Best salon EVER! I have been going to Meleesa since I moved to Huntington Beach 5 years ago and have never once had a bad experience. She has always listened to what I wanted and kept my hair healthy throughout. I’ve had extensions, colors, cuts and have been thrilled every time. Meleesa also did my hair for my wedding and it was flawless! Her quality work is also paired with an amazing vibe as well as sustainability practices throughout the salon. Cannot say enough good things!

I have been going to Meleesa’s Salon since she opened. Ive had just about every service they offer at one time or another and use the products they sell exclusively. I had my bridal party there for hair and makeup almost five years ago as well. Currently, I get my hair done by Meleesa and my eyelashes from Aubrey and Melissa. They are the absolute best! All of them. The feeling of calm always washes over me the moment I walk in the door and I know the women there create that environment organically and without thought. They are beautiful humans and I adore them all dearly. Every time I leave there I feel and look my best both inside and out.

I needed a haircut desperately and checked out Google Maps for a local hair salon and I stumbled into Meleesa the Salon. Meleesa, the owner, is so sweet and has owned her little shop for 15 years. All her stuff is sustainable from properly disposing of the hair to the vegan products they use, not to mention she specialized in textured hair. She made my mermaid hair dreams come true! Great vibes and even better cuts!

Meleesa is an amazingly talented stylist. Shes been cutting my hair (mens cut) for almost 8 years, and she never fails to impress. Not only that, shes a great conversationalist, and her passion and energy is contagious. Highly recommend you stop by and see for yourself!

What a great little hidden gem! I absolutely ADORE this place! The vibes in this salon make you feel SO comfortable and SO at home! Its the first time Ive EVER felt like hanging around a little after a hair appointment, and not trying to rush out of a stuffy salon. And to really put the cherry on top, I found a stylist there that is a hair genius! I highly recommend booking an appointment with Tara Shaffer. She has such a wonderful attention to detail and an eye for hair color. I havent loved my hair color this much in YEARS. Unlike a lot of other stylists who just quickly slap on some bleach to your hair, Tara really takes the time to do some amazing foiling techniques that make my highlights look SO natural, and even helps to give me a couple extra weeks of time in between needing color again! Been going to Meleesa the Salon for about a decade, and can definitely recommend. In fact I have referred several personal friends and we are still friends so you know the stylists are great! I don’t have great hair, it’s not thin but it is fine and super straight with one really annoying cowlick. It’s troublesome for many stylists because I am also easily bored and change my color, length and style often. Meleesa the Salon Is perfect for me, they use high quality natural products to keep my hair healthy despite all the processing and are great at guiding me in my fresh looks so I don’t do something that is unflattering. The salon has a fun, chill, boho vibe and happy people inside. The owner Meleesa is a loving, creative, Costa Rican and often has fun sangrias, aguas frescas, and treats to share.

I love Meleesa the Salon. I got microblading done on my eyebrows by Bree and she did an amazing job! My eyebrows look fantastic. Bree is such a sweetheart and she really listened to what I wanted. I didnt know my brows could look so good.

This salon is a great experience. They work for being more sustainable by recycling way more than the average salon. The stylists do a great job and are extremely nice.

Meleesa and her staff are absolutely lovely and made me feel like a goddess. A personalized, caring, holistic, sustainable approach and a wonderful, relaxing hair cut experience— complete with sangria and scalp treatment/massage. I recently relocated to OC and am happy to have found my local hair guru in a beautiful, tranquil space I look forward to returning to. Meleesa is a total pro. Lucky for me she gave me a same day appointment as I was visiting HB and leaving that evening. She expertly lightened my hair and repaired another salons previous color application. I got a great haircut and walked out feeling wonderful wonderful. Id never spent this much for a stylist, but if youre looking for the best, shes the one.

During our initial consultation (which was free) she took the time to connect with me & chatted about what i wanted and how she could help & find a solution to tame my mane as i was served a warm soothing herbal tea. She even gave me a few samples of product to try out. She is so intune with what she’s doing & who she is as well as passionate.They recycle everything they possibly can & use plant based eco-conscious cruelty & toxic chemical free products.During our actual appt we did a reading from the Goddess cards which was absolutely divine as we connected to a Higher Source. We even talked about my passions & dreams & what i was seeking in life.She wasn’t pushy about products or anything, such cool rad vibes. I had a blissful, divine, holistic, comfortable experience & would absolutely highly recommend Meleesa to anyone.

I absolutely LOVE this salon. There is non other like it! When I am in the chair, people are always popping their heads in the door just to see the décor. The stylist I see here is Kayla Carreau and she is absolutely amazing! She is very friendly and accommodating. My hair is cut and styled exactly the way I want it! It is like she is a mind reader.
