Imagine not letting people skate couldn’t be me
I am a single mom of an eight years old boy, and I enrolled my son to start from April. I have filed out the form and everything and they even took the $50 registration fees. On first day, they informed me that they un-enrolled him due to an outstanding balance from 2016. They kept repeating that I did not pay my portion. Anyhow I had all the paperwork that it was the agency and they cleared the balance but still they refused to enroll him. At the end they left me a message to go and fill extra forms. When I went there I felt I am under investigation by the authorities. The manager asked her colleague to come and sit with us as a witness and she started to read one by one of that form. I just could not take it anymore and after informing her that I am taking a legal action against them, I left. They thought well she is a foreigner and she is one of those who come to this country and use our tax and not paying her share. They un-enrolled my son without thinking of the consequences and try to resolve it first. They kept saying in front of all the staff, because you did not pay $200 something Ive been told not to enroll him. Worst thing was after they found out I paid all my portions and have a good track record, they treating me like a criminal to secure themselves by asking me to sign extra paper work. Having suffered for a long time, and lost my job due to not having the child care,I am standing up for myself. When I enrolled with YMCA, I was assured of equal opportunity, but so far, this assurance has not been fulfilled.
