Luminous took 4 1/2 months to get us results on our daughters testing. After a full day of testing, hundreds of questions and every result showing below average, the diagnosis was one sentence long- your daughter does not have Autism. I cannot begin to fathom the ineptitude of this place, and the lack of caring about the phoned-in answer is equally stunning. When I questioned the doctor about the lack of diagnosis, she had the audacity to tell me to ask my pediatrician, like she wasnt the technical expert! I would never recommend that you waste your time with this company- the work done is borderline fraudulent.

I am so happy I found Luminous! Josh is really helping me navigate some tough stuff. He is kind and very understanding. The office staff is also amazing! They making billing to insurance seamless, and scheduling appointments effortless.I have switched all three of my children from the NOVA center to Luminous and we are starting our family counseling there in a couple weeks.This is definitely a 5 star therapy facility!

I read a lot of reviews for counselors who specialize in PTSD for my son who is a Marine and Police Officer and finally decided to give these folks a call. He called them to make an appointment (he and I were on speaker phone) only to have the phone answered by a female who was not only rude but completely disinterested and was clearly bothered by the phone call shown by her heavy sighs and the tone of voice. This phone call lasted all but a minute or two. He was nothing but respectful, as always, so am baffled by the sheer disregard shown by this woman to those whom her employer pays her to be the first contact for their patients. Shameful!If the above werent off putting enough he was told that (in the same annoyed tone) that there is a ten week waiting period just to be put on the waiting list. What the... ?? Had this woman not been so uncaring and rude who knows, maybe the wait would be worth it. We will never know. It is extremely disappointing when a person who needs help and tries to find help is treated with disrespect and made to feel to be nothing more than an annoyance at a facility where its claim is to help those in need with PTSD.

I wont be going back. I went for two sessions a with Josh and both times didnt feel very good about it. On my third session when I showed up he was arguing with someone, a wife or girlfriend, on the phone and asked if we could start really late. After that I received a bill for an additional $100 dollars and just really didnt feel comfortable as I am a cash paying patient and pay in person every time so if they were going to charge more they should have just said so up front. After hearing Josh argue on the phone for over 10 minutes I dont think I would want to tell him about what is going on any longer. He even vapes in the office with you 🤢.

I only have personal experience with Ms Ashley and she is absolutely amazing. She included me in every visit my daughter had with her and made sure to do her best to help my daughter out with any issues she was having. All the other counselors in the practiced seemed very sweet when I spoke to them in passing as well.

My son has been seeing Ashley for about a year now and we absolutely love her! She keeps me informed of everything thats going on with him and gives me helpful advice to better parent my son. I dont know what we would do without her!!

I was very impressed with the staff and especially my counselor Josh I have suffered with anxiety for yrs. He is like no counselor I have ever had he opened my eyes a lot his technique is way different and I feel he knows what he’s doing He makes me feel comfortable you would benefit from his counseling

My daughter met with Arica Havis today and we absolutely loved her. My daughter doesn’t open up or talk to anyone she doesn’t know and she warmed up to Arica almost immediately. We can’t wait to have our biweekly sessions with her. HIGHLY recommend Luminous Counseling!

Dr. Havis is wonderful. My daughter really likes her, and they get along great. Dr. Havis understands, my sweet Rose, and 8s always patient with her. The staff there is understanding and is kind in all aspects. I am glad my Rose goes to Luminous. They even do telehealth if something comes up. They obviously know 2hat they are doing and love helping children, no matter the challenges. And more results show each week.

In the midst of a pandemic, our son was diagnosed with autism. While we’re still trying to figure it out, our interactions with Ashley, and Mrs. Reyna have been nothing less than exceptional! We love them and would HIGHLY recommend!

My daughter has been going to counseling for about 5 months. She sees Ashley. My daughter is a lot better because of the talks with Ashley. She is nice and kind.

I have been seeing Joshua Howell for about six months now. He is a wonderful, caring therapist. I appreciate his approach to healing from childhood trauma and MST and the different methods he has used to help me, including EMDR.

The absolute worse counseling experience I have ever witnessed. Rude to my child, I feel like it was a complete miss on my concerns for my child. My child cried and begged for me to take her home and was so mentally drained from the experience she could not Function the rest of the day. She has asked me repeatedly to not take her back to that place.

We love, love, LOVE Ms. Ashley but their 48 hour cancellation rule is very challenging and sometimes annoying.

First visit I was off-put but has been more helpful than any therapist me (or my wife) has see. Hes not someone who will just validate your feelings but rather help you work through them and help you take responsibility of your life.

Today it was my first meeting and my experience was he was not very caring. They ask for a credit card which is kind of a red flag and also suggested me to book as many appointments as possible on a weekly basis.He did not schedule anything nor shook my hand when i left. Honestly, I did not feel the empathy or the caring that someone battling mental illness really need.

Joshua is an amazing councilor, the first one I have been to that I feel like he acutely cares about my mental health.

This is such a scam. Have you noticed that all his reviews are by pros? They will ask for all your private info including a credit card and then they hang up and not call you again. Beware.
