Review №1

The doctor is super sweet as well as the nurses in the back but the front desk is horrible, the women are rude, show no type of compassion even though they work with cancer patients, are lazy and are always gossiping amongst each other. They have been rude in more than one occasion and at this point it is ridiculous.

Review №2

This is my second review. I had originally given her a very positive one because I liked her bed side manned and the rate at which she was handling my care. I was actually working closer with a liver surgeon who was willing to operate on my stage 4 colon cancer that has gone to my liver. They’re plan sounded amazing and the first part was. I try to stay in gratitude every day.But I have been able to get into MD ANDERSON and thank GOD for this! This is the best cancer center in the world! Do they give you the warm fuzzy feeling that everything’s fine? No, not really. Methodist treats people and MDA treats cancer! They’re very real and very serious. But their plan was 100-% different from what Dr Desai had planned for me. I also found out things like I have a module that is concerning to my current team of doctors as they don’t know what that is that was on the pet scan Desai ordered. She never informed me of this nodule. Also, the B RAF testing is very important and the surgeon who did biopsy didn’t get a good piece of the liver so the test couldn’t be done. She mentioned she would see if it could be done by blood testing and just never brought it up again. My new oncologist said there is no blood test to test for this, it has to be a piece of liver. . Just lots of little things that are alarming to me and I just feel for anyone with a serious cancer who is not at MDA. I know all cancer is serious but I’m talking about a stage 1 that she can easily heal, you may be fine, but one like line, NO! . Otherwise anything that entails surgeries and procedures, I just feel so comforted knowing I have a “team” of brilliant minds, working together to cure me. I sent her an email letting her know I’ve changed my care over to MDA, which Id told her previously I was waiting to get in. She said she just wanted me where I was comfortable. In the email I was thanking her for her treatment up to now, letting her know I was a little disappointed she never mentioned the nodule that could be more cancer floating in my abdomen called peritoneal disease, but I was kind and gracious and wished her well. She cancelled all my upcoming appointments but never gave me me the respect of a response. She’s very young, I hold nothing against her but consider your life if you’re dealing with a severe form of cancer before you get it done here. If you are able, RUN to MDA, who are respected globally for their care. Even my liver doc at Methodist said if he had my kind of cancer he’d be at MDA too. I told him I was waiting to get in and that was his response which I sought was very noble and honest of him. I was disappointed she didn’t think I was worthy of a response.
