With a client, Ive been trying to get in touch with this store for months. Theyve never been open when weve called and theyve never returned calls (Im sure theyre staffed by volunteers so the schedule is dependent on when the volunteers are available). The client, becoming more desperate, asked me to try again. This time they were open so I dropped what I was doing and drove over. Were looking for a handheld electronic magnifier. The stores selection of products is small. The devices that the clerk showed me were not charged (maybe they dont get much traffic in the store so keeping them charged is not useful). We were able to plug them in so I was able to evaluate them. The clerk was mostly, if not completely, disinterested in helping me. He spent most of his time in the back room looking at his phone instead of telling me about the devices. He said they dont take Medicare and dont offer discounts.

My brother is visually impaired. His cane broke, and, asked me to take him to get a new one. We dropped by and the doors were all locked. Michael ended up coming to the doors. He told us we need a appointment to drop by because of the pandemic. I told him I tried calling, but, the message I received was that the line was busy. Michael asked what we needed, and, we told him. He ended up going back inside to get another cane for my brother, and, allowed him to pay for it with his credit card. Thanks to Michaels assistance, my brother has his eyes again!

This is a GREAT place. It does alot of good in our community, by helping people who are visually impaired. On Monday October 15, It is national white cane observance day. This Monday, I encourage everyone to be especially aware of visually impaired pedestrians with a white cane as they cross the street and go about their day.
