My husband is recovering from successful procedure to drain a subdural hematoma. He is doing great! Walters Tower is a Beautiful building with large rooms with sofa type bed for guest overnight stay. More importantly, the brilliant and caring doctors and nurses were attentive and went the extra mile to care for him! It actually happened that when he was in ICU and I was confused about my husband’s procedure, his nurse asked a neurologist to come to our room to answer my questions. Dr Schwartz came to our room and explained the procedure and patiently answered all of our questions! The nursing staff was efficient, pleasant, professional and caring. They were quick to answer our call and never seemed rushed. Housekeeping was excellent! Vanessa would see a bed leaving the room and rush in to sanitize and mop under the bed ! The culture of the whole hospital is one of helpfulness! Several times, when I had that “lost look” on my face, an employee passing by would ask if they could help. Chad walked with me to the cafeteria and then continued on his way. A very friendly lady walked with me to the Marriott ensuring I saw the entrance before she went on her way. The brilliant Dr. Britz, head of the neurology department, put our minds at ease by speaking of the procedure as if it were childs play. He visited in Pre-Op and after in ICU.The entire process was very efficient! Wednesday, We began at our PCP office who agreed he was having stroke-like symptoms. They transferred our information to Methodist Emergency on Voss Rd where a CAT scan showed a brain bleed. The ER arranged for my husband to be transferred to Houston Methodist on Fannin only after he was assigned a bed. He was taken directly to his room about 8:30 pm. Shortly, a doctor said he needed surgerytomorrow. Thursday, He had successful procedure to drain hematoma. The Operating room kept me informed during procedure. Saturday, We came home and I have yet to give anyone a credit card or fill out any financial papers. My husband signed consent form for surgery. Never has it been so hassle-free to be in the hospital! I would rate 1000 stars if I could!

Great medical care and staff, the Valet is extremely incompetent and rude though. Theres no reason why a glorified errand boy with driving privileges gets to speak with customers and other staff members with such rudeness. He should be demoted to janitor with his demeanor, it certainly fits him.

I can’t thank this Hospital enough, my father contracted covid pneumonia back in August and was transferred over to Walter tower downtown Methodist from Willow brook due to being on ECMO support. Although it was tough without his presence with us the doctors and nurses didn’t give up and managed to help my pops and many others see more days of light, they kept me updated daily about procedures and new medications/arrangements etc., they would offer and let me see my dad through a iPad tablet to video chat and lots more. Thank you so much Houston Methodist and every single nurse/doctor you really make a difference in families lives.🙂

I cannot say enough good about Houston Methodist. Our entire team! All the doctors, nurses, kitchen and cleaning staff. Every person gave it all to make sure my husband was comfortable and cared for, I get completely emotional just thinking about it. Not sure thank you is enough, they go above and beyond.

Ruby on the 11th floor Walter tower on Tuesday may 21st , sits at the sign I desk horrible horrible person. It was my first time there. My uncle had a stroke and I came to see him. She was soooo rude was scolding me because I didnt know it was one person at a time so I told my wife to go back. And she yelled at her because she didnt know hot to open the door to exit. My kids were waiting outside in the waiting area with my sister and she yelled at us to take them downstairs so we listened right away without and argument then she still said shes calling security.RUBY your are a racist bigot and will be reported.Have some sympathy for people who are coming to see their sick loved ones...
