After becoming a new mom last year and reading the amazing reviews about this place I was really looking forward to my appointment with Danielle. However, as soon as I came in the door I noticed no one in there was wearing a face mask. This is after the cdc updated it’s recommendation of wearing face mask indoors for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, so I thought that was a bit concerning to me, but the receptionist was very nice and before I came in to the back I asked if my therapist could please wear a face mask for my session to which she said yes. Danielle greeted me unmasked and once in the room she told me she had asthma, she didn’t even know If they had any masks and that they never really wore masks specially since the order was lifted which I totally understand, but I just thought they would be more accommodating to a new client concerned about covid. I told her I would be more comfortable if she wore one since I have kids who are unable to get a vaccine because of their age. She totally ignored me like that wasn’t her problem and just said “well I can wear it while you’re facing up but when your facing down I’m not gonna be close to your face, but I don’t think we have any masks here it’s up to you or we can just refund you if you’re not comfortable” I was just so sad and disappointed and said ok. She proceeded to tell me which way the door was. She made sure I could tell by her attitude that she was offended I had asked for her to wear a mask. I didn’t expect them to be so unwilling to accommodate and it really felt like she just wanted me to leave. I’m glad they didn’t have a problem refunding me for the session, but It was just a bad experience specifically since I had high expectations from this place.

I have to say I felt welcomed from the beginning and they helped me through the process. Danielle was amazing! I came in with back pain that wouldn’t go away and came out walking perfectly like a baby! Truly listened to what I needed help with and made sure to work in those areas. As for the owner, she is sweet and can’t wait to come back soon! I highly recommend you to go visit. When it comes to your health being money shouldn’t matter but quality, and they have that!

I have been to Kinetic Massage Works twice now and I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, their professionalism and most importantly, their skills. Ive been dealing with pain and stiffness from sports injuries, scoliosis since childhood, car accidents and most recently a major ATV accident that almost left me with missing limbs. Since the accident I have been living with severe residual pain in my neck, shoulders, hips, lower back and legs. Seeing how much pain I was in on a daily basis, my boyfriend convinced me to go and visit his massage therapists by booking an appointment. He knew I would never book it myself as Ive always been very uncomfortable with people touching me.When I arrived for the first session, Micaela made me feel at ease even despite my reservations about being touched. I was strict on what I would and wouldnt allow her to work on so, while I felt some relief, I did not feel the full relief I would have had I been more open to letting her use her expertise.Fast forward a couple months and the boyfriend again surprised me with another massage. However, I was quite a bit more at ease with someone touching me this time and I allowed the therapist to take control and use her expertise to work out the years of damage, stress and pain my body was holding. After the 90 minute massage I instantly felt a huge relief and I gained mobility and flexibility in every part of my body. It was quite noticeable even just getting dressed and putting on my shoes.I am scheduled this week for my third appointment and I cannot accurately explain how excited I am to get back on the table and continue the progress toward a better quality of life.

I’ve been battling a severe case of tennis & golfer’s elbow for about a year now. I’ve tried everything I know of, along with whatever my doctor has recommended. I’m a big golfer, and am playing in the US Open qualifier on 5/17. I was willing to do anything for some kind of pain relief prior to my tournament. I have been getting massages regularly for over 20 years. Ive had good, bad, and so-so... Im small, but not the easiest to work on. No one ever gets it right the first time, and never in 1 hour only. Micaela did- and with very little input. Very professional and knowledgeable. Pressure was on point! Demonstrated great variation/control depending on what the different muscles needed.

My mother and I had such a great time that we brought my father, brother, and sister back as soon as our sessions were finished. I was concerned I wasn’t going to get the intense deep tissue work that I accustomed to with the Rolfer therapist and my concern was unwarranted . Cyndy utilized a variety of very effective techniques with all the deep tissue work I could hope for . She is very accomplished and clearly loves what she does .Yay for CindyIt’s was a win win win !

I have received, at this point three massages from Micaela. She does a great therapeutic deep tissue massage, which brings pain relief to my lower back. I have chronic low back problems and Micaela at Kinetic is the only person who has been able to work those tough spots and, while its not euphoric at the time, by the next day my back is pain-free! This is not a frilly, overpriced day spa. If you are looking for that, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for fantastic, therapeutic massage, book an appointment!

Recently I had a 2 hr DT massage with Michaela and like ALWAYS my massage was MAGNIFICENT!!!! I am originally from Ohio and have been here in Houston for 5 yrs now. Back at home I had the same Therapist for 12 yrs. Now that I live here, I have been in search of developing the same relationship with a Therapist here and I must admit Michaela is it!!!! My only issue is that I cannot see her as often as I would like due to my work schedule (I travel a lot), being a single parent and where it live in comparison to where Kinetic is located (its 45 mins away). Saying all that to say, if you are in need of a massage, enjoys a great atmosphere and comfort, like a true DEEP TISSUE with PLENTY of pressure Kinetic Massage works is the place for you!

Terrific, relaxing, massage experience. You will likely fall asleep, depending on the type of massage you ask for from the therapist. Very professional staff with lots of experience. I have tried to use the chain massages before, but I have found that unless you are lucky, you usually end up with a therapist that is just starting out. With my back, and the limited amount of time that I have to focus on ME, I need an experienced therapist. You will find that here.

Been having a tingling sensation in my right shoulder blade (rhomboids). Went to see Micaela and after an hour of deep tissue massage (and two days of muscle soreness) its much better. This is not your standard cookie cutter massage spa rub down, this is targeted problem solving. Highly recommended.

I am EXTREMELY picky! Its hard to find a true therapist that knows the difference between a Deep Tissue Massage and a Swedish Massage. No matter what you say you get the same thing. I got exactly what I asked for and when she asked what parts needed most attention, she concentrated in those areas. Not like most that will do what they want because its part of their routine. I cant wait to go back. If I could afford it, I would be a weekly customer!

I have been getting massages from Silahis for a few months and I have never had a disappointing visit. As someone who works in front of a computer all day, she always knows exactly where to put the right amount of pressure to relieve my muscle tension. The environment is relaxing, easy to get to, and clean.

I have been seeing Micaela since March 2017. I was suffering with lower back pain for over 9 months and had tried everything from Physical Therapy to dry needling. I didnt even know what caused my back pain other than overtraining. My doctor finally suggested I find a massage therapist specializing in deep tissue and pain relief. I found Kinetic massage works and it has been life changing ever since. Honestly, the first several times were pretty painful and I did not experience immediate pain relief. I was wondering if it was even working but decided to give it some time. I had lower back pain but found out that it was related to my extremely tight glutes. This is probably why nothing was working previously. Roughly month 2, I was noticing that I wasnt so annoyed with daily activities due to my pain level. I was finally feeling some progress. This was a huge deal because before seeing Micaela, I was getting so frustrated that nothing was working and I wouldnt be able to exercise again. I have been in a maintenance stage for the last 8-10 months. When I started exercising in Feb, I went every 2 weeks for a few months to make sure my back/glutes didnt relapse. This has been a process, but it truly has worked for me and I couldnt be happier. Im doing yoga 2-3 times per week and running 3-4 times per week now. I see Micaela every 3-4 weeks now but it really depends on my exercise load. Deep tissue has worked for my lower back pain, but it didnt happen overnight. My best advice is to give it time and be consistent.

I have had amazing massages from both Silahis and Mikaela. I was really pleased when Mikaela told me she could work on my jaw muscles and neck to help relieve my TMJ pain. It was wonderful.
