Clean and professional dental office. First impression is important. The lobby is well equipped with amenities such as coffee, water and magazine while you wait. Dr. Steven Nguyen is gentle and very informative about procedures or service being done. He is honest and does not recommend treatment if its not necessary. I recently received my aligners, a more advanced technology to the alternative invisalign so I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen for the ortho treatment in addition to general dental service.

By far the best dentist office experience I’ve ever had! I’ve had many problems with my teeth and ever since I was a kid I was always afraid of going to the dentist office. The dentists were always in “job mode” never super friendly, but man I’ll tell ya this office had the most friendly staff and the music in the background really helped keep the mood fun! Dr. Swaroop was very explanatory and helped find solutions to my financial dilemma in any way they could. Would definitely recommend for all ages! Thank you so much Smile HB!

New to this office for deep cleaning. I really like the way Dr Nguyen makes me feel. I get very anxious each time I visit the dentist. So far my treatment has not been painful during the scaling. Next day not painful either. Dr Nguyen gives me honest advice and suggestions. Definitely recommend this office and friendly staff.

Ive been going to Dr. Swaroop for years and Ive always had really positive experiences. Im always presented with the best options for taking care of my teeth, but never pressured to do anything.Last year, I had an accident and suffered major trauma to multiple teeth. It was one of the scariest things Ive ever had to go through, but Dr. Swaroop and his team helped me through the entire process. Not only did they take care of my teeth, they took care of me. The level of empathy and patience was exceptional!In addition to exceptional care, Dr. Swaroop took the time to write to my insurance company after a claim was denied. He got the treatment approved and saved me literally thousands of dollars. Im so grateful!

Stay away from Dr Swaroop! He scams patients! I went in looking for a new dentist when I moved into the area. I got the x-rays and was told I had part of a metal filling missing by the tech. I scheduled the appointment to have it fixed. When I went in he rudely said he doesnt know who told me I had part of the filling missing but that I did have a cavity. He did a horrible job of filling a non-existent cavity on the same tooth as the missing filling. He left sharp edges too! I went back to my former dentist because I was so unhappy with Dr. Swaroop, and she immediately told me I had part of a missing filling on the same tooth. Now my insurance wont cover it for 24 months because a cavity was already done on that tooth. Hopefully I can get this resolved. Again, stay away from this quack!

I would give this place zero stars if I could! Scammed my elderly father. This dentist upcharges on unnecessary costs. Told my elderly 70 year old father he needed a deep cleaning that costed close to 1 grand. Look else where to save yourself a headache.**Also I noticed the good reviews were accidentally placed on the wrong page, as their business name is extremely similar in name and location to another dentist with good ratings (at 9506 hamilton)

I met Dr. Swaroop while taking a very comprehensive (and intense) course in orthodontics. He is one of the instructors and I have had the pleasure of having him as our instructor several times. His knowledge of orthodontics and dentistry is impressive. I frequently send my orthodontic cases to him for his evaluation and second opinion. He always responds to my needs promptly and is very thorough in his recommendations. I would entrust someone as knowledgeable and caring as him with my dental and orthodontic needs any day. I recommend him highly and am thinking seriously about coming to California to have him do my braces!Helen M. Barron DDS

Please keep your family away from Dr. Swaroop. He completely messed up my teeth. He was arrogant and rough with me. He did not wait till I was numb before he started working on my teeth. He told me that I needed 13 crowns and being my trusting self I believed every word he told me. He put in 13 crowns in a matter of a couple weeks, and I paid him around $10,000.00. Six months later my crowns started to pop off. I went to another dentist who advised me that the crowns were done incorrectly and that I would need to have them all replaced. Still 4 years later my mouth hurts all the time, my bite is completely screwed up, and I have jaw pain that I never had before. To top it all off, his office manager at the time opened a false care credit account in my name and stole a few thousand dollars from me and complete messed up my credit. I asked him multiple times to please call care credit to fix the situation but he nerved followed through. Stay away!

Did not get a good vibe from the doc but the office staff was pleasant. He said my daughter had 3 cavities and I am glad I got a second opinion. She only had 1 tiny one and did not require the $500 in work that hb family dental said she needed.

I was vacationing in Huntington Beach from Canada when I developed a dental emergency, I was told by a friend of mine to use HB Family Dental care regarding my dental issue. I called into the office and I was immediately asked to come in the next day.I found the office staff very personable, friendly, the clinic was a very clean environment and well done compared to other dental clinics I have been to in the past. Dr Swaroop and his staff were very professional and efficient when dealing with my dental issue. They kept me abreast with all the work that they were doing and were friendly to me throughout my experience. There thoroughness throughout the procedure and them taking their time and keeping to there high standard of work was seen by me the whole time I was there.To sum up Dr. Swaroop has been the best dentist that I have seen, and his friendly personality and his attention to detail when he is doing is work impressed me. His clinic and staff went well beyond what I expected from a dental office. My regular dentist here in Canada could learn a lot from the services that he offers to his own clients. I thank Dr. Swaroop and his staff for a enjoyable experience and I would recommend anyone to go and experience a dentist who really cares about his patients and the type of work he conducts!
