This was my first time. The staff was friendly and Dr. Nguyen was very thorough and respectful with all my questions. As someone who works with the geriatric population, I was pleased with how the staff maintained their COVID protocol to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. I can tell this office not only cares about the well-being of their own staff but of their patients as well. Will definitely come again next year. Thank you for the excellent service!

This is the best doctors office I’ve ever been to. The staff is kind and the Dr. Nguyen was so knowledgeable. She helped me understand my condition and how to fix it.

Very professional yet friendly from the get go. The associates at the front desk were friendly and thoroughly put me through a series of digital eye tests. Then the doctor put my eyes through their paces. She then explained all the tests and made recommendations. She answered all my questions and was very personable. I liked my previous eye doctor, but this practice was even more awesome.

Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and patient. Dr. Nguyen and her entire team are wonderful. Thank you for all you’ve done for my family over the years.

I had LASIK done 4 years ago, and today I went in for my annual eye exam. The whole team was very friendly. Stephanie performed some preliminary measurements and scans of my eyes and then Dr. Nguyen dilated my eyes and did some more tests. They both were very knowledgeable and I appreciate that they educated me on what they were doing. They also seemed to be following all the latest safety precautions. I have no complaints!

Cowardly staff. I was taking my daughter in for a kindergarten registration eye appt, and was refused to come to the appointment because I had my 7 year old son as well. My childcare fell through for him and I was unable to find anyone else. When I called to speak to the doctor, I was told she was with another patient and unavailable to speak to me during my appointment time. Sounds more like avoiding a conversation with me than too busy to speak to me.I understand Covid risks and procedures, but if the entire school district can open up for children with the proper procedures, we’re all sanitized and masked entering the building, what difference does it make if there are 2 or 3 of us from the same household? My son is going to have the same germs as my daughter, and they’re allowing her in the building. Apparently they don’t really need my business, and they certainly won’t ever be getting it.

Worst experience ever. They make you wake outside in the rain even when you have a appointment already. I don’t recommend this place just by calling they make you feel uncomfortable.

Dr.. Nguyen and her staff are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond what most places would go. I have a medical condition which requires many visits to ensure that the fit and prescription is correct. The doctor did not rush me through the visit but took her time to ensure it was correct. The staff researched my insurance to ensure that my benefits were applied correctly to give me the best price. The doctor also worked with my kids to make sure their prescription and fit for their glasses were perfect. I will be using this doctor and practice for all long as she is in business.

This place cant even code a Medicare claim properly plus you have to wait outside for your appointment

Staff is friendly, Dr. Nguyen is thorough. I asked for one courtesy pair of contact lenses to get me through December as my contact lenses are very sensitive and tear prior to 30-days of use, and Im not due for an exam until January. Dr. Nguyen refused to give me a courtesy pair because I was told I was over-using my lenses. I was told I could buy a box of 6, which I wont do because my prescription will change in January, as I had explained. As an RN on a COVID unit, I am working 16-hour shifts and more over-time than I ever thought I would. So yes, Im probably over-using my contacts, whatever that even means. So, thank you Dr. Nguyen from one healthcare provider to another. I will not be returning. I get service just as good from Lenscrafters, who have happily provided me with a courtesy pair of lenses in the past. Its unfortunate that here in the US, I cant walk into a pharmacy and purchase contact lenses without a prescription, unlike everywhere else in the world.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Nguyen for over 6 years. I love that the office is small and family based. Very happy she moved into the Huntley downtown area. Her staff is fantastic and always so hopeful and friendly. Our whole family gets our annuals here. I feel that we get great personal care and get all our questions answered. She also has some great technology options for addl eye checks. She uncovered an eye bleed due to my unmonitored blood pressure. Once I got that taken care of she was able to confirm the eye bleed had resolved. I recommend her anytime anyone asks for an eye doctor!!

I was very pleased with the service at Huntley Eye Care. From staff to Dr. Mindy, they are very professional. They will inform you of what you need to know regarding your eye care. The place is very clean and organized. Highly recommended for your eye care need.

Staff is super friendly, and the doctor is very knowledgeable. I have been wearing contacts for about 15 years and previously had always gone to chains like Sams or Visionworks. After going here, my contact prescription is the clearest its ever been. Shes great at explaining the why behind the issues Ive had in the past with my eyes too. Very happy I chose to go here, and plan to continue for as long as I live in the area.I cant really comment on price as my contacts are super expensive no matter where I go due to my astigmatism, but I really like that they offered a 10% discount for purchasing a years supply - nowhere else Ive gone has offered that.

Dr. Nguyen is a really caring doctor with a super friendly staff. If you want a quality exam, this is the place to go. Ive never been disappointed here. They take good care of their patients.

This doctor needs to go back to school. Her attitude is arrogant and her ability to prescribe is limited. After seeing another doctor in Elgin, and getting proper care and diagnosis, I was able to see how incompetent she is.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mindy Nguyen for many years. I work in healthcare and know that not every doctor is pleasant, knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to take time to explain things to patients. Lucky for me, Dr. Nguyen has all of these traits. Also, her office has a lot of high tech equipment, and I always get a thorough exam when Im there. Dr. Nguyen is always pleasant and takes time to explain everything to me. Her office staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful.I have read some other reviews with complaints about purchasing glasses here. Yes, glasses from an optometrist office cost more than Walmart, or any other superstore. However, after every annual eye exam, I am given my prescription for eye glasses. (You are also emailed a patient portal where you can print it out as well). I have the option to get a pair of glasses from her office, or at any other store. It is the patients choice, so if cost is an issue for some, you have the option of getting glasses elsewhere.But as far as getting a thorough eye exam, from a friendly doctor, this is the place you want to go. The office is also super clean, and I never wait more than a couple of minutes. I highly recommend Mindy and her staff. See you again next year.Tom P.

This place should be closed down! They never checked my prescription before my glasses were ready to come in and they took 6 months! Yes... 6 Months for my glasses to come in. When they DID come in the prescription was wrong and when I asked them about getting the right prescription they acted like they were in a hurry and they said it was my fault that my glasses were not right. Since I have been here I have heard from many many people in Huntley about just how bad this outfit really is and if you have any marbles, you will find a reputable eye care place to spend your money at.I cannot stress this enough. You will be sorry you ever knew these people if you deal with them. Furthermore if you have medicaid then they will treat you like yesterdays trash.I cannot recommend this outfit at all and it is best that you DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. You were warned.
