Someone finally called; They were very helpful. I wish they had answered, and given more information the first time I called, instead of just offering the web site. My issues could not be solved on the web, but when I first call I only got a recored message referring me to the web site.

I went to MH Outpatient imaging to get a CT scan done. The CT scan part was excellent, but what happened before hand is terrifying.The tech was trying to put an IV in. I am not someone bothered by needles, I donate blood. He pushed the needle in and missed. He exclaimed I can rescue this. Not sure what he did, I blacked out. Next remember waking and wondering where I was, thought I was waking up to go to work. Kept blacking out, and at one point I could hear someone say she is coding, we need to call 911.Since then my arm has been going numb and tingling. While walking today it was numb and had some pain. The pictures below are my arm over the course of a week. The day it happened is the first, then 3 days later, 1 week later and both of my arms together. I feel like there is some damage done, and my arm is withering.Next week will go see an orthopedist specializing in arms. Think that this experience has not only damaged the vein, but some nerves as well.MH you took the money before the procedure, and did not bother to call a patient back after a bad experience. You sent me a survey I filled it out and explained what happened, still have not heard back from anyone. What does it take to get a response?

I had a very pleasant experience when visiting this imagining center for a Hida scan. The minute I walked in, the front desk was young woman was kind and helpful, and so nice! The two technicians who did my scan were both so calm and had wonderful bedside manners. I was immediately informed of the procedural aspects of my scan, and what to expect. Would like to add that Andrew, who inserted the IV, had such a gentle touch that I did not even feel it. And Christopher talked me through the procedure and made sure that I was comfortable the whole way through. Kudos to this imagining center for their kindness, helpfulness, and nurturing manner to their patients. Would recommend and return for imagining purposes etc.

I was denied the service. Wouldnt you think that with this Covid they will be a little accommodating. I have my insurance, I made the appt, and they denied me the service because my Obgyn didnt send them the order prior to me scheduling. They know Im due because I do it there every year with them, same place, they know who my Obgyn is, they know Im insured, and still, I was denied the service. Instead of saying lets do the exam and you call your Obgyn tomorrow and tell her to send us the form......no, they are going to make me go there again,...well not really...maybe I should go to another imaging center, someone who is a little more understanding that in these times or we change our squares minds or ...

Great experience! After my CT Scan I misplaced my top. Everyone went out of their way to find it. After much a do, it was found! Thank you for all the kindness shown to me. It was greatly appreciated

Today is 01-02-2020 I had my MRI. Tiffany (registration) and Diane (Radiology Tech) were very professional made everything wonderful and easy. I admire there attitudes and professionalism. I had a bad experience and the Hedwig location but these two ladies made this experience excellent.

The staff if this place has the WORSE communication skills. I was told when I provided my insurance information when making my appointment that if a copay was needed, I would be called to be told what that amount was. I never got a call, so naturally I didn’t think I had a copay.I arrived at the center at my appointment time (they want you there 15-30 min early). The lady who checked me in called to make sure I could still be seen since I was now “late”. When she got off the phone, she handed me some paperwork to fill out, asked for my ID and insurance card, and told me I would hand in the paperwork when called. After waiting for 45 minutes, I went to check with the desk when I would be seen. I was told I was next in line. Another 30 minutes passed before I was called. At this point, I now had 55 minutes to get the imaging and drive home for a 10am meeting.I’m finally speaking with the lady at the booths where they discuss insurance. She tells me my copay is $771. I didn’t have my HSA card because I wasn’t told in advance that I would have a copay. I was then told that I would have to pay half of this exorbitant copay right now in order to receive the imaging. Oh, I was also told at this point that the reason my wait was so long is because my appointment was moved to 9:15am (original appointment was 7:45am). The lady who checked me in NEVER TOLD ME SHE WAS PUSHING MY APPOINTMENT BACK. I was also NEVER TOLD IN ADVANCE ABOUT THIS EXORBITANT COPAY. I had to leave because I had a work meeting at 10am, plus I wasn’t prepared to pay over $300. Needless to say, I wasted 1.5hrs of my morning to receive no imaging due to poor communication of this centers staff. If you need imaging, go elsewhere! There are plenty of other options for imaging centers.

The customer service is excellent. The representatives listen well. My biggest concern was billing and insurance. With insurance, I was quoted $1047 for a mammogram and breast ultrasound. I called my insurance and confirmed that I did not need to pay for a yearly mammogram and breast ultrasound. Please be your own health advocate!

Very irresponsible staff! Did not bother to call and inform that the machine is broken and the appointment had to be rescheduled, he was very casual about forgetting to call us. They don’t seem to care for people’s emotions or their time what so ever! What’s the point of having good doctors if the support staff sucks!

No one enjoys having to have a MRI or medical scan. And. I was the most leary of all. From the moment I was greeted by Petra to having the scan done by Jim, the experience was better than I expected. If I ever have to have imaging done again, it will definitely be there. Thanks Petra and Jim!

The answering and scheduling system is a nightmare. Ive tried several times to get through over the last week, only to be forced to hang up after a long hold time (10+ minutes). Today, I finally got through....but then the operator muted the call and ultimately dropped it. I could hear typing in the background, so Im fairly certain the call was connected and live.I cant imagine how frustrating and scary this place must be for folks that require urgent attention but cannot get it. Im scheduling elsewhere because -- lets face it -- if they cant get it right on the front end with something as simple as scheduling, then they shouldnt be trusted to get anything else right, either. Booooooo!!!!

Do not let them lie to you and say you need to get both an mammogram and ultrasound. They are trained high pressure sales man trying to push their products on to you. They charged me $72 to do the mammogram but wanted to charge me $500 for the ultrasound and i didnt even go there for for an ultrasound. After my mammogram they sent me a bill for almost $300 for the Radiologist just to look at my xrays!! There are tons of imaging places around Houston that charges a fraction of the pric for both mammograms and ultrasounds. When you walk in a hospital you are paying for everyone that works there, all costs including the janitor, air conditioning etc. Do your research!

Ive been a frequent visitor and have nothing but high praise for this organization. Ive stayed at the hospital several times and Ive been to the Out-Patient Surgery area a few times too. Ive also attended Diabetes classes there. Each visit has been friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

ANSWER YOUR PHONE ON THE WEEKENDS. YOU CANNOT NOT HAVE A PERSON STANDING BY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ON THE WEEKEND ON THE PHONE ABOUT IMAGING ON THE WEEKENDS. PATIENTS HAVE IMAGING SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEKENDS AND HAVE QUESTIONS ON SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS YOU CANT JUST LEAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOU TO RETURN OUR CALLS ON MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM STEP 1 TRYING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IT TOOK 16 MINUTES JUST FOR THEM TO ANSWER THE PHONE. WE DID HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY AT 4 AND WE WERE THERE AND THEY HAD NO RECORD OF THE APPOINTMENT? JASMINE AT THE FRONT DESK WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL AND ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR,SPOKE WITH HER SHE SAID THE INSURANCE FOR THE MRI HASNT BEEN APPROVED YET? NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM THEM TO REFLECT THAT STATUS? SO WE LEFT, I CALLED INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY SAID IT WAS APPROVED LAST WEEK? WOW !!! FURTHERMORE,ITS CLEAR THIS DEPARTMENT IS NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH THEIR COMMUNICATION WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES? THIS APPOINTMENT WAS FOR MY 80 YEAR OLD FATHER IN-LAW ,AT LEAST THE SUPERVISOR COULD HAVE TAKEN THE INITIATIVE TO AT LEAST TAKE A MOMENT TO CHECK WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY WHILE WE WERE PRESENT???? Great staff, professional and caring....my one complaint....if you need a needle biopsy..and they tell you it doesnt hurt and that youll be fine with Tylenol...just know thats a total LIE. I really wish health care professionals would just be honest so you would know what to expect. I usually have a high tolerance for pain.....12 hours after my procedure and Im in so much pain its ridiculous!

I am not sure why Memorial Herman is the ONLY and I mean the ONLY medical facility that I use that will not bill me. My card STATES that the facility should not take payment at the time of service. I can go anywhere else and when they give me a payment amount, I point that, they ALWAYS allow me to pay nothing or a minimal $25. NOT Memorial Herman. I canceled an appointment for this clinic a few days ago because they were charging me a $153 for an procedure that I have almost EVERY year and I came to MH last year in JANUARY for this same procedure and was charged $155. I was told that I had not met my deductible, so that is why I had to pay the full amount. It being January, I assumed they were correct and I paid it. I got a letter a few weeks later from my HSA/MRA saying that I owed them $136 and that access to my medical card was suspended until I paid the plan back. This took almost 2 months because MH would not expedite that refund and I could not take off work and bring that card in for an refund to the card. So this year, I am going thru the same thing. I canceled an appt I had on Friday because I was just going to go to Kelysey Seybold and have the Ultrasound done but I found out that would be complicated, so I made another appt today. I got a message that this SAME PROCEDURE was now going to be $356. Makes no sense, and I will just have to let them hold that much of my HSA/MRA money hostage until they figure it out and then next year go thru it all over again. I love my Lady Doctor and he is the ONLY reason, I deal with this crap but I am going to be proactive next year and get him to create this order in advance, so that I can go somewhere else. BOTTOM LINE, my card indicates not to take payment at the time of service for a reason and I just dont get why that is so hard to follow. I am OK, paying a small copay like $25/30 bucks but not almost $400. I am 100% positive that I will not owe that much. UNLESS you have to, go elsewhere. Memorial City deserves a Methodist or a Private Hospital, I never like Memorial or Herman when they were separate and I them together is an combination mess.

Awful answering service - both people and voice system. The operator picks up and hangs up on several of my calls on numerous occasions. And the voice system just put you thru a loop. God help me if I ever have an urgent medical need.

Over one hour and a half waiting because their system was down. As I waited, the office staffed giggled and was Face-timing. I was given a 10 minute time frame twice by the staff over 40 minutes. I hope to never have to come here again.
