I always have amazing experiences at this establishment. Not only do they care immensely about the outcome of their work, but about how you feel about it. The atmosphere they have created is unlike any place I’ve ever been. They are free spirited and so so welcoming. I have the best time when I’m here and they make sure I’m leaving happy. These pictures are from my last visit, yesterday. I LOVE it and couldn’t have asked for better service or outcome.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is. Went in for the very first time yesterday for a color correction ( my previous color job was beyond HORRIBLE). And she worked a MIRACLE!!!! It looks absolutely fabulous!!! She definitely has a new customer for life. My hair was literally ORANGE. And no. Not by choice. It was supposed to be blonde. I thought it was beyond fixable. But she did it. It looks beautiful!! Many many thanks. And the haircut is wonderful as well !

Great haircut and color. Took way too long (4hrs) and was way more expensive than I have ever paid! $280 for haircut and low lights! My hair is medium length and fairly thin. Will not be back.

These random recent one star reviews are being placed by people who have never visited this location and are screeching because they lack the self awareness to realize that not everyone has to agree with them. Dont let these one star reviews turn you off to this place.

I ABSOLUTELY love this place. Everytime i go in, Jeanne and her daughter Ciara make me feel like family, maybe its because we oddly have the same last name, weird I know....Jeanne is always so attentive when it comes to what I want and she has a GREAT eye for being able to give a modern, fashionable, up to date hairstyle that will make you feel and look 10 years younger . One thing i would say tough, prepare yourself to spend more than an hour there if its your first time, she is very detail oriented and a perfectionist when it comes to her getting the look that your happy with (something places like Cuts by Us, and Super Cuts could care less about) Jeanne is really the kind of stylist that will go above and beyond to make sure youre happy. She once explained it to me this way if i let you walk out of here with your hair looking drab or basic then thats bad advertisement for me! I can go on for a while about how much i enjoy my visits to Attitudes but i wont ;) if youre looking for a great style, great company and maybe even an impromptu therapy session, go visit Jeanne and Ciara...you wont regret it!!

I am so sad writing this review but I had a terrible experience at Attitudes. There are so many things I could highlight but the main thing is I received the worst hair cut I have ever gotten. I am honestly confused by all the wonderful reviews because even though Jeanne claims she has been cutting hair for decades, she had absolutely no idea what she was doing and butchered my hair. She did the opposite of what I requested and at the end said I know we were going to do this but I didn’t want to. I went in for a simple trim, no layers and left with 6 inches gone and layers upon layers and side bangs. Not to mention it took 3 hours. Never in my life has a trim taken 3 hours. Apart from my hair, the place was a mess with previous customers hair still on the floor, random things all over the place, the brush she used on me looked like it was 20 years old. The level of unprofessionalism is something I have never experienced. From having me sit at the sink for 30 minutes while she talked to a lady to leaving mid appointment to talk to her granddaughter to forgetting my name and asking what it was 3 times throughout the appointment. Also she asked if I wanted to keep my sweatshirt on and I said yes and then said that she couldn’t be able to cut it with the collar and made me change into a bathrobe that she had in the back. Also, I have gotten my hair done many times and would not consider myself tender-headed but I left the appointment with my head aching, and when I got in my car I cried. There are so many other things I could say, but in the end, just know I will never go here again and neither should you.

I moved to Huntsville a year ago and then Covid hit. A few months ago I felt it was ok to finally get my hair cut. I found this great little salon in Five Points and made an appointment. Jeanne, the owner, cut and colored my hair and the results were amazing. I just had my hair done for the second time and I have to say I’ve never received so many compliments! I’ve already booked my next two appointments.

Outstanding Salon! As a customer of Attitudes for the past three years I consider Attitudes the best salon I ever have found in the Huntsville area. Owner Jeanne Shrader and her assistant Brandie Rogers are not only talented at what they do, but they provide a wonderful experience. Forget the fast paced, noisy environment of your typical salon. Attitudes is located in a charming 100-year old church building and when I arrive for my appointment, I feel more like a guest in Jeanne’s home than in a salon. The atmosphere is always very friendly, quiet and relaxing. Jeanne and Brandie keep me comfortable all throughout my appointment. And the styling! Jeanne is a real artist and I have received many compliments on her work. She devotes a lot attention to her client and is very meticulous with details. Both Jeanne and Brandie are highly regarded in their areas. As a member of the local fashion scene, I know that Jeanne is renowned as a licensed instructor in hair extensions and she does a lot of work for fashion shows, models and brides. She also trained Brandie who is certified in eyelash extensions. The salon also offers a wide range of other services including make-up, manicures and massages. Attitudes is a salon with the right attitude. Ladies and gentlemen, try out Attitudes. I can assure you will look and feel a lot better after your appointment than you did going in. And you’ll be back!

This place is HORRIBLE!! Hands down the worst experience at a salon I have ever had! Jeanie cut my layers so short, that I had to wear my hair in pony tail until it grew out. I showed her a picture of my hair from the past, she did not give me the color that was in the picture, admitting to me that she did not, she still charged me for the colors. I was there for 6 hours!! She pasted me from girl to girl, who were absolutely unprofessional! After admitting to me that she did not give me what I asked for, and keeping me there all day, she then charged me... $400.00!!! An absolute night mare!! *Edit* to your response, it took you 8 years to respond.... You absolutely did my hair, once. That’s all it took to never come back. And I still think it was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

A nightmare posing as a Day Spa!!Three days prior to hairstyle appointment a face-to-face hair consultation with Ms. Jeanne Shrader was completed and a firm agreement about the type of haircut, hair color and price was confirmed.I arrived for my appointment on the agreed upon date and time, I sat down and a hair color was placed on my hair. Shortly after this I was told that I had not arrived at the agreed upon day and time and she would have to fit me in. I could not leave now since my hair was full of color but I should have.During my 8 hours stay in the salon different people were running back and forth working on other’s hair and mine. There was constant bickering between Ms. Shrader and her employees. Different color preparations were placed on my hair sometimes by Ms. Shrader’s daughter, who I am not even sure is licensed to style hair, because Ms. Shrader said it was the wrong color as well as continuing to cut away at my hair.After eight hours in the salon and experiencing all this drama and wondering about how my finished hairstyle had turned out I was so frustrated I just wanted to get out of the salon.My dissatisfaction is with the haircut, the final color and the long-term damage done to my hair, which was confirmed by other hair stylists; these stylists have helped to repair the terrible cut and color which may take over a year to return to baseline.I realized that the cut and color was not what Ms. Shrader had promised after arriving home, which has caused severe stress and anxiety, as well as the charge was much higher then the original quote.

Hands down, BEST hair salon, Jeanne and Ciara FANTASTIC
