I always have anxiety going to the dentist as I always need work done on my teeth, and I hate being judged and having pain. After moving from DC I visited Khan, he was amazing honest and upfront about the situation. This type of experiences builds trust with your dentist. If youre price sensitive this may not be the please but you cant put a price on your health so I highly recommend it especially if you havent seen a dentist for a regular check up. There is only street and paid parking. It costs $2/hour.

Seriously the BEST dental office all around! The staff is so welcoming and fun to be around (I have never enjoyed the dentist) but actually enjoy getting my services done here. Dr. Khan is so kind and really knows what he is doing. He has the latest and greatest technology and I know that he is totally honest and will give you the best treatment without depleting your pocketbook! All around a WONDERFUL dentist. First visit and I felt very heard and cared for. I have been going to two different dentists before Smiles Cafe. One was over diagnosing and uncharging the other said I was fine and didnt need any work. Shared my concern with Smiles and they told me exactly what I needed and didnt need. I came to Dr KAHN because I am facing some serious surgeries coming up and needed a thorough check up with an honest dentist. Not only did he do x-rays , just to make sure I am ready he did a CT scan . He was very kind and really informative. His whole staff was like instant family. It was so different than any other experience I have had with dentists in the past. I am switching my whole family over to his care. He is very smart and extremely trustworthy . He spent so much time trying to make me comfortable. I love this place! i left feeling so confident that I was with an honest man. I cant say enough great things about my experience!

Went in for a new patient evaluation and they explained I would need to schedule work after they image my teeth etc… They had cool new imaging techniques and I liked that they gave me an estimate of my cost including my insurance before work was completed. Everything was sent to my phone for easy viewing. The doctor spent time showing me the images and explaining everything. He explained the timeline and set up my treatment to be cost effective and so that I’d have an easy recovery (I had to get wisdom teeth out and a few fillings). They had time and so they did an extraction that day! It was all relatively painless and everyone in their office is kind, friendly, and great at their job. I’d recommend them to anyone I know. The office is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly and hospitable. The office is equipped with the newest and best equipment available, from their x-rays tools to their itero machine, a device that replaces those annoying impression materials by taking pictures and turns your entire mouth into a 3D model on a screen. On my first visit to the office I was blown away at how welcoming and warm all of the staff was. It was like I was being greeted by family members during the holidays. Overall a great practice that had me leaving satisfied and happy with my dental treatment.

I have always been terrified of dentists. Well, not anymore! I called several dentist offices trying to find anyone that could take me for an emergency procedure I was lucky enough to come across Smiles Cafe. They were not taking patients that day but let me come in anyway. They fixed my tooth and although the procedure itself was not pleasant (which I blame on myself) the dentist was so kind and made sure I was comfortable and not feeling pain. All the staff are super friendly and they all treat you like family. I have been back several times for other procedures and I can’t believe that I walk in worry free. I have very high anxiety when going to the dentist. I ask for a lot of numbing, extra numbing and then some. I usually sweat a lot while in the chair having my teeth repaired. Today was an amazing experience. Yes I was numb very numb but the process didn’t hurt.The dentist took the time to explain every procedure and provided several solutions.The Dr. took his time asking several times if I was ok or if I felt any which I didn’t.This is now my new dentist. I really liked the welcoming, care and comfort provided during a stressful situation.Thank you for your tender care. I’ll be back in two weeks for my permanent crown!

Everyone at Smiles Cafe is wonderful, both front desk and back office. I initially went to Dr. Khan when I had a very bad toothache and my regular dentist couldnt see me until 3 days later. Dr. Khan saw me same day, and referred me to get a root canal then fit me with a crown a few weeks later. Even the endodontist he referred me to was wonderful, everyone I saw in the entire process was kind and got things done quickly to minimize the pain I was in. I had such a good experience I have now switched to have all my dental work done here.

I was seen by Dr Khan today at the last minute! He went out of his way to help me. My bottom, right gum, has been hurting the past 2 days. The pain was increasing and I decided to call Dr Khans office on a Saturday morning (Labor Day weekend). He was able to fit me at the last minute. I was impressed that he really tried to help me get rid of my pain. It turns out my bottom right wisdom tooth is erupting through my gums. After my consultation was over, I headed to CVS for my pain medication. I received another call from Dr Khan advising me what else I can do for my pain. He is the BEST DOCTOR EVER! Im extremely happy that he helped me out today! I will definitely be coming back to him! I highly recommend him! He explains everything and makes you feel comfortable! I’ve finally found a dentist that I feel actually cares about my dental needs who shows interest in my follow up appointments. Although I was there for a cleaning with the hygienist (Jessa, love her!) Dr. Tahir Kahn took the time to come into the room and asked her to take X-rays of my recent crowns/bridge. Besides x-rays, they 3D scanned my teeth to check my bite and teeth alignment. Whoa. Let me begin by saying I do have some anxiety about dental appointments. But I am happy to report that my first appointment at Smiles Cafe Dentistry was entirely positive and anxiety free. I had x-rays, a 3-D scan and an exam by Dr. Khan. Dr. Khan is very kind, reasonable and personable. Discussing my dental health with him was like having a conversation with a friend instead of the usual distracted, hurried dentist. I had really bad tooth fracture and was in so much pain for more than a week but couldnt find a good dentist who could help me out urgently or suggest something which would either save my tooth or advise on a personal level rather discussing the cost. I’ve had terrible experiences with almost all dentists in the past. Low quality work and always charging unexpected extras. Initially I was suspicious about all the great reviews Smiles Cafe Dentistry has, but now I get why everyone raves about this place. This is the only honest dentist I’ve come across who also does high quality work. Staff is very friendly and Doctor really cares about you. The Doctor will even give you his personal phone number in case you have an emergency over the weekend! Who else does that?!?! Despite the distance from my home I won’t go anywhere else now that I found Smiles Cafe Dentistry.

I am now able to use that information in the future which I am able to send to Invisalign if I wish to! Its all so new and exciting which is only part of why I love Smile dentistry. He not only discovered all the current problems I had in my teeth, but he also gave me ways to prohibit them from reoccurring. I took my two daughters to see the dentist today and he couldn’t have been sweeter. He was very nice, very informative. He stayed with us and kept asking us if we had any questions. I have been on the hunt for a new dentist as mine is an hour away and was very excited to find Smiles Cafe because of all the great reviews. The people were super friendly.. however I made multiple attempts to confirm my insurance was accepted .. and I understand it is my fault for asking “is my insurance accepted” because the truth of the matter is sure they take the insurance but it is out of network. So instead of having 100% coverage or 80% coverage ... they were quoting me 28% coverage... so ya thanks a lot Smiles Cafe for not just being more clear as I would have used this cleaning visit to try out a new dentist who is in my network. Shame on you for not having someone reach out and confirm with me after I had multiple touch points regarding my insurance.

I saw 2 other dentists who wanted big money for a root canal and crown. this dentist was the only one that inspected my tooth and noticed it was actually cracked, a root canal would not have saved the tooth and along with the crown recommended would have wasted thousands. He not only explained this but took pictures and showed me and I was able to see the crack with my own eyes. Great dentist, great bed side manner and I can’t say I enjoyed the removal but he was as gentle and considerate as one can be when removing a tooth. I will recommend to my family

This was my second visit to Smiles Cafe and I can’t say enough wonderful things about both Doctor Khans and their staff. Everyone is so patient and kind. No one scolds you or makes you feel bad about having to get work done and they are very honest. I feel super comfortable there and highly recommend.

I went to see Dr. Khan for the first time yesterday because I needed a bond on my tooth fixed. I heard nothing but wonderful things about Dr. Khan, so I figured I would give it a try. I cant even begin to tell you how wonderful both the Doctor and his staff is at this office. Dr. Khan is so honest, patient, kind and really makes you feel comfortable at all times. He is simply amazing! I am blessed that I found a new dentist and it is walking distance from my home. The bond on my tooth looks amazing, I can finally smile again :)

Dr. Kahn and his staff provide friendly and comfortable A plus service! I originally went in for a dental emergency. I have since had routine dental, prosthetic replacement, deep cleaning and the standard of service has not wavered. Before Dr. Kahn I hated going to the dentist, not anymore!

Absolutely stellar. They graciously accommodated a same-day (emergency-ish) appointment. Dr. Khan was easily the best dentist I’ve ever worked with. He and his team were thorough, empathetic, and explained the recommended treatment in refreshing detail. For anyone worried about safety in the Covidian age, worry not – everyone had full PPE and everything was regularly sanitized. They did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable through what became a *formidable* procedure. There’s more work to be done, but I’m kind of looking forward to it.

I HAVE SEEN 4 DENTIST, 1 ENDONTIST AND 2 ENTS SINCE 2013 REGARDING A LUMP ON THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH AND A TOOTH WITH A METAL ROOT CANAL. EVERYONE SAID THEY DIDNT KNOW AND WOULDNT TOUCH IT. I WENT TO SMILES CAFE AND WAS PROPERLY DIAGNOSED AND SENT TO THE CORRECT SPECIALIST. I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE SPECIALIST MONDAY WHEN THEY OPEN.EVERYONE WAS VERY KIND, PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING. I HAVE GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER AND ADHD SO I AM VERY HIGH STRUNG, THEY WERE ALL VERY CALMING FROM THE FRONT OFFICE, DENTAL TECH AND DENTIST. I AM CASH PAYING AND YOU CAN REALLY TELL THEY TRULY CARE FOR THEIR PATIENTS. THE DENTIST HELPED ME OUT QUITE A BIT. I USUALLY FIND ALL CAPS SUPER ANNOYING ON POST BUT THIS DENTIST IMPRESSED ME AND I WANT THIS MESSAGE TO STAND OUT.I forgot to mention I literally cried tears of joy when I got in my car because this health nightmare is finally going to come to an end.

I HATE the dentist, but LOVE Smiles Cafe. I will recommend it until the entire SoCal community is using them. Family owned business that truly cares about their patients. They constantly go out of their way to keep me comfortable during my appointments (numbing, Netflix, peaceful music, small talk, letting me hold the hoses so you don’t feel like your choking or drowning, taking breaks, going slowly and gently). It’s truly everything you want your dentist to be.

Our family loves Dr Khan and Deanna the Hygienist. We have been patients for a few years now. Anytime someone ask us for a recommendation for a Dentist we tell them about Smile Cafe. Everyone there is so friendly and they always make you feel so comfortable. Plus Dr Khan makes you feel like family and seems to remember everything about you. Today I actually saw Emma who was covering for Deanna and she is another great addition to the office. Thanks for making a visit to the dentist a pleasant experience.
