The front office staff is great. They are efficient & kind. The wait times are long so expect to wait 1-2 hours. But most OBGYN offices are the same. Ive only met with the NursePractioner each timeI go so I can only speak of my experience w/her. She has a good bed side manner. However, when asked if I was vaccinated for covid vaccine and I say yes, she took it upon herself to remove my mask from my face and say; You dont need that we are both vaccinated. I prefer to have the choice of wearing my mask or not. I hope the office staff reads this and explains to her it is inappropriate for her to remove someone mask.

I went in today for my 16 weeks appt. I am four months pregnant. I was told on the phone by the billing manager that they would work with me AFTER birth for payments, that I planned on paying. I didn’t have a full payment today, so they turned me down, at 16 weeks pregnant. I stated multiple times that I could make payments, but it couldn’t be $464 every single time I came into the office for my prenatal appts. They wanted a full payment of $2,650 by 34 weeks. This is a DOCTORS OFFICE that is suppose to help patients. What a poor excuse of an establishment.

Such a wonderful office to take care of any of your OB/GYN needs. From the front desk to the clinical staff, this office is top notch. Caitlin Edgmon, CRNP took time to speak with me about all my concerns. I never once felt rushed and felt valued as a patient. I felt completely comfortable discussing my health with her and her staff. She is bright, friendly, and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend her and their entire office!

Pros: this doctor’s office was able to get me in quicker than any other medical office in the area; the medical staff from nurse to doctor had excellent bed side manner; they gave samples & tried to keep the cost low & necessary; they always answer their phones & were polite; nicely decorated waiting areaCons: there was confusion with billing: I paid for the doctor’s visit, the medication, & the labs-thought at least some of this was included in the drs fee ($300 cost total); last name was spelled wrong at the actual drs visit & now when I get the bill my first name was spelled wrong; though doable, I did not care particularly for the office window staff-kind of a nice nasty/hurry up & get you out of their hair/I’m just here collecting a check/doing just enough to get by/not very informative/what do you want me to do about it-attitude; though I had an appointment it was an hour to two hours before I was seen; I finally had to get up & ask a time estimation of how much longer it would be; social distancing was a challenge as the place became packed & I didn’t see sanitation of the waiting area as patients cycled in & out & there were patients not wearing their masks in the waiting area

Dr. Aguayo was exceedingly accommodating to my husband and I during the birth of our youngest child, two years ago. Im pretty bossy when Im laboring, and she respected my wishes as long as they were reasonable. Im grateful to her for being patient with me, and for allowing me to have a natural birth with no pressure to speed things up. During prenatal care, I saw her about 50% of the visits, and another staff member the other times (thats typical for the medical model). The wait times were not long. She is a fantastic doctor.

Dr. Aguayo delivered my firstborn son in March of this year. She was wonderful throughout my whole pregnancy and delivery. Very knowledgeable and doesn’t play around. She takes her job very seriously, gets it done, and doesn’t budge on her expectations for the delivery nurses. I have a lot of respect for her. We even moved an hour and a half away six months into my pregnancy and still decided to drive to Huntsville to continue seeing Dr. Aguayo. Staff was also very helpful during my pregnancy. They went above and beyond to help with some billing issues because I had an insurance change halfway through.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aguayo for years. I think she and her staff are wonderful. I feel confident about labor and delivery, and I really am not bothered by the new no doula policy. To each their own, I guess. This place works great for me and Im happy to put my trust in them. There are tons of other options for those that dont feel this way!

I love the whole office staff and Dr. Aguayo. They are friendly, smart and efficient. You don’t have to wait forever to be seen but you also don’t feel rushed if you have specific concerns/questions. I’ve been a client for 9 years and seen CRNPs Megan and Beth most of the time.

This office has filled with fabulous people! Dr. Aguayo is very friendly and takes time to listen and address her patients concerns. Her NP Teubert is my favorite! Although Dr. Aguayo was not able to deliver our baby, I felt well cared for during my pregnancy and well thought of during my postpartum phase!

Stay far away! This OBGYN (Dr. Edith Aguayo) does not support birthing women’s autonomy. She also does not respect the birthing team that you put together. She doesn’t respect studies done that prove better outcomes with the assistance of a doula. She forbids anyone to have a doula or labor support/advocate. This is leaving a laboring woman feeling even more vulnerable than one already does. This practice compromises patient safety, comfort and best practices. Do your research, know your rights. Know that if this is something you are not comfortable with you can fire her. You hired her. You can fire her. You deserve someone who respects you at your best and at your worst. You need a team that is supportive. Not one that has only their best interests at heart. This is not the be all end all.

Not respectful of womens choices and refuses to allow women to have doulas support despite CDC recommendations and ACOG recommendations for doulas support

So here’s the thing, I never actually met Dr. Aguayo. Everytime I went in, I saw the nurse practitioner. I went in October for my yearly visit, but in November, I had to go back because I had an ovarian cyst rupture. I was told it would probably be fine. I was back in December because another ruptured. On my December visit, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t get myself on the table. Megan then told me she thought I had endometriosis. She also told me my only two options were birth control or pregnancy. When I told her I didn’t want to be on BC, she told me to try to get pregnant and call back with either a positive or in 6 months when nothing happened. After 3 more months of being in pain EVERY. SINGLE. DAY, I called another GYN in town. Within 10 minutes she had a laparoscopic surgery scheduled for the next week. Turns out I DID have endometriosis and it was prettt bad.I say all of that not to accuse them of being bad doctors, but to say they brushed me off when I had a pretty big issue.

My first and last visit today: I attempted to use the online patient portal to enter my information, but it would not update. I arrived early to have time for new patient paperwork. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, I asked the office clerk how much longer I should expect to wait and is it typical to be this far behind schedule. Her response was there is another patient ahead of you. You have to wait until they are done. And it is a doctors office so this is normal. They have a strict policy including fees for tardiness and missed appointments. I expected a better attitude with regards to scheduling. Furthermore, the attitude of the office staff was not even apologetic for their obvious scheduling issue. I realize an OB/GYN will have schedule delays due to deliveries and emergencies but my appointment was with the nurse practitioner, rather than Dr Aguayo. I politely asked for my paperwork back and informed her that I would not be waiting any longer. If that is what I can expect from future visits, I will continue my search for a new physician.

After a horrible experience somewhere else, Dr. Aguayo was a fresh breathe. She listened and talked to me and went over my options in detail. After surgery, she was concerned and attentive. I had complications with the anesthesia, but she was with me the extra days in the hospital. Her staff has been wonderful to work with as well. I would recommend Dr Aguayo to anyone looking for an OB/GYN.
