So what does this place do for you. They furnish you all the comforts but you pretty much have to handle everything yourself. When you call in hospice you are most likely upset because your loved one is dying. This place can be harsh when you call in and ask questions. Some people are nicer than others but overall the whole process wasnt explained well to us. My brother is dying and we were told that today we would receive a hospital bed and some other equipment and it is 8:42 pm and we are still waiting. I called to ask how are we supposed to move my unresponsive brother to the hospital bed and was told we dont do that you will have to get someone to help you or call the fire department. The woman was so harsh to me on the phone just bluntly saying over and over we dont do that. We only provide the stuff and you have to handle everything yourself. I guess this hospice place doesnt offer grief support either like my hometown hospice. Overall, I am finding Dignity Team Health a very confusing company. I wouldnt recommend them. Update 12/28/18. My brother died shortly after posting this review. We contacted Dignity hospice not long before he died to see if a nurse could come out because we felt like he was getting close to the end. They wouldnt come out until we notified them about his death. After pronouncing him dead the next thing they want is the unused drugs so they can dispose of them in front of you while you are trying to deal with your loss. I feel like the drug disposal could wait until another time. They sure were not in a hurry to get the equipment to my brother that might have made his last day more comfortable. Their website makes it seem like they do all manners of things for someone but I sure didnt see that from my experience with them.
