I have been a patient of Dr Lazaro Cherem since 2018. My kidney function has gone from being unstable before I was treated by Dr Cherem to being stable under his care. He is a very good listener and is very responsive to my questions and concerns. I like his communication style. It makes it easy for me to know the things that I can focus on that are going to help. He has also been very proactive in trying new medicines, based on his experience that have definitely helped. He sees me regularly and knows my history when we meet. I am very lucky to have Dr Cherem as my doctor.

I have worked in dialysis for over a decade and one of my favorite physicians ever is Dr. Lazaro Cherem. Over the years, I have seen firsthand how passionate and knowledgeable he is about nephrology. Its reassuring to know he rounds on his patients weekly and sometimes more often than that! That allows him to keeps up with and sort out patient problems before they can become bigger issues and his patients appreciate that, too. He has pleasant mannerisms and is wonderfully fluent in Spanish which, to be honest, is crucial because the reality is almost half of the areas dialysis population is Hispanic. And that is why I think very highly of Dr. Cherem and pleased he is one of our clinics doctors.

I was referred to Dr. Cherem from my PCP. I had a sudden unexplainedincrease in blood pressure that did not respond to the most common blood pressure medications. On my initial visit with Dr. Cherem he took his time collecting all the details with genuine care. He has since diagnosed me Liddle Syndrome a rare for of hypertension. He prescribed the one medications that is successful in the treatment of my hypertension and this has been a success. I am very grateful for his knowledge and his patient care.

For almost 18 years, he has been misdiagnosed and thereby mistreated. Dr. Cherem took him as a patient and had a correct diagnosis and treatment protocol within 48 hours. 48 HOURS vs 18 YEARS. That is at least 75,000 unnecessary prescription pills that my husband would not have taken had he seen Dr. Cherem in 1997 when we first knew he had a problem.

As a medical student, I was blessed to step into this doctors office and be an observer of his practice and way of living. The patients relationship is just mesmerising. He observe, listen carefully and answer all patients concerns. He is a wise and cultivated person. He enrolls himself in patients life in such a way that many times it seems he wasnt treating patients but treating close friends. I was referred to Dr. Cherem by a Top Cardiologist, Dr. Richard Leachman. Dr. Leachman was concerned my kidneys had been damaged by a long running up and down with blood pressure. My former cardiologist, before Dr. Leachman, even though rated a super doc, was unable to get it under control. I was super impressed with Dr. Leachman, enough to send both of my adult children to see him. My trust in Dr. Leachman was enough to trust his admiration for Dr. Cherem. After my first visit with Dr. Cherem, I was also sold on this Man. His calm humor and ability to express my condition in a calm positive manner, was refreshing. His frank, honest explanation, with his willingness to spend all the time I needed to stabilize my shock at the diagnosis was rare with most doctors. He clearly explained my options and gave me a clear direction to follow. to prolong my need for dialysis. Following his direction and his modification of my blood pressure medications resulted in immediate drop and stabilization of my blood pressure. Typical results, 116/68 to 128/75 range, better than Ive experienced in thirty years. Now after one year, my lab results show normal on all test, including my kidney function. Even Dr. Cherem is impressed at a very rare occurrence, the reversal of my condition. I give all thanks to God, through Dr. Cherems Direction. How can I ever thank this wonderful, kind, thoughtful man, Dr. Cherem, for my life. Hes more than just a Doctor, Hes My FRIEND. God Bless You My Friend.
