I am so thankful to have found Dr. Baniks office. As a new mom with a baby suffering from torticollis and plagiocephaly I was clueless as to how to address this issue. I was told by my pediatrician that the only way to address the flat head problem was getting him fitted for an uncomfortable and expensive helmet that he would have to wear 23 hours a day for many months. For some reason that just didnt sit well with me and I kept looking for better alternatives. After some research online I came across Dr. Banik who offered a solution with no helmet needed. Her assistant that answered the phone was very helpful and gave me so much information when I called the office the first time. Just after one visit my little boy was able to roll over on to his back and stomach for the first time at 7 months old. Thats because Dr. Banik didnt just focus on the flat head issue but also addressed his hips, back and neck to make sure everything was working together as it should. It was amazing to see the improvement in my babys head shape, too, just after a few visits. Im so happy to have found her and it was way less expensive than if I had gone the helmet route, not to mention way more comfortable for my baby which was my primary concern.

Dr. Banik is phenomenal. I first found her by searching for infant providers who could help with projectile vomiting for my newborn. He was gaining weight fine with breastfeeding but kept projectile vomiting. No ties and referred away from the pedi dentist and IBCLC. He never vomited again after her treatment and vomited multiple times per day before seeing her.I mentioned my SI joint pain while postpartum and how I was in PT that was unsuccessful. Two visits with her and my tearful pain was gone!The next year I was in a car accident, hit head on. I had a whiplashed shoulder and she worked the pain out within two visits.Last summer I sprained my neck and just went straight to her on day 2. I couldn’t move before seeing her. I left pain-free. She also helped a crick in my knee.Today I saw her again after 6 failed trips to a podiatrist for Plantar Fasciitis. I’ve done all of the typical things with no relief outside of the few days of oral steroids. I left her office there without pain or discomfort for the first time in nearly a year! I do expect to need a couple of more visits but she linked it to my older sciatic/lower back injury (which has been in remission a couple of years) and worked my foot up through the hip.Her magic hands are evidence-based and use real science as compared to bandaid chiropractors. There’s no back cracking here! It is pricey for her treatment but you can put it towards your insurance deductible. I’ve already spent nearly the same out of pocket with the podiatrist after insurance as I just paid her for today for actual relief.She is most certainly NOT a scam. While she may not be able to correct every ailment she is definitely worth every cent.Thanks Dr. Banik!

Scam! My wife is 33 and she had muscle and joint pains as well as headaches. We went to several different doctors and nothing helped. And one day somebody told us to see an osteopath. There are only 2-3 of them in the entire Houston. We saw Dr. Baniks reviews and jumped at their office. They told us we will stop looking for other doctors, since she will cure all her pains. I paid $400 for the 1st visit, $300 for the next 2 visits for my wifes treatment. Nothing changed, only temporary relief. $1,000 wasted. They dont even accept any insurance! Then, we went to an acupuncture for $70 and a chiropractor for $187 for 9 visits. She now feels so much better! And for only about one fourth of the cost of this scam clinic. I don’t know how Dr. Banik is with kids treatment, but definitely not good for adults!

Im so glad I brought my 1 month old in to see Dr. Banik! She favored one side pretty severely and was starting to get a flat spot on one side of her head. We worked with Dr. Banik over a 3 month time span to help loosen her neck which also helped with her spitting up! She no longer has a flat spot on her head, and her mobility is now developmentally where it needs to be. I will definitely be back with my second child if he/she needs it.

Dr. Banik is simply amazing, both as a professional and as a person. She treated our daughter soon after birth to help with her sucking reflex, head roundness and a few other issues. We noticed an immediate improvement in our daughter and treatment had the bonus effect that she started to sleeping though the night. In the end we resolved all of our daughters issues and she never needed to wear the dreaded helmet. :) In addition, rather she knew it or not, Dr. Banik was also treating me. I was a first time mom during a pandemic and Dr. Baniks provided me with support I didnt even know I needed. Her calming nature and positive spirit was a life line during a very stressful time.

Dr. Banik and her staff are nothing short of amazing! They are very professional, organized, and care about their patients. Dr. Banik treated my baby not only for torticollis and plagiocephaly, but reflux, eye ptosis and a clogged tear duct. God has truly blessed her with healing hands! If it weren’t for her we would be in a helmet. If you are contemplating alternatives like I was, I urge you to consult Dr. Banik. Not only is she very knowledgeable when it comes to her profession, but she has a passion for what she does and it shows. My baby loves her!! She’s truly changed our lives in a few short weeks!! I can’t thank her enough!

I came to Dr. Banik due to pneumonia during pregnancy and the tail bone pain. I felt better after the second visit. After few visits I forgot about back pain till the end of my pregnancy. I highly recommend Dr. Banik! She is also awesome and friendly! Even though I had to drive from San Antonio to Houston to see her, the results totally worth it!

I really cant recommend Dr. Banik highly enough! She is a wonderful person and a brilliant practitioner. I had ongoing hip and back pain; after a single session I woke up the next morning feeling better than I had in months! Its like the pain had disappeared over night.

After just one visit with Dr. Payel I felt more balanced, literally and lighter, as if the weights on my shoulders had been lifted. My range of motion was increased and the pain was considerably lessened. Last year I had severe sciatic nerve pain all the way down my right leg to the point that three of my toes and the outside half of my foot were completely numb. I could barely stand because it felt like my calf muscle was just going to snap and walking, or should I say shuffling, brought me to tears. I was in excruciating pain and I was pregnant. I tried two chiropractors and a neurologist before seeing Dr. Banik. The chiropractor would give me a bit of relief for a very short amount of time but never enough to walk upright for more than an hour. The neurologist blew me off and said it would go away after I had the baby so I would just need to “get thru it”. BUT…then I went to see Dr. Banik! She listened fully and was incredibly through with my health history and living habits, asking many questions. After doing an exam, she explained exactly what was happening and educated my husband and me on what she was doing as she “worked” on me. She showed him exactly how to stretch my muscles when they tightened back up and how to help me relieve the pain. She not only helped me then but gave us the knowledge to keep the pain at bay. This doctor truly has the heart of a teacher and her passion for helping people shows. I can honestly say I felt like more than just a paycheck to her… I felt like a friend. She even called me after the baby was born to check on me and our new little girl at least three times over the past nine months. She cares and heals (when no one else could). A perfect combination!

Dr. Banik was amazing! My infant daughter had moderate positional plagiocephaly with torticollis which was refractory to repositioning techniques recommended by physical therapy. She was recommended for a helmet. As a pediatrician myself, I did not want to go this route – it’s expensive, cumbersome, and the evidence for use in non-severe cases was not convincing. Many fellow physician moms suggested I find a DO who specialized in therapy for this specific issue. We could not have been happier with Dr. Banik. My daughter’s torticollis quickly resolved and her head shape has normalized after a few months. Dr. Banik explained everything as she was doing it, and I was never worried that any treatment would be dangerous or uncomfortable for my baby. She was a pleasure to visit each week, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it and would usually take a great nap after treatments. Additionally, my insurance agreed to cover the treatments once we discussed it with them. I recommend Dr. Banik with Osteopathic Healing Hands to anyone seeking a solution to this problem!

I was amazed at this ladies healing touch and her ability to completely effect positive change, naturally! I have had many different kinds of adjustments and massage treatments before but her knowledge, skill, talent, and incredible technique blow them all out of the water. I was very tight and hurting in several areas and she easily and incredibly addressed them ALL as well as other issues from way in the past that I had no idea were connected but their resolution sent me off way better than expected. Your body will respond very positively to Dr. Baniks healing touch I can almost gaurantee it! I live in Austin and I too would gladly travel the 4 hours to see Dr. Banik. I came to Dr. Banik in Sep. 2015 after a bad bicycle accident in April while training for a triathlon. Having substantial neck and mid-back pain, I was keenly hoping Dr. Banik would be able to help. She did not disappoint. Her gentle & skilled care over the next few months helped reduce the pain and facilitate healing. I especially appreciated that her goal was to get me to the point of “no return,” i.e., that I didn’t need to endlessly return for treatments. My 2-year old had been suffering from chronic ear infections and chronic constipation. For the ear infections, the traditional (allopathic) ENT specialist recommended ear tubes AND removing her adenoids.
