if she had fever is was something else (she had fever on the original visit). Now the doc says she needs to go elsewhere because she was leaving the office for the day and refused to make 1 call before leaving her office so she can get stronger meds to properly treat her infection and feel better. My mom has depended on her to help feel better for 2 weeks and My mom is still in a lot of pain and they wont even listen to either of us for over talking and yelling. The Dr does not care about her patients!! Do not go to this Dr!!!!!

Did not have a great experience at all. Due to availability of doctors in my network, I schedule an appointment with this clinic. Mainly because they could get me in quickly. I had been suffering from anxiety for weeks, but I also have a diagnosis of Adult ADHD. I had my records sent to their office. When the doctor at the Hampton Cove Clinic came into the room, she asked about my symptoms. She also read my history which stated I could not tolerate SSRIs, and her first and only recommendation was Prozac. First, I told her I was not depressed. I told her I was feeling overwhelmed, having a lack of focus and anxious. Its well documented in my history that previous doctor had tried what she tried. Following the previous reaction, my old doctor listened to me and put me back on my ADHD drugs with something to help me sleep on stressful nights. I explained to the doctor that I get anxious when I get overwhelmed. She still wanted to write the SSRI and a bridge of klonopins. She didnt seem to care despite how obvious it was that I was afraid of SSRIs. I am a single mom, and I couldnt afford the side effects I had previously with the drugs. My blood pressure was extremely high. She suggested going to the hospital. Again, I am a single mom with two kids and working a demanding job.I dont have time for that. Took my entire payment though. Waste of $125. After reading the bios, I think it is really strange that they have so many nationalities working in this clinic. Strange vibes.

Worst office ever!!!Great Doctor but the inmates are running the place!!Too many rules and God forbid you dont do what the nurse practitionersays...Shell cut you off and make you come back because she can!!!!!

When I first started seeing Dr. Pukis I was very pleased with him and his staff. As time passed, I started seeing Barbara, a nurse practioner and was really pleased with her. When Barbara was moved to the Madison office, I followed her there. Have been so pleased with her and Dr. Mbuko. I went in last week to see Dr. Mbuko and after I got there was told that I would see Barbara that Dr. Mbuko wasnt there anymore and that the Madison office was closing down at the end of the year. Was anyone going to let the patients know about this? Such a shock! So, it looks like my choice now will be to go to the Huntsville office and see Dr. Pukis (when hes available) or see the nurse practioner working in his office or find a new doctor. I am so disappointed this had happened. Barbara is such a compassionate, thorough, and most knowledgeable nurse practitioner I have ever seen. She may take up more time with her patients but medical judgements cannot be rushed in making the right diagnosis. Rushing with a patient can make matters worse. I know from experience: A few weeks ago (on a Saturday morning) I was sick and had to go to the Huntsville office. The nurse practioner treated me for an upper respiratory infection (spent less than 5 mins with me - told me her plan for me without examining my chest). If I had not asked her if she was going to listen to my chest, dont believe she would have. Anyway, I didnt get any better, got worse. On Friday after Thanksgiving, I tried to get in the HSV office and was told they didnt have any openings, that they could see me on Monday. Then I called the Hampton Cove office and was told they were filled up and couldnt take anymore appointments. Suggested I go to an Urgent Care. I went to an Urgent Care and was told I had pneumonia. The doctor at Urgent Care told me if i had been treated with the right medication and amount of medication, that I wouldnt have gotten pneumonia.I know this is a long post but I am so disappointed in this situation!

Staff is always so nice with me, and most visits I am in and out in 20 mins. Dr. Pukis listens to my complaints and always tries to fix it.

Very very very unprofessional in the office!! The office supervisor dicharged me and told me I could NEVER come back to this office all because I was concerned about my health and was not getting the proper answers. She talked to me like I was her child. Everyone in the office apologized and was really in shock. I most definitely will NOT be back to this office. Stacey McCoy is extremely rude and beyond unprofessional.

Needs to go back to medical school. I told him I have a neurological disorder called Dysautonomia and he said he didnt know what that was. He may not know how to treat it but should most definitely know what it is. If you want to live dont choose him as your doctor. The staff is also very rude.

Just want to put it out there if anybody ever told you to go to this doctor do not do it he is a total quack and as we waited in his office over an hour for my Dads appointment a man and his family entered and proceeded to tell everyone in there that this doctor had misdiagnosed his lung cancer he now had stage 4 lung cancer an estimated 6 months to live and the doctor wouldnt even speak to him he accused my 67 year old father who has congestive heart failure diabetes and COPD of being drug seeking and refused to write his prescriptions even for medicines he requires for his congestive heart failure it is a total joke and I wouldnt trust him to treat my worst enemy please repost this so that the word gets out and people do not go see this quack in a box I plan on reporting him to the medical board

Dr. Pukis is a great doctor and he has a wonderful staff!!

Dr. Pukis has given me hope in the medical profession. I happen to live with chronic pain and COPD. When I end up in the hospital with a serious flare in the pain he does everything and anything to help get it back under control. Hes my hero.
