I have seen Dr. Fadem since1992. He has treated my whole family and is incredibly knowledgeable about kidney treatment.

Dr. Fadem is a practicing Houston nephrologist. He began practice in 1978 after completing a renal fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and did his internal medicine residency at The University of Texas and MD Anderson Hospital in Houston. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of medicine. Among other awards and honors, Dr. Fadem is the recipient of the Peter Lundin Award for his contributions to patient education, the AAKP Visionary Award for his accomplishments in developing CKD education initiatives, and the NKF Distinguished Service Award. He is among the top 1% of nephrologists in the nation named as one of Americas Top Doctors by Castle Connolly, and has been listed among Houstons Top Doctors (H Texas Magazine). He is listed as a Doctors Choice, one of the top physicians in Houston as voted upon by peers, and is also listed among the top 1% of the nations top doctors by U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Fadem has served on the Board of the Renal Physicians Association, and is currently chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, AAKP. He is from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The annual National Kidney Foundation Serving Texas Symposium was named in his honor from 1999 through 2011. He is currently chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, National Kidney Foundation Serving Texas.He is the editor of two nephrology texts, Issues in Dialysis and Essentials of Chronic Kidney Disease.
