Kim, Mic, and Kasey are the BEST therapy team in the entire Memorial Herman Sports Medicine system! Kim is a brilliant therapist who is constantly focused on every action of my therapy process. Kim is extremely good at explaining every step of this process so I can feel comfortable with every exercise. Kim’s team Mic and Kasey are always on task and I couldn’t ask for a more competent group.

The entire team is amazing! I had the privilege to be Cari patient who eventually moved 🥺, Nathan, Connor, Kim and Jaime all work together to make sure I keep on progressing on my recovery. Micaela and Kasey always work as a team and push me to reach my goals (amazing ice bags to go also). The front desk Ashley and Joe always give a positive vibe and do the best to answer every questions. Sorry to those I forgot to mention but must say I am blessed to have found this location and know that I am in good hands.

The facility is amazing and offers much more than most PT clinics. I love that they have a turf area and a wide range of implements, it makes the training varied and a lot of fun. I have worked with a few different therapist throughout my rehab and each one has been incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I have had a great experience overall and look forward to me sessions.

Jaime is fantastic! I received a recommendation to go to him from my orthopedist since he is a fellow runner and gets runners and running injuries. He has been the key to my recovering from an Achilles injury. I truly value the knowledge, time and care that he provides every session. It has been more than worth the drive from Sugar Land. I have recommended him to friends and family and they are always impressed as well!

Kim is super nice and great with kids. She keeps them engaged and does a great job distracting them with fun questions and other activities! She is also super motivating and is always playing creative games. My daughter loves going to PT to see Kim and the other girls. I feel confident in Kim’s methods and look forward to my daughter walking and running again after surgery! Thank you!!!

I was here working with Brian a couple years ago, which was great. Not a good thing to be back, but working with Connor now has been a top-notch experience too—knowledgeable and keeps it fun while also driving work. Very professional and caring staff— the recovery journey for PT is not always easy, but the team at the Shepherd Square location made me feel encouraged to meet my goals. My PTs developed great programs to be conducted on-site/clinic visits and at-home when I could not attend my sessions. Flexible, attentive, and overall great professionals; I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing physical therapy

I have been going to Memorial Hermann Sports medicine for several months for rehab on my knees. After several months of rehab and insurance ran out, I switched to use of their personal trainer. Every thing I have experienced there has way outperformed my expectations. The PT people and the trainers have been down to earth and easy to work with. They listen well and get you involved in the treatment. Even though I was assigned to one PT person, it is amazing how they all work together and pretty soon it was like I had my own personal team to help my rehab. I have decided to have my knees replaced by a doctor not in the Memorial system but I will definitely be using Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine at Sheperd Square for my rehab. I love them.

I recently had knee surgery (ACL reconstruction + meniscus repair) and my surgeon recommended I rehab at Memorial Hermann Shepherd Square. For the past few months, I have primarily worked with Brian and Kim (DPTs) and Megan (DPT intern). All three have been consummate professionals who are diligent in their work, tirelessly push and encourage me to reach new milestones and patiently endure hundreds of my questions and doubts. Largely due to their efforts and hard work, my knee has progressed immensely and I feel very confident in being able to re-achieve normalcy in my daily life activities. In addition to my therapists, the staff has also been exceedingly helpful and positive. From Kasey and Micaela (PT techs) to Ashley (receptionist), everyone always has a smile and is willing to go the extra mile to assist with anything and everything. They are an indispensable part of creating a positive environment that makes going to rehab much more tolerable and almost “enjoyable”.I highly, highly recommend Memorial Hermann Shepherd Square to anyone who is looking to rehab with knowledgeable and caring professionals who find joy in helping their patients get better every day. You won’t regret it!

MH Sports Medicine has been literally life changing in my recovery from a motorcycle accident. With their help, I will not only be able to walk again and live with a normal quality of life but I may actually be healthier once I leave here than before my accident. On my first visit, I met with a Dr. of Physical Therapy who performed my assessment. She was more knowledgeable and articulate than anyone I had worked with since the accident. I thought I would only see her for eval then be passed to a trainer, as is common in medicine. Much to my surprise, she is my physical therapist that I work with every week. The other staff at the facility are equally as academically and professionally qualified. Every single one of the interns, fellows, residents, administration, et al. are as friendly and helpful as they could be.The facility is equipped to handle every level of rehabilitation. It is important to me to be able to not only perform basic life functions like standing up and walking but I also want to regain strength and athletic ability. As I progress in my recovery, I’m beginning to use proper gym equipment - of which they have a full inventory. Once I’m back to performing squats, deadlifts, etc, it will be under the guidance of the same physical therapists that started with me Day 1. I have no doubt that I will ‘graduate’ from rehabilitation as strong and properly healed as the body allows - something that will pay dividends later in life.I can’t run out of good things to say about MH Sports Med Shepard Square. If you are serious about your recovery and leaving healthier than you arrived, this is the place to be.

I would not have been happier with my fast recovery after post ACL left knee surgery. I was fortunate to meet Kim Polasek on my first visit to Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation – Shepherd Square. I was doing my paperwork when I first saw Kim talking to one of her patients, so I decided to ask her a question (since she was the only one nearby the front desk). Kim answered my question and took a look at my knee without been her patient. She was very kind and had a lot of knowledge about what she was doing. Since then, Kim became my physical therapist. In my first week of therapy, I was out of town and I was not able to go to my appointment, so she gave me a list of exercises to perform while I was out of town (the exercises didnt need any supervision). Fast forward, its been almost nine months since I started my journey with Kim and I have to say that Im very pleased with the results. To this day I can perform what I used to perform before my injury thanks to the great job Kim has done with me. Kim has a splendid team that backs her up. I loved working with Regan, he was helping Kim and I felt comfortable when working with him. Also, Kasey is been part of the team and is been helping with my recovery (she is super nice). Additionally, Jaime also has been part of my recovery by testing my performance along with Kim.Overall I have to say that Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation – Shepherd Square is an excellent place for rehabilitation after an injury. Every single person that works there is kind and full of energy. Thank you, everyone, for making this place comfortable for recovery with your good energy.

Both my son and I attended months of physical therapy here and were grateful for the challenging workouts and road to rehabilitation. Brian Duncan, who manages the office, made sure to get us in with him or his amazing colleagues (Jaime, Blaine, Kaycee, or Sean Harris) -- they all worked us hard and instilled a love of exercise in my son (and rekindled it in me!). The facility is clean, well staffed with equipment and physical therapists, and has enough space for all kinds of exercise (by the end of my knee rehab, they had me playing volleyball in the facility). Plus, added bonus -- theres a fun vibe there with upbeat people and music!

Treatment and service was great however, they unknowingly billed me as a emergency hospital visit and charged $5,000 per visit and I owed $400 per visit out of pocket. I had an exceptional rehab experience at Memorial Hermann! What an amazing facility! They are lacking absolutely nothing in quality equipment and personnel. Everyone I encountered during my time there was friendly, personable and encouraging. After having dealt with extreme, intermittent pain in my lower back for a number of years and finally desiring to do something about it, my physician decided to send me here. As I am an experienced endurance athlete with a high level of fitness, he assured me that Memorial Hermann was the type of rehabilitation center that could challenge me like no other. Fortunately for me, I was assigned to Diem Puckett, who is an absolute gem of a physical therapist! I must have done something right in a previous life to deserve her, because the professionalism, knowledge base, motivation and care which she displayed toward me during my time there, you just cant put a price on it! So much so that I ACTUALLY looked forward to attending my twice-a-week therapy sessions! Who would have imagined!? I ended my therapy, not only healed, but without a doubt, a stronger man than when I came in. All thanks to her! Special is too weak a word to define just how extraordinary she is. I hear she has since moved on to Results Physiotherapy in Sugarland. This is certainly a loss for Memorial Hermann as she was truly an angel in disguise. How else to explain her healing power? However, it is good to know that if I need physical treatment for anything else in the future, that is where I can find her!

Update: still unable to work from their negligence. Paying thousands to help correct their injuries on my feet.Within 2 visits, I was injured by the PT and left unable to walk - still not able to work or walk. I was injured under his supervision, lack of, at the facility. It was negligence on his part, as defined by regulations set forth in the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. He was supposedly MH’s back expert and the most knowledgeable so I trusted him and followed His instructions. I now have nerve injury as a result (Can’t go into details here). For patients with serious radiculopathy: be careful if you have to go there, you could end up with needing back surgery. Minor problems: the manager didn’t show up for his appointment nor was I informed until after I waited for an hour; management of the facility was poor in communication; and PTs treat multiple patients at the same time compromising treatments and safety. This is the worst PT & facility in my experience.
