I wasnt the biggest fan of this gym to start - but after trying to cancel my membership, I decided to write a warning review to anyone who wants to sign up here. When I initially joined this gym, I had let the sales representative know that I would be cancelling once my primary gym had opened back up due to existing COVID restrictions. I asked if this would be an issue and whether I would have any restrictions to cancelling my membership whenever this happened, and I was assured this wouldnt be an issue. I was told that I would have to pay the first and last months membership up front, and that this would have me covered for an additional month after cancelling my membership - a standard procedure I didnt have any issue with. So - once LA fitness opened back up, I went in to cancel my membership, didnt have any issue, and didnt think anything of it. I checked my bank statement a month or so later and found out they had charged me an additional 2 months of memberships. When I called in to ask why - I was told that I needed to give 30 DAYS notice before cancelling my membership - something that should have been covered when I already paid first AND last month upon signing up. The staff at the front is great, and very friendly. Thats about all of the positives I have to say about this gym. Theyre after your money - lack in communication, and arent honest about their fees when you sign up. After reading others reviews, it appears that this company has scammed others out of hundreds of dollars. The only way I would rescind this review is to get a refund for the two months that I was incorrectly charged - but have already been assured this wouldnt happen over the phone.

Great gym! Very welcoming! Every time you walk in you are greeted with a smile. Amina always takes his time help everyone no matter how busy she is. Shes been a great addition to the gym. She makes everyone around her a better with his positive attitude. I have 24 hour fitness a lot closer to me but chose Fitness 19. Thank you for the great experience.

I’ve seen the growth of this gym after working out here for four plus years. I remember when I’d come in and there would be maybe ten people in the gym, and now, it’s packed. I see reviews of people saying they can’t get a workout in or the gym is too small, but it is literally the perfect size and if you can’t get a workout in that’s your deal... I’m glad to see them gaining more members and attention due to covid. And props to them for running the gym well and keeping the gym clean . Monica is still doing a great job at running the place as well as the other people she has hired!!!!

Cards on the table....never been here as a client. I was called to perform an inspection and possible repairs to the gym in HB. This was in April...as of today, they have no interest in paying for services rendered. The HVAC equipment has been severely neglected for years. I see reviews on here about the air temp./ quality....well folks..... They dont wanna pay for services nor do they care about their clients air quality. Horrible business practices, lack of communication and failure to pay. 1 star is too many.

I have been going to Fitness 19 since their grand opening. Love all the equipment and very clean and always able to complete my workout. Monica the manager is awesome. Been doing personal training with Caesar since they reopened recently and love his detailed and persistent instructions on proper form unlike any trainer I have had in the past. I am learning so much and very grateful. The new employee that opens lately (Pat) is very punctual and greets everyone respectfully never ever late which is 5 am members appreciate! Pat is always cleaning and wiping down equipment which is awesome and keeps everyone healthier during COVID 😀

I would do negative 100 stars if I could. Started off great. Loved the staff. But as always they overcharged me hundreds after signing up for personal training. Did 4 sessions with Lilly. (whos the fing bomb btw) then told them to stop because I felt Ive accomplished my goal. And they kept charging my card 2 months afterwards. Been trying to get a refund and 2 months later still nothing. As time passes they keep bringing up weird fees just to charge you hundreds when the membership is literally only $40 a month. Super horrible service. But staff their are amazing. I will say that.

This gym is amazing!!! Every time I come it’s not crowded, And it’s always clean! The staff is always helpful and attentive. I came from Planet Fitness and they are always crowded and don’t have everything I need. I also get tanning with my membership which is a plus because I was paying $150 a month just to tan! You can’t go wrong with Fitness 19!

They sell more expensive membership with group classes and hydromassage. But there are not any of these.And I cant even cancel my membership online(UPDATE: Month ago I canceled my membership, BUT THEY CHARGED 145$ after!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Is that real in 2021? The worst customer expierience I have aver had!!!!!!!

Its honestly a gym for people who dont go to the gym very often. The equipment selection is weak so youll spend way more time waiting for somebody to get off a piece of gear than actually working out. The only reason this place survives is because its private enough to not have to care about the covid shut downs. No thank you.

They have so many different options of machines and I love the hydro massage after my work out it works awesome!!!

It seems to be a nice place to workout but I’m having a bad experience with them.Went there to get a membership, the girl that was working there didn’t know how to do it (that’s kinda ok since she was new at the gym), because of that, she didn’t inform me about fees and I was not able to sign a membership because she didn’t know how to do it. She told me the price ($26 if I’m not wrong) and got my information. I asked her if I had to pay anything else and she said no.After 3 days I got charged $98 dollars without a notice, without signing and approving anything. I called to cancel the membership and asked for a refund. That was more than a month ago and I still haven’t got my check and every time I call them, they tell me that they don’t know what happened and ask me to wait a couple days, and they never call me back. I just want my refund...

Not super crowded so i get all the machines i need for my workout without waiting awhile. the staff is always super helpful and very nice! Hydromassage bed is a wonderful relaxer after a long day of work and a good workout. Bathrooms are super clean and overall the gym is super clean as well!

Smaller gym but with adequate equipment. The energy here with members is great, everyone working towards a similar goal.

This place is the most unprofessional gym I’ve ever been to. The employees seem to think they can treat you however they want and if you stand up for yourself they threaten you and try to intimidate you. Place is not sanitary. 90% of the people working out does not wear a Mask. The manager there Monica should not be in a management position. I canceled my membership after three days there. It’s way to over packed they have no cardio station to do sit-ups or anything. Everyone uses the bench rack to power clean and deadlift. You have to stand in line to wait for a matching or free weights. All the benches are constantly soaked with sweat. Funny when I went to leave i told them I was going to contact the district manager and they laughed and said good luck. So I’ll be contacting Orange County health department and cdc. So good luck

I have been a member for over two years. I enjoy working out there because the equipment is well taken care of, the place is clean, the staff is very knowledgeable, and the members are respectful I like that they have a temperature check at the doors for our protection. Finally-The Price is Right

The staff at this location is awesome, especially Monica, the manager! The equipment and restrooms are always clean as well. Although its a smaller facility, theyve made great use of the space in terms of what equipment they have and how its situated.*My only suggestion: PLEASE GET RID OF THE OLD SQUAT RACK AND GET AT LEAST 1 POWER RACK; IT DOES SO MUCH MORE! IF POSSIBLE, FIND A WAY TO GET 2 IN THE BUILDING! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

I love this place! Its on the smaller side as far as gyms go, but its still plenty roomy, and large enough. Friendly, knowledgeable staff; very helpful. Plenty of machines. More of an old school feel to it. Great trainers:Jerry Torres in particular makes getting in to shape fun, and encouraging. Hes extremely good at helping you make your goals, fast You work out with Jerry, you get stronger.Dont miss leg day!

After my first workout at Fitness 19, I knew that I would be signing up for a membership. I was initially greeted by Jerry, who was very welcoming and gave me a small tour around the facility. The gym is nice and clean with multiple weight machines; so you dont have to awkwardly wait for someone to finish with their turn. I also like that there are classes available, as well as personal training sessions. I finally found a gym that meets all my needs... including friendly staff :)

Been coming here since they opened a few years ago. Originally the staff was not very helpful but they’ve changed in the past 2 years. Wonderful gym. Friendly, neighborhood vibe. You will come to recognize regulars and if you stay in Huntington Beach long enough you’ll see acquaintances and friends while working out! Highly recommend Jason as a trainer. Super knowledgeable, flexible schedule, and very chill guy who personalizes workouts based on the feedback you give him about your body.

I like this gym. It’s never crowded and has the best equipment I have ever used.This staff is great. I love the personal trainers here. My wife has been training with them for months. They have great stand up tanning beds that are included in the membership.Hydro massage beds that sound funny but people come here just for that even if they don’t workout. Great gym and very well kept.The new functional training center they added is great and fun to use. There are 1,000 different exercises you can doin it.I highly recommends his place. This gym has been by FAR my favorite gym that I have ever signed up for! Its always clean, the membership is affordable and the staff is beyond friendly! Couldnt be happier. They have a child care center which is also a major plus. My daughter met a lot of friends from there and loves the staff. She never wants to leave when my workout is over. The bathrooms are always clean and the equipment is never dusty. Even to the little things they succeed in such as music. I forgot my headphones a few times but Im never upset because the music they play there is still very good and keeps me motivated with my workout! Overall Im very pleased.

“THE BEST” this club is simply the best I’ve ever been affiliated with. Ive been part of many fitness clubs , which most quite more expensive. This is the cleanest,most up to date equipment and friendly and helpful staff .

My favorite gym so far . At less than 10$ a month they have all of the equipment I need, it is clean and the employees are always friendly and accommodating. I train with Jason twice a week and I would recommend him for anyone looking to get in shape! He really knows his stuff and always challenges me with great work outs.

She always makes sure the gym is clean which I appreciate heavily. She should get promoted or something because she is a very hard worker.

I love going to Fitness 19 every single day!!! I use my Silver Sneakers membership and enjoy the opportunity of going to watch my favorite TV programs at the same time every afternoon.The club is clean and well run with the great manager, Mike, and great staff of Victor and Zack. The girls that work there are super, too, but I do not know their names. They are hard working guys that are cheerful and helpful and are always keeping the club in top shape. I highly recommend this club to all of my friends. I am lucky to have this great club in my neighborhood!

Nice gym, friendly employees. But its common for opening hours staff to be late to open. Sometimes up to a half hour late! Disrespectful to members who have planned a workout early only to have it cancelled.

All that you could hope to ask for a “less that $20/month membership”. The staff is friendly and do a great job of keeping the place tidy and organized. They routinely re-rack weights and organize equipment. The crowds are not bad at all & like I said it’s very affordable. They could stay open later on weekends but other than that I’ve been super satisfied with my experience.

Doesnt have all of the amenities of larger gyms but has everything youd need for a typical workout. The machines are usually clean and everything is usually organised well. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions while there.

What I like the best about Fitness 19 is that everyone here is friendly. The facility is clean, and the staff motivates you to get fit. The trainers are great here - they guide you to a better workout session. This is a great affordable environment.

I come in to workout almost everyday. This gym is great, its always clean and the workers are always super nice. I usually only workout at night and Jason, who works there, is always there to close up. He knows his stuff and is easy to talk to.

If you want just the basics (treadmills, elliptical, stationary bikes, free weights), this place is fine. I believe they also have personal trainers (if you wanna pay a trainers fee). Im pretty sure if you looked like you belong in there, you could walk right in as there is never anyone at the front desk checking membership. They also dont have any locker rooms (just lockers out in the open and a single room that you can change in) and no showers. They also dont have any group classes.

Ive been a member since December of 2013. I am so happy I moved right down the street from this gym. Ive lived in Orange County for a little over 4 years. Ive been a member of about half a dozen gyms and this is the only one Ive been completely happy with. THIS IS THE CLEANIST GYM AROUND TOWN!!!!!! The employees are so nice and helpful. If you have any questions or anything they are ready to cater to you. Ive never been so impressed with the service I receive from Fitness 19. If you are thinking about joining go see Mike or Ashlee. They are awesome.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms and Fitness 19 HB is the cleanest and has the nicest equipment. There’s a non-intimidating environment and everyone is friendly. It’s also cheaper for me and my wife than a single membership anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Pricing plans are a joke. Everything is set up around the average client only being a part of the organization for 6 months. If you do the math, all of the plans come out to the same total for a 6 month period, so all of your savings or deals are actually BS and you are paying the same regardless of how long you sign up for.

I was around the area and fitness 19 has a location here, they pretty much have everything you need for weight training. Bench press and hammer strenght equipment. Super legit and it doesnt get crowded. More like chilling and home/family neighborhood gym. Definitely worth it
