Let me update 08.05.2021 - finally received a statement today - does not reflect a remit to address - have been on the phone now for 20 minutes and was told by rep not sure where payment should be sent to - asked if I could send to the Spring address and was advised that would not work - I have been an accountant for years and cant believe this is how you run your business - a remit to address is something each of your customer service reps should know. I am so disgusted with Apria - would not recommend you to anyone! Billing Department - had a wheelchair delivered that was covered by insurance - Apria called to say we had a small co-pay we would have to pick up - no problem. Was originally told that we owed $71.00 in rental charges for 3 months - asked for a bill - was told we had to email them to request a bill - sent email 3 times - received nothing. Called Apria and was told the charge was incorrect - only owed $21.00 ($7.00 per month) - again asked for a bill nothing received. Call again today and once more asked for a copy of the bill - rep (very nice) took email info again and sent me a test email - stated it would now take 24-48 hours to receive the billing. I will not pay unless I have a hard copy of the charges - why is it so hard to get them to send you a copy of your bill - they call to try and collect but cant seem to get them to provide docs. Asked if I wanted to give them my banking info or credit card info - absolutely not! I also stated that I would go ahead and pay in advance - asked if the account could have a credit balance that would be reduced each month by the new rental charge - rep advised was not sure how or if that would work. Apria I dont have a problem paying you but you have to participate as well!

Update: Its been two weeks and still nothing. I even replied back to their response below and have not heard back from them. I have made two more calls to them and still get its in processing but do not know when the order will be shipped. I still have not received a call from a manager either. I have been promised that a manager would call me back to discuss this issue. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!I have been trying since Nov 20 to get a replacement CPCP machine. Mine is making a horrific noise and I am not getting good sleep at night with or without it. As of yesterday I have made 16 phone calls to Apria since November to get my CPAP replaced. I have heard every excuse from my insurance will not pay for a replacement machine, they do not have an updated prescription, the order was not keyed in, the recall is delaying shipment, the order was for supplies instead of a CPAP machine, I could go on and on. Every conversation ends with, I just dont understand why this order is not going through. I have been promised twice that I would be called back after they consult with their manager but have yet to receive a phone call from them. At this point I have spoken to every available representative in the office except for the Manager. Yesterdays call once again ended with a promise to call me back after they follow up with the manager, Im still waiting for that call back.

This company was selected by Doctor when I was going to be released from St. Luke ICU and needed to remain on oxygen therapy. They delivered one none refillable oxygen tank and agreed to meet me at home. I ran out of oxygen before they even showed up. I had to call the company numerous time. When the employee he only had two small the oxygen machine and two small refillable oxygen thank, he promised to delivery remaining equipment Saturday morning. All day went by and he never delivered. I contacted the company they told me they retaining equipment would be deliver till Monday. On Saturday the power went out in the neighborhood. I called they showed no compassion and said I would not get any other oxygen til Monday.. I was lucky that the electricity came back on. Late Sunday an employee showed up late at night with a large oxygen tank for back up and a machine to refill the smaller thank.Ive got taken off oxygen therapy yesterday and they were scheduled to pick up the equipment today between 2 pm and 4 pm. I called after 4 because they had not showed up. They told me the equipment would be picked up today but 4:45 p.m. Its 7 pm and still no signed of them. Just wonder if they are going to charge my insurance for the extra days. I guess my time is not valuable they did not keep their commitment. I had errands postponed cause I was waiting on them most of the day today.St Lukes need to stop using them and resort to a more reliable company.

Just called to ask some questions about a claim and spoke with Linda. She must be having a bad day, and everyone is entitled to one, but she answered the phone just angry. Throughout my 20min conversation, she was SUPER condescending, and completely dismissive of my questions to the point of literally just not speaking when I asked her what was needed for my claim. When asked directly what I needed for a claim, she audibly guffawed and just repeated the same thing she has already said, not clarifying anything, and making it seem as though there would be more hoops to jump through after I passed the intial two qualifications she had explained. If everyone has to deal with her, I can see why this company has less than 2 stars.

I am hesitant to give APRIA 5 stars. It is evident from a high percentage of reviews that it has some serious problems from top to bottom. I do, however want to shine a light on an employee that truly went to great lengths to help me. Her name is Becky and I think her job title might be equipment expert. I don’t know her department. I was having trouble attaching my new CPAP mask to my tubing. I left a message and she called me back a little while later. We had a telehealth appointment so I could show her the problem, She diagnosed it immediately. Success. I really appreciated her working with me . She was very helpful.

My mom was discharged from a Houston hospital with oxygen. We told that once we arrive home that we need to call and let those people know so they could deliver the oxygen for the remainder of the night. Well I spent countless hours on the with an operator several times and the hospital who referred their services. This has to be the worst experience that I’ve ever seen and the rudest customer from the driver that attempted to call and said we had an outage in Lake Charles. When it’s a curfew. Medical needs are VERY IMPORTANT! ( i think he just didn’t want to get out that late. Even offered to meet him somewhere so my mom could get her oxygen and not in up back into the ER or being admitted again. But guess here we are back in the hospital thanks to Apria!

There is no option to put ZERO stars, as this is what they deserve. The did not bring me the mattress to their hospital bed, that my doctor prescribed. After telling my insurance company different things. I was forced to return their equipment and get my bed and mattress from another company. They were as timely picking up their equipment as they were getting it here, to begin with. I was treated rudely on the phone and even the rep from my insurance company said she has never had a supplier talk to her so rudely. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told I would have to call back and they were NEVER available. I have had to miss several days of physical therapy, just to have them come and get their equipment. The driver reported that I was not answering my phone or door and that he left a tag on my door. Which is completely untrue, I was NEVER contacted. They told the insurance company that they couldnt come back out for another 3 days because it takes 2 people to get a bed it took one person to setup. In situations like this, I really wish these reviews allowed negative stars.

During Harvey, my husband was in a skilled nursing facility and his oxygen concentrator and supplies were at our home, which flooded. I take full responsibility for not alerting Apria to the situation. When he left the facility and was moved to a personal care home, another company took over his oxygen needs. About 5 weeks ago, we received a phone call from someone at Apria who seemed extremely helpful. She expressed concern that we were using a company not covered by my husbands insurance and was more than happy to assist us. She promised us a delivery of a new Apria concentrator by 7:00 PM that evening and that she would cancel the other company and have them pick up their equipment. We are still waiting to see or hear from anyone at Apria. Called there yesterday and the first call was disconnected after 30 minutes. Called back and no one could connect us with the proper department for another 30 minutes. Finally disconnected. However, we are still being billed monthly for the concentrator and supplies. My husband is on oxygen 24/7 and if I could give this company 0 stars at this point, I would do so.

Funny they seemed to have got my credit card correctly. Well, after they called me 3/4 times to change times they said it was delivered and was delivered to the wrong address. As I write this they have 26 minutes to deliver it by tonight at 9:30pm. I doubt it will be here. Tomorrow I will be cancelling the payment, calling our insurance company to advise them of this companys ineffective service. This is probably the worst service I have ever received from a company in my lifetime. And the most important reason is because they lied to me. Not once, not twice, but three times. If I could give zero stars, I would. I was hoping to find better reviews from other peoples experience with Apria Healthcare than I had, but I see that many people feel the same way. I will be calling my doctor and asking to use someone else for my medical supplies. Communication is almost nonexistent at Apria; I would get someone different and have to explain the same thing over and over again. Apparently, there is different departments that handle different supplies, which is annoying and again they do not communicate between each other, so here I go having to explain the same thing over and over again. This is just a small example of the trouble I have had; over a month from my doctors visit and still have not received all of my supplies.

And everytime they called I asked if there was a charge for the mask since I know that you have to call within the first 30 days to get a free mask. So, I wanted to confirm and get a price. I was told on all 3 calls that they would wave the fees. I drove an hour in the pouring rain and waited in their office for 15 minutes, the lady comes and gets me, takes me to her office, sits behind her desk and says you know you have to pay for this, right? Is that ok? I said no, and told her about the phone calls and she says, who told you that? What is their names?, like I knew that. The following day came and still NO SHOW, NO CALL, NOTHING!!!! Even if they call or explained something occured and was unable to come, I would have understand. Needless to say my love one had to return to the hospital and guess who showed up after the fact!!!! A.P.R.I.A Medicare will also be notified about this substandard service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Rude, customer service. They do not listen to reason. They overcharge and will charge your card without your authorization.

The customer service is horrible! The representatives are rude. Today I have spent over 6 hours on the the phone with no results. I was hung up on 4 Times. I received several excuses today from the doctors haven’t completed paperwork to no payments have been made. I was in tears at one point. I have confirmed with doctors, Bank and insurance. I wouldn’t have given them one star But wanted to write the review to let others know to find another company.

I WISH I COULD PUT NO STARS!! This company should not be operating in the United States or anywhere in the world at that matter. I had an order that was sent in on February 1st and was confirmed with insurance and gave them everything they needed all on the same day. I was told that I would receive my order within 7-10 business days and that I would receive a call from the delivery department about my delivery. As it was getting closer to the end of the 7-10 business days, I was a little concerned if my order was still going to be coming. I gave a call and spoke with a supervisor and was told again that I would receive a call.. few days later and still no call. I called again to speak with another supervisor Roman, who promised me he would follow up with my order and call me the next day.. again, no call. At this point I am already a few days past the 7-10 business days they told me I would receive my CPM (Continuous Passive Motion) Machine. I called again to speak to another supervisor who again gave me the automated answer, we apologize we will escalate your order which would be the 3rd time now. Few days pass and of course no call or machine. At this point the process has already gotten tedious and speak to another supervisor who again gives me the same automated response . You would think after an order being escalated 4 times , somebody there would see that this problem is passed urgent. Now I am desperate to get an answer and would not settle with we are sorry , we will escalate your order and somebody will call you which nobody has called me ONCE at this point. So I insist to speak with someone of higher rank than the supervisor because obviously the supervisors there do not have the power to make anything happen whatsoever. Upon requesting to speak with someone higher up , a lady gave me a hard time and didnt not want to forward me to someone higher up without me telling her my need of wanting to speak to someone higher up , which I felt was completely unnecessary and the matter was out of her power. So finally after going back and forth she tells me to hold for a lady named Emerald who was supposedly higher than the supervisors. After explaining my situation and everything that was going on she wanted to give me the same response which I would not settle with, considering my order was a MONTH overdue and my doctor was expecting to be using the machine already. So I demanded that she get a hold of somebody from the delivery department and see what was going on. I was told from the previous supervisors that they only work through email but this Emerald was able to make a call to the department while I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally to come back and tell me she was not able to get any details but that they were going to call me within the next few minutes and they would explain the situation furthermore. So I insisted to stay on the phone until I received the call. Minutes later I got my first call ever from the company and was given a very simple we apologize but we do not have this machine and that they would call my doctor and have them forward me to someone else. Can you believe after over a month of waiting for this CPM machine , the final result is sorry we dont have this machine ? I was extremely furious to hear that. So I called my doctor which they have also been in touch with this Apria company to help speed up the process of my delivery , and explained to them everything that had happened and what was going on. My doctor told me that they had just gotten off the phone with them and it didnt end well.. that they had hung up on her and she was explaining to them the severity of what they had done and how it was wrong to treat their patients like this. So after it all, my doctor told me not to worry about the machine anymore since at that point I was already doing well with gaining back the mobility of my knee and just to keep up with my workouts they had given me as well as continue my physical Therapy. I WOULD NEVER IN A LIFETIME RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! DO NOT GO THROUGH APRIA

Apria did cause me problems in this way:1. Doctor prescribed Supplemental Oxygen & a Portable Oxygen Concentrator, but my doctor failed to provide all the needed information.2. After a few meager attempts to contact my doctor, Apria cancelled the order for my POC.3. My doctor finally provided Apria all the required information.4. APRIA failed to connect the information to the cancelled order and did absolutely nothing to resolve the situation.5. I gave Apria way too much time to resolve the issue and after almost two weeks, I inquired about my POC order.6. APRIA informed me that the order was cancelled, rather coldly.7. At this point my temper flared causing the assistant to put me on hold while she investigated the issue.8. The assistant admitted that they had received the required information about two weeks ago and they were reinstating the order.9. This is a condemnation of my doctor and Apria and shows that the patient must take absolute control of their medical needs and never trust anyone to perform their jobs as expected.10. In essence, the insurance company is the medical industrys customer and the patient is a nuisance they have to deal with.Be on your guard and always follow up on everything or you will be left in the trenches to rot.

An order for oxygen was sent to Apria by my pulmonologist on August 17th, 2018, in order that I would get enough 02 and not suffer anoxia. One might assume this would be handled quickly. Not even close.Today is September 6th, 2016 and it is supposed to be delivered today. This (hopefully fruitful) outcome has taken 3 full weeks of an unprecedented number of phone calls, frustration and confusion. Documents were hand delivered to Apria to move things along. Doctor’s office manager, insurance company and me and my family had to coordinate the impossible mess of trying to get an oxygen prescription filled.I echo the sentiments listed above by other one-star reviewers: we really would have been left in the trenches to rot, or suffocate as it were, and the competence of Apria’s customer service was deplorable. No one on level 1 would do anything. You must fight your way to a supervisor and hope you don’t get disconnected in the process and have to start all over again. One customer service rep HUNG UP on my husband. Another sent him back to the main menu.Apria had the wrong telephone numbers for my insurance company, a problem I discovered 3 business days after my prescription was sent to them and I was wondering where my 02 was.We and my physician have a long and detailed paper trail of conversations and faxes sent to Apria over the past 3 weeks. Honestly, we probably have grounds for a lawsuit. It’s bad enough to be incompetent with wheelchairs and toilet seats but anything related to breathing is criminal medical neglect. We had to purchase oxygen tanks from Red Oak medical supply for 2 weeks at a cost of nearly $400.We pay far too much to Blue Cross Blue Shield every month to justify Apria’s Incompetence. My husband is at this moment crafting a strongly-worded document to the head of HR at university of Houston, urging them to use their influence with BCBS to drop Apria as a Med supply contractor.Absolutely inexcusable.

Can not talk to the local branch, only customer service call center in the Philippines who are totally clueless, but very sorry for the inconvenience (thats all youll get from them). As a new CPAP user having a rough start, I requested a mask fitting and was told someone from the local branch would call me; still waiting for that call 4 weeks later, and counting. But their billing department dont fail to send the bills to my insurance company! Will be returning the useless equipment soon and hunting for a new provider due to poor/non-existent local customer service! I will NOT be recommending this company in anyone!SHAME ON YOU APRIA HEALTHCARE FOR LETTING ALL THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUE WITH THIS BRANCH! and all you give are generic Im sorry responses with no corrective actions being taken at the local level. It is apparent the problem is with the local management!

Take heed to the poor reviews and stay away from this company. The phone tree is circular, the customer service center is offshore and many of the customer service reps are not helpful. It is impossible to speak to someone at a local branch. It took me making 10+ phone calls to speak with multiple incompetent customer service reps over a 3 day period before they delivered O2 to me in my home. Do not use them.

This is by far the worst company i ever dealt with . Aside from having the minimum customer service, they do lie about their time , they say will be calling you back and never call and it took them forever to get you processed that is if you are lucky and got processed . My dad has a life threatening machine and it took them over a year to deliver and it is still not delivered . Finally i will change the company . Sorry to hear we do have such companies operating in our Country .

I have 2 days waiting for the equipment to arrive to feed my daughter, I have had to keep awake so that She can be fed, for the second time nothing comes to me and the worst thing is that I explain that it is something important and they tell me to deliver it today and they do not, the worst is that this morning I called and the person who is treating me very kind trying to help me calls those who send the equipment, the one from the team area says that I am trying to get more equipment because I am calling and saying that one thing in particular did not come to me. These medical teams are asked for a reason, and one is quite frustrated and Apria adds much more than it should, I called today at 8 pm and Antony answered me from the area of Billigue told me that the English area is 24 hours and not It is true. Im going to make an appointment with my pediatrician to not have them more as providers of the equipment, feeding my daughter by a tube is enough trauma for them to add me to apply more pain in the wound. This company is the worst.
