Both of my parents reside at Thrive at Jones Farm. One parent is in Assisted Living the other in Memory Care. I cannot begin to express just how happy I am with the care my parents are receiving. The nursing staff is wonderful. They keep me up-to-date on my parents health, lab work, and general health. They are quick to have them seen by the CRNP or doctor when needed. They have called for x-rays, sonogram and lab work that was all able to be done without leaving the building. They take my parents health and wellness seriously. The Personal Care Assistants are very good at their jobs and go the second mile. One of my dads Care Assistants goes as far as making sure to write down for him all the Univ. of Tennessee games, what time and channel they are on so he never misses a game. I also appreciate all the activities and opportunities they have for socializing with other residents. From the red carpet that was rolled out when they arrived to the holiday celebrations to celebrating National Donut Day, there is always fun in the air. I truly believe that my parents receive the very best care possible.

Rachael , Jessica & all the staff have been so supportive helping us through the transition. My mom has been there since February & she has been living her best life! It’s so comforting to know she is has a safe ,comfortable place to live in. She enjoys the meals, all the activities & making new friends. She hasn’t been this happy is years! Thrive has been the biggest blessing as I decided to move my loved one to assisted living. Their open communication, intentional care and loving community helps to ease my worry and reassure me that this was the best next step. I can clearly see the positive impact that the environment at Thrive continues to make on my loved one’s day-to-day and overall standard of living.

I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities for the past 12 years. I have seen many different guests in many different homes. When I walk in at Thrive I see the guests interacting with each other sitting outside on the benches, walking on the sidewalks in front of the building, eating together, in activities and devotions together. And I rarely see someone that isnt smiling and welcoming me into their home and community. All of the guests that speak about the food always brag on it and talk about how good it is. The facility is beautiful. The care specialists, nurses, housekeeping, dietary and even maintenance are always so willing to help the guests and their friends and family that come to visit. I have to say that every place has room for improvement but it is not evident even while here on a day to day basis. I very much enjoy being part of the team at Thrive. The guests make me happy to be here and it would be hard for them to do that if they werent happy being here.

Leadership with Donna Olsen heading it up will never be good. She has job hopped all over town and continues to speak poorly about her previous teams and facilities. When she left Thrive the first time she had nothing nice to say about Thrive. Shocked that she is back there now with all the negative comments that were made. She continues to make scathing remarks about her team, residents and their families. This is disheartening.

The care specialists I work with are wonderful and so good with the residents. The activities team keeps the residents busy and active, they are amazing!! I would recommend Thrive to everyone. I’m so blessed they chose me to help take care of our precious residents❤️❤️

My mom has been a resident at Thrive in the Woodlands for going on 2 years. She was a resident at another memory care place in Huntsville before we moved her to Thrive when it opened. Comparably speaking, the care that she receives at Thrive is far greater than where she lived before. They communicate better with us, they find ways to accomplish daily task with my mom like grooming, bathing, etc. whereas before, she never was bathed and we never really knew what was going on with her. Is Thrive perfect, no, because there is no perfect place, but the care specialists genuinely love, care for, and respect my mom and the other residents that live there. I have witnessed this because I am there every week!

My mom has been here since September 2018. She was in assisted living to begin with but since February has moved to Memory care. The facility is very nice inside. My mom was happier in AL. Staff in AL were more engaging. In Memory Care I see too many people on their phones. Moms room is nice and the Memory Care is large enough with 2 different common areas and when the weather is nice the residents have free access to the courtyard which is nice. The last place my mom was at they had to be let outside by staff. Mom seems contented enough that I wouldn’t move her.

I don’t have much experience with the facility itself but I overheard a conversation of a woman speaking about her staff and I was truly appalled. I did have to research in order to find out where she was talking about but with social media today it is not hard to find out such information. Her name was Donna Olsen and she went on with such negative comments which included degrading her staffs intelligence, their skills and how she could do everything so much better. Such high praise for herself and disrespect for her staff. A true leader would not ever do this to the people that truly do the work. She also mentioned how exhausting it is to deal with families of the residents because they were not smart enough to understand COVID-19. I would never consider Thrive as an option for my parents if she were the one at the helm. Truly horrified at her disrespect and disregard for people.

Id like to take just a second and write about Thrive at Jones Farm. First I have over 10 years of experience as a nurse and family practitioner with a primary focus in geriatrics. I currently work with our physician to see our patients that reside in many facilities around our community. I have a passion for what I do and look to facilities to have the same mind set when providing care for my patients. Thrive has an ample staff that truly care for what they do. I am always greeted with a smile each time I go, and the caregivers/nurses want to be involved in the decisions that effect their residents. No assisted living or memory care is without problems, but Thrive truly tries to have a patient focused approach with safety and care at the forefront. I would have no issue in using Thrive at Jones Farm as an option for my parents personally. Thanks so much,Josh Barnes CRNP

This place is one of the most unorganized buildings I have ever seen. I felt as if my family member was not cared for. There are never any interesting activities going on, the rooms are filthy, and staff is anything but professional. Your family member is better off staying in the comfort of their own home and getting a couple of sitters to stay with them throughout the week.

I am involved with Thrive as the daughter of a resident and an employee. My mom has dementia. When searching for a new place for her to live, my siblings and I found Thrive. We reserved a room before the building was ever finished. As I was searching one night to see how they would hire people to take care of my mom, I watched a video of Jeramy Ragsdale talking about his vision for senior living. I was Wowed! We knew we we wanted our mom to live at Thrive. As I was searching the website, I saw my job and God spoke to me leading me to apply for this job. How awesome is it that a company hires the daughter of a resident? I cannot say enough about the awesome care that my mom as well as all the other residents receive each and every day. I love this “retirement job”, I love the residents and their families and I love each team member. Are we perfect? Well not yet.....but we strive each day to provide our residents with the most exceptional care possible. I love everything about Thrive. And my mom, well in the year she has been here, she is certainly is Thriving.

This place is a disgrace. From top to bottom. Leadership is a joke. Corporate is even worse and you can’t even reach them directly. Keep your family far away from this place. Warning: they will sell you on their values and unique approach to senior living care but is a bunch of garbage. Again, stay far away. They don’t care about helping people from their residents to their employees. From leadership of the business office, corporate, and everything in between = incompetence and they are incapable of achieving the mission they state and will sell to you.BEWARE my friends.

Senior living like youve never seen before is the right slogan for this place. Ive never seen such a train wreck of a facility in my life.Nurses are treated better than Care Specialists here. They also allow nurses to disrespect care specialists and talk to them any kind of way. Is anything done about it? No.They blame all of their problems on employees when its MANAGEMENT. Heres an example; A resident moved out of Memory Care and management tried to blame a housekeeper, but in all honesty the residents son told me out of his own mouth that they were moving their family member because of the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR!! The Executive Director doesnt care about anything. She has nothing to do with memory care residents. She doesnt even walk the facility everyday to at least lay eyes on the place shes running into the ground. At the beginning everyone seemed friendly and caring (oh we prayed over all you guys, they even had fake tears in their eyes) but once the building was completed everything changed. Managers walk past you in the hall and wont acknowledge you. (They will however speak to you when they need a shift filled). They say theyre focused on people and not money thats a LIE!! The managers have little to no interaction with memory care residents. Staff is often short and managers dont offer to assist with anything (except the woodlands director) but they will complain about everything not knowing what caregivers and some nurses/med techs have to deal with on a day to day basis. They also lie to get new employees in the door. On multiple occasions new hires have said that they were lied to in orientation by management.Of course favortism plays a huge role here. The Health and wellness Director is a bully and picks on certain caregivers and she seems to have something against people of color. (I can say that the Business Office Manager, Woodlands Coordinator, Kitchen Manager and Front Desk Manager treated everyone fairly). The turnover for both regular employees and management is horribly high. (They are currently on their 3rd health and wellness director, 2nd marketing person, 2nd Kitchen manager, and 5th plant manager). The Managers are very unprofessional. They talk bad about current employees while doing orientation for new employees. (The Health and Wellness Director)There is zero communication here. Ive worked at numerous facilities and this by far is the worst. I toughed it out because I thought they would improve and get over the rough patch. Its been 2 years of a rough patch and nothing has changed. This place is very much like a prison like the previous reviews said. There is no morale here at all. Thrive has major issues: Bugs, rats, and residents rooms dont have hot water.Memory Care residents are treated different. They have the same breakfast every morning. The food sucks, and they are constantly running out of food for them. (See the pics to see what kind of meals they are served). Theyve created 2 new positions when they should be worried about getting a bigger budget for meals. They dont care about workers nor residents. If you have a member of your family living in this facility please pay close attention to them and if youre thinking about working here heres my advice: DONT. The best thing about this place is Restore Therapy.

I have to tell someone about the madness because the supervisors or Director is not listening. This facility is scamming people out of their money. They promise the elderly that they can accommodate them and their needs but they fail (EPICALLY). Management will walk pass you in the hall and will not acknowledge your existence, until they need you to fill a shift for them. They elderly are locked in, and when they ask management to go somewhere they are denied. They cant even get fresh air. The workers are called spoiled, and not appreciate.Management will talk about the employees like a dog but when confronted, they back peddle. They claim to be women of GOD but honey GOD is not evil!!! In closing avoid this place as a resident and a place of employment.

This is the worse ran location of them all. Go with other facilities already here that offer more including space and amenities. They are a disgrace compared to the other locations. The leaders are racist and bias. They dont follow rules and operate out of personal feelings. They deal with black employees differently than they do non blacks when in fact black people are coming in working the hardest not feeling entitled or running off entitlement. They genuinely only care about money. There isnt a drop of compassion for those residents or the families. They fail to provide them proper care and are teamed with a doctor that does not care and not affective. They let residents fall over and over regardless of state rules and regulations. Nurses dont document correctly nor give proper meds to proper residents. Nurses have even thrown away med packs with meds in them which is a HIPPA violation and unsafe for the residents. Its not a place to speak highly on. Not much good to say other than its a new facility but its cheap. One resident stated she heard that were talking about raising rent on them because of repairs. They have failed to fill up this place in a years time and thats because God doesnt bless evil doing. Please do not send your loved one there. Your money is being wasted tremendously from meds(they destroy and order more)to food(they throw away extra food that the RESIDENTS paid for instead of giving it to them and charge them for a room tray when theyve already paid for the food so the family pays twice and the staff delivering the food DOES NOT see it).Youre welcome! 😊
