Dr. Mark Vital is an excellent ophthalmologist. My exam was very thorough and I although I had a lot of questions for him, I never felt rushed. He patiently answered every question I had and explained my options. I am so glad I found him and recommend him without reservation.

I saw Dr. Vital today for the first time. I was very impressed with him as he explained to me the options I could take in the care of my eyes. The staff was very nice and helpful - I believe the young woman that tested my eyes was Shirley - she was very friendly and put me at ease right away.

This is the second time I have seen Dr Vital. The first was about 18 months ago to remove the cataract in one of my eyes and this time to do the same for the other eye. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr Vital patiently answered my questions and I have strong confidence in a good result just like I have had with the first eye. He presented himself to be very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, presented me with multiple options, and allowed me to determine what my next step would be. I GOT THERE EARLIER, I GOT ALL OF MY PAPERWORK IN ORDER FAST, I WAS CALL TO THE BACK SO QUICKLY, THE STAFF WAS SO FRIENDLY, AND IT WAS SO COMFORTABLE, AND DR VITAL CHECK ME OUT WITH GOOD NEWS, EVERYBODY WAS JUST WONDERFUL,,,,FROM THE RECEPTIONIST TO THE DOCTOR .

So my Mom saw one of Dr Vital’s colleagues for an issue that required a Cornea specialist/surgeon. Her usual Dr was over an hour away. Long story short, Dr. Vital stepped in carving out time from a booked schedule to tend to my Mom’s emergency and coordinate with her Dr to make a corneal transplant happen the following day. Him and the whole team worked together like clockwork to save my mother’s eye. I’m so grateful and amazed. I wish I could also thank the family who is in mourning right now and let them know how much their loved one has helped my mom.Thanks again to Dr Vital and Houston Eye Associates.

Dr Vital told me what was going on with my eyes in detail in terms that I could understand. He said ge could surgery soon or I could wait since my correctable eyesight is still in a manageable range. He explained the recovery in detail. I will go back to him for my surgery probably during the summer. I am confident of his abilities as a surgeon.

Everyone was very personable. This was my first visit so I was a bit confused about what to do. I checked the directory for Dr. Vitals office but the overhead signs didnt exactly lead me to his office. I stood in uncertainty at the area where his office# appeared. I finally came around and saw the sign in sheet. From there things moved smoothly. Scheduled appt for 10:20. Arrived 10:15. Filled out papers that took 20 mins. Within 10 mins I was called in. I went through the pre-exam, saw the doctor, and had some extra tests run prior to leaving at 12:30. Great experience.

Initially my wife had an appointment with Dr. Vital. I was impressed with the thoroughness of his examination of her. I made an appointment to see Dr. Vital that same day. When I arrived at the center for my appointment I was screened by Dr. Vitals nurse/assistant? She ascertained that Dr. Vitals field of practice was not what was needed in my case and referred me to Dr. Salmonsen. Dr. Salmonsen treated me with dignity and respect. He was courteous and responded to courtesy. I was equally impressed with his acumen. I found out that what I perceived was wrong with my right eye was not in fact what was actually happening with the eye! He carefully explained what the tests that were performed showed and it was not what I had been advised of for so many years. Kudos to Dr. Salmonsen and his nurse/assistant.

The doctor is great but the wait time is ridiculous. Expect to wait over an hour for each appointment, every time. He isnt worth that wait when you can find other great eye doctors who wont waste your time for hours on end.

I am very pleased with the results of my sons surgery, all the staff is nice and Dr Vital is a great surgeon and the attention with his patients goes over any expectations.
