I started with Dr. Matossian several years ago - he listened to my concerns, adjusted my meds, and recommended my therapist, Colleen. Colleen has changed my life! She offered education, new perspectives, encouraged me to pursue my interests and now I am living my best life. She continues to listen, ask questions, and encourage me with whatever concerns I bring to her. I am truly blessed to have found her and Dr. M.Patti

Dr. Matossian saved my life. He realized I was having thyroid issues. Turns out I am hyperthyroid. I notice less depression issues now that my thyroid is balanced.

Office manager is very rude. I have been going there for well over a year now and up til yesterday my mom has been the one who has payed and set up appointments and never had a problem with anyone there and now all of a sudden it has changed, they have not notified me, they never told me I had a balance and they sent my to collections. once I found that out I called up there, the office manager answered and was very rude about the situation and them proceeded to argue with me saying they never have spoke to my mom which is funny because Ive had numerous appointments and Ive never once made them or payed for them and know it was all done through my mother and they can check the signatures theyre all hers not mine

I found Dr. Mattosian and Colleen Chapman through a friend referral. I had been struggling and other doctors were only making my life more challenging with medicine that would make me numb like a robot or I would do the alternative route with naturopaths and get moderate results. Colleen and Dr. Mattosian were very kind and listened to my long story, looked at my blood work and found the problem. After proper medication and talk therapy and some good life changes Ive been in a much better spot and kept it up. Ive sent so many people to them and run into friends in the waiting room every time I go. The team there is great and they will work with you. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Matossian was rude when I went for my appointment with him. He told me the reason for my mental illness was because of my obesity even though I have had no issue with the way I look and how much I weigh. As soon as the words left his mouth I was up and out of the door. I canceled all future appointments when I walked out and will never go back or recommend him to anyone. But Mary Anne was the nicest lady I had ever worked with when I needed help.

I highly recommend Advanced Behavioral Medicine! This is the best psychiatrist I have ever had / have seen. He works with you to find the correct solutions / medications based on YOU. Also it was nice to have a Doctor listen to my concerns and experiences with medications and past medications I had already been on.

I spent almost 12 years seeking help with Advanced Behavioral Medicine in Howell, MI. It took years for the Psychiatrist there to finally find the correct medication to get me on for depression and anxiety. I also sought help for severe emotional distress as I went through a transition in my life of going through a divorce and the separation I experienced from my kids. The psychologists were mediocre at best and after an investment of 12 years of my time trusting them and relying on them for help understanding my situation and caring for me I received a call at work from ABM telling me I was discharged from their clinic. Why? Because of an act of kindness and generosity that they decided to misinterpret. Really.

I have had great success with Dr. Matossian and his therapists. He has always followed up whenever I have had a concern. When you work with one of his therapists, they make themselves available to you whenever you need them. I love this clinic and am glad that it is near me!

Ive had a similar experience to those below. Dr. Matossian seems to know what hes doing, though his personality takes some getting used to. His office staff, on the other hand, seem to be completely unable to do their jobs. I have spent the last three weeks jumping through hoops trying to get my prescription from them (its a controlled substance, so they cant just call it in to the pharmacy). First they told me they could have my primary care physician write the prescription and I could pick it up there, then they changed their minds on that. Then they said they could mail it to me, but over two weeks later it still hasnt arrived. The receptionist just says unhelpful things like Thats just how the mail is now. I finally convinced them to write a new one so I could pick it up, which requires an extra hour of driving out of my way to get to their office and back, and it took me three separate phone calls and an office visit just to get to that point. Meanwhile, I have been unmedicated for my condition for half a month. To say Im unimpressed would be too kind. If your doctor, like mine, refers you to this clinic, ask for another option.2018 update: pretty much all new office staff. Things are better.

YIKES! I find it hard to believe that this is the same place where I have been going for the last few years.#1 Dr Matossian knows exactly what he is doing as far as the medications go, and I find him to be a kind and gentle soul.#2 The therapist who I have been seeing for the last few years has been a big help to me. When I first went to see her, I was a depressed basket case, but because of her patience, kindness, not to mention her expertise, I am much better than I was a few years ago. I am not where I want to be, but I have made lots of progress and am grateful to her and to Dr. Matossian for their help and support. I have no problem recommending both of them.

I had an appoinment scheduled with Dr. Motossian for 2 weeks. I get a call today from some lady saying that the doctor refuses to see me because my husband before we were married had been to their place and he has not paid his bill. Im confused on why that has to do with me and why that would effect me seeing him when I wasnt even married at the time. She wasnt even going to tell me why until I asked. I am very upset. That cannot be legal. Refusing a patient because of my last name.

Ok here is the thing. First I will say the bad points. The people running the front office do not know what they are doing and are very rude. But not all of them. Just some and I dont know their names. I also notice that some of the rude ones do not seem to be there anymore.I see two people there. My therapist is the most amazing woman ever. Beth Gasperich is very down to earth. They have many people working there and I am sure you will find the right one to fit you. You just need to do research. Now lets talk about Matossian. He is the MD there that runs everything. I see a lot of people get down on him. But he is an interesting guy. People say he is rude or he laughs. I honestly thought this at first, but then I got to know him a little more and I realized he cares and he is good at what he does. We even had some nice chats before, even though he is not my main person I go to. I just get my medicine from him. So dont rate him on seeing him a couple times. Give him time. He might be a match for you. If not, like I said, there are others that work there.

*Advanced Behavioral is NOT accepting new patients as of 4/11/19* .... After a brief 2 month lapse in visits due to a military obligation I was told I would need to be processed as a “new patient” but “Dr. Matossian isn’t accepting new patients” .... this is how they care about a veteran with ptsd.

This place is no good accuses you of Doctor shopping and I have had all the same Doctors for years. They also fired my therapist I had for 6 years for really no good reason now I have to find a new better Pyschiatrist and therapist. Dr. Vikken Matossisn has a big ego and is in it for just the money and not your well being.
